Dr. Darcy Galbraith has been proud to call Bellingham her home since 2007. She grew up in Spokane, Washington, and completed her undergraduate and dental training at the University of Washington. After receiving her DDS in 2005, she moved to Denver, Colorado, for two years before coming home to Washington State. The beauty of the Northwest and being close to family drew her to Bellingham. Since she has been in practice, the importance of continuing dental education and involvement in the community have been of utmost priority.
Dr. Galbraith is married to her husband, Chad Galbraith, who is a pediatric dentist in Bellingham. They have three sons and a daughter that keep them very active. They love spending time in the great outdoors as well as taking part in the wonderful community events Bellingham has to offer. Darcy understands the importance of family and has incorporated that attitude into how she treats her patients.
Dr. Marcus (Marc) Fairbanks was raised in Bellingham and graduated from Sehome High School. He attended University of Washington for both undergraduate and dental school graduating from dental school in 1978. While attending college he served in the Washington Air National Guard. After additional dental training he and his wife were pleased to return to Bellingham in 1980 to begin private practice.
Dr. Fairbanks feels so fortunate to live in such a vibrant community and to have raised a family here. Community involvement makes Bellingham a wonderful place to live. Dr. Fairbanks has been involved with Scouting, United Way, and served on the Board of the Children 's museum, as well as served with 'Lets Pool Together' to raise funds for building the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center. He serves presently as a board member of Interfaith Community Health Center and volunteers for numerous dental clinics and programs throughout our health community.
Dr. Terra Schmidt is a native of Washington State. She grew up in Tacoma, where her father practiced general dentistry for over 30 years. Dr. Schmidt did her undergraduate studies at Pacific Lutheran University. She received her DDS from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2003. Dr. Schmidt has a strong commitment to continuing dental education. Since graduation, she has completed courses from top dental educators and was a clinical instructor at the dental school.
Dr. Schmidt and her husband, Andy, are proud to call Bellingham home and to raise their two sons in such a strong community. They enjoy the Northwest's beauty and outdoors through hiking, skiing and water sports. Dr. Schmidt's other interests include dance, yoga, and cooking.
Dr. Schmidt 's philosophy on Dentistry:'I believe that as dentists we are treating the whole person, not just the mouth. Science has revealed connections between oral and systemic health. My goal as a dentist is to also treat the person, by listening to their concerns and desires. A person 's smile is a very important part of who they are. I want my patients to feel good about their teeth. By working together we can set achievable goals for a beautiful and healthy smile.'
Dr. Megan Abdo was born and raised in Arlington and is daughter of David Abdo who has been a private practice dentist for over 35 years in Arlington. She graduated from Arlington High School in 2012 and attended Pacific Lutheran University and Graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Abdo Played 4 years of college basketball at PLU being a captain Junior and Senior year and achieving all-conference honors. This helped her to learn to be a leader, not only of her team, but of the community through outreach events that she was involved in. Dr. Abdo graduated from UW dental school in June 2020.
Dr. Abdo enjoys playing all sports, hiking, skiing, boating and spending time with friends and family. She is looking forward to establishing a life in Bellingham and to be a part of the close knit community and all the wonderful outdoor activities that Bellingham has to offer.
