Dr. Galati has been practicing orthodontics in Scottsdale, Arizona, since 2000. He grew up in Jamestown, NY, but his family would visit relatives in Arizona, and he is thrilled to now call Arizona home. He undergoes advanced continuing education courses across the United States and attends monthly meetings through the Arizona Orthodontic Study Group and the Seattle Study Club to study the complex treatment of patients involving multi-disciplinary care. He and his team are here to help patients achieve the smiles of their dreams, and they are committed to changing lives one smile at a time.
EDUCATION Dr. Jay Galati graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in biological science, graduating cum laude. He then went to Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1998. He remained at Case Western Reserve University to complete his Orthodontic Specialty Training, as well as his Masters of Science degree, in 2000.
Dr. Galati has been married to his college sweetheart, Lisa, since 1995. They have two sons, Jack (graduate of Arizona State University) and Joey (attending University of Arizona). Dr. Galati is a devoted husband and father, and he loves spending his spare time enjoying the great outdoors all over Arizona and mastering new culinary skills.

Lauren Front Office Coordinator Im one of the first faces you see when you enter the office, and I love greeting our patients and making them feel at home. I have been part of Galati Orthodontics since the start of my orthodontic career in 2010, following an internship with Dr. Galati as part of my dental assisting program. A native of Phoenix, I attended Phoenix College for my associates degree. I began my career in the back office and love having the knowledge to fulfill front and back office roles so that I can help patients in all aspects of our practice. I appreciate how everyone on our team strives to support each other, and I consider them all part of my family. Im married to my high school sweetheart, and we have a daughter, a son, and two dogs.
Erica Orthodontic Technician Im a certified dental assistant and am X-ray certified; I have over 20 years of experience in the dental field, first working in a pediatric dental office and then progressing to orthodontics. Not surprisingly, Im very knowledgeable in caring for patients. I joined Dr. Galati early in his career before moving out of the state for a while. In 2013, I rejoined the Galati Orthodontics family. I love working with great people (patients included!) and getting to be myself. Im originally from Illinois, and my two great loves are pizza and Phoenix winters.
Crystalyn Treatment Coordinator Im the first person patients meet when they begin their orthodontic journey. I assist with all the steps needed to start treatment and answer any questions you may have. I joined Dr. Galati in 2015, but began my career in 2007. I have an AAS in dental assisting from The Bryman School. Im thrilled to have the opportunity to work with an amazing orthodontist and great group of ladies. I have done everything from clinical technician records and scheduling to fabricating orthodontic appliances, but my favorite position so far has been Treatment Coordinator. I absolutely love seeing how happy our patients are the day their treatment is complete, especially knowing I helped them reach this point! Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, being outdoors, running, and spending time with my husband and our two dogs.
Cassidi Orthodontic Technician I started my career with Galati Orthodontics in August 2015 after graduating from Altrain Dental Assisting Academy with perfect attendance, academic honors (straight As!), and certification in X-rays. I have known Dr. G since I was very young, so its rewarding to be able to work with him. I also appreciate how we are a family. My parents, three brothers, and dog Zoey are a big part of my life, and I recently became a brand-new aunt to my nephew, Ferris. My mom is also an orthodontic technician of 25 years. My hobbies include Xbox, softball, fishing, drawing, camping, visiting the shooting range, and working out.
Talia Front Office/Treatment Coordinator My smiling face is one of the first you get to see when you come into our office. I found my orthodontic calling with Dr. Galati in 2019. When I am not helping a patient start their orthodontic journey, I am doing crosswords, eating chocolate or getting my caffeine fix sometimes all at once! I also have a passion for exotic cars and getting my fitness on. I have a ton of energy and love the interaction that I get to experience with our patients and my team every day.
Sara Front Office I am one of the first friendly faces you see when you enter our office. I completed dental assisting school in June of 2021 and joined Dr. Galatis dental family in December that same year. I love that Dr. Gs practice is more than just an orthodontic office; its a family. Once you decide to move forward with treatment at our office, you become part of that family. We work to make your journey as seamless as possible, and I am proud to be certified in both CPR and RHS. Outside of the office, my partner in crime is my daughter, who joins me as we explore the outdoors and see what mischief we can get ourselves into, whether its exploring nature and creeks in Sedona, hiking trails in Scottsdale or checking out Arizona history in Tombstone. Fun fact, I am a coffee connoisseur and enthusiast; I enjoy supporting our local Scottsdale coffee shops and even work at one on the weekends!

As an adult who had to get braces for the second time (and was not particularly looking forward to it!), I am so thankful to have found Dr. Galati and his excellent team. I moved out of state for school shortly after getting my braces on, and they have been more than accommodating in fitting me in for appointments and addressing my concerns, even on short notice! I had some issues arise with my teeth (not because of the braces!), and Dr. Galati has always treated my situation with sensitivity. If you come here, you will truly be in the best of hands!!!

Hello! I've been going to Galati Orthodontics for about five years, and today was my last visit. My experience at Galati Orthodontics has been amazing and I cannot imagine anyone better. I've been going to Dr. Galati since I was 15 years old, and all throughout high school and college Lauren has helped me to coordinate every appointment around my busy schedule. With many thanks to Dr. Galati, Dr. Pogue, Erica, Cassidi, and so many more my teeth and smile are perfect!! I am so grateful to Dr. Galati and his incredible personnel for such an amazing experience. I will miss them dearly!

I LOVE this office!!! The staff and Dr. Galati are always warm, friendly and willing to accommodate difficult scheduling and lengthy questions. They have lovingly cared for the teeth of four people in my family over the course of 13 years. We are very pleased with the excellent and consistent results! I always feel at home here!!! I simply can't say enough good things. I'm 37 and just got braces for the first time. Starting with my very first phone call to schedule a consult, the staff treats me like they've known me for years. They are ALL incredibly nice, insanely comfortable to be around, extremely informative, and I feel 100% confident with the work they've done. I actually can't wait to get my wire tightened, just to see them all again - they really brightened my entire month with just their personalities. 100%, the best experience I've ever had. I'll be bringing my kiddo here when it's his time, without a doubt.

Dr. Galati is extremely thorough, focused on perfect results, and at the same time very friendly. He treated my cousin and did an AMAZING job. Her smile looks incredible. He is always willing to take time to explain each step of the treatment and why it's necessary as well as what patients can do to shorten the treatment time and get the best results. The office environment and staff are very friendly and fun! Every time I come in everyone is in such a great mood making them all such a pleasure to work with. Dr. Galati and his team are the best in the valley!

At 48, I bit the bullet and got braces (2nd time around), taking a recommendation from my dentist (Dr. Ann Sielicki of Sonoran Dental Design) to consider Dr. Galati. From the initial assessment, I had great experiences, across the entire staff and with Dr. Galati as well. The staff seems to work well together, with efficiency, professionalism, patience and kindness. I am currently into my 3rd month with braces and have noticed a remarkable difference already in my teeth. Dr. Galati seems keen on perfecting my teeth which is greatly appreciated. Having had braces in my early 20's, I can attest to many differences this time around and look forward to the final results! If you are in the market for braces, I highly recommend Dr. Galati. Dr. Galati and his staff are thorough, kind, get along well and their work is exceptional! Five stars -- !
