Dr. Galen Fillmore has been providing outstanding orthodontic care to the Chico and Orland, CA communities for more than 25 years. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Fillmore stays up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics by maintaining active memberships in numerous prestigious professional organizations, such as the American Association of Orthodontics, the California Dental Association, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. Dr. Fillmore is highly qualified to provide the most state-of-the-art orthodontic care available.
I have been an RDA since 1990, for the past 11 years I have been working with Dr. Galen Fillmore, and before that I worked with his brother, Dr. Gerald Fillmore for 11 years. You will find me in the front office or the back working on patients, pretty much everywhere. I love getting to know our patients and their families, helping them in the process of creating a beautiful smile, most of all I love working with our amazing team!
I enjoy traveling all over the world with my husband, most of the time I have my toes in the sand in Hawaii, chilling in the snow in Lake Tahoe, or soaking up some sun at Disneyland with my daughter and 2 grandsons. We also have a Labrador retriever and a Mini Schnauzer that keep us pretty busy too!
My fianc and I have recently moved up North from the Bay Area (saving me a total of 3 hours in traffic each day). In my free time, I love playing with my pit bull and chihuahua, bowling, fishing, shooting, and driving my Jeep around in the mud. I also love telling and hearing jokes, so if you know a good one be sure to tell me when you come in!
I have been in the dental field for roughly 12 years and Ive been in orthodontics for 6 of those years. Youll find me in the back working on patients, covering patients noses in alginate, telling jokes, and just being goofy. You may also find me in the front managing the Denti-Cal claims.
I lived in the Bay Area for the last 8 years and recently moved to Chico. When Im not at work youll find me spending time with my kitties, Karli and Stevie, or training for some upcoming race. I enjoy running long distances and have been making great use of the trails Chico has to offer.
I recently graduated from a Dental Assisting program here in Chico, and started my career here at Dr. Fillmores office. Youll find me working in the back office assisting Dr. Fillmore, taking impressions, and joking with patients. I enjoy orthodontics because we get to build a relationship with our patients, and get to see how happy they are after years of hard work!
We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Dr. Fillmore offers his patients the choice of aesthetically-pleasing ceramic brackets or traditional metal brackets. Each option comes with the opportunity to personalize braces with the color(s) of each individual patients choice.
Fillmore Orthodontics offers full treatment for most patients or first phase treatment for young children who are not yet ready for full treatment. Both treatment phases work achieve a beautiful smile by correcting malocclusion, tooth alignment, and jaw relationship.

My daughter has had her braces for about 3 years and she just recently got them off. Dr. Fillmore and his staff were amazing. They worked around our work schedules for appointments, they were always available for questions and concerns. My daughter felt so comfortable with the staff. I'm actually going to stay with Dr. Galen for my second daughter's journey of a perfect smile. I highly recommend this office.

My daughter has had her braces for about 3 years and she just recently got them off. Dr. Fillmore and his staff were amazing. They worked around our work schedules for appointments, they were always available for questions and concerns. My daughter felt so comfortable with the staff. This place is AMAZING. I had to get braces for a second time in my late 20's and I didn't have any hope of getting my teeth fixed. Dr. Fillmore and his wonderful staff gave me the smile I have been wanting my whole life. It was such an amazing experience and i'm thankful I went into this place, they changed my smile forever. Highly recommend for anyone wanting that perfect smile!!

As I was getting towards the end of my two year treatment every appointment that I had they would try to pressure me into getting them off sooner even though my teeth weren't completely ready... which eventually I just got tired of them saying that. I payed 5,000 dollars out of my own pocket , and I am not happy with the results. 24 months of a complete waste of time and my hard earned money

Just got my braces removed and they did an amazing job! Every appointment was great. Everyone was welcoming and very professional! Would definitely recommend for braces.

This is the absolute best place. They are professional, polite , overall great. The staff is awesome especially the ladies who set appointments. I'm so glad we found them we will do all future business with them and our kids.

This office has been so incredibly helpful, accomodating, and proffessional. I called around to see which ortho had the most reasonable prices and they did by far. Without being a prior patient I was able to get in the same day to be fitted for a retainer my dog destroyed. They wanted to get me in asap so my teeth didnt shift anymore. I barely waited when I got there and the woman making the impressions explained everything perfectly and continued to ask what my main concerns were so they could best help me. I am so grateful that they were there to help!
