Not really happy with the process of the wisdom teeth removal day. They are nice enough before hand, cold afterwards. We felt like the surgery was rushed and my daughter felt they were very rude to her before and during the procedure, she was not made to feel comfortable or cared for, she cried the entire way home. She had 4 wisdom teeth removed. Doctor came to me afterwards, said she did fine and left. No time for questions or anything. Odd, there is no follow up appointment nor a phone call, checking in, from the staff the day of or even after. Not a good experience.

I was made to feel completely unwelcome and untrusted. The staff at the facility were nice, but Dr. Simonton was not even remotely warm or compassionate. In fact it felt as if he were actively going out of his way to make me uncomfortable. Went for a consultation because this place had the soonest available consultation and I need six teeth removed (wisdom teeth + two molars they damaged). The second he walked in the door he immediately blasted into a barrage of questions worded about as ungraciously as one could tolerate (only after making fun of the way my name is spelled). He was judgemental of the majority of my responses and on various occasions talked over me or interrupted me before I could even finish answering the questions he asked me. As soon as he had something to say he treated me as if I wasn't speaking at all. Upon seeing that I am taking OTC vitamin supplements he acted as if I were some kind of alien, asking if I am taking them "just for fun." I have a deficiency which was confirmed by lab tests. It was quite clear he did not believe me when I told him my psychiatrist ordered the lab tests and that while I am deficient, I was not prescribed anything for it. He then proceeded to grill me over why I don't have a current psychiatrist, pointing out that they never "took me off" my anxiety medication (which I had to stop because I developed serotonin syndrome). From this point on it was clear that he felt as if I was being untruthful about my medical history. He told me that the procedure would have to be done at a separate facility so someone else could administer the anesthesia because my "anxiety" somehow made him under-confident in administering it to me personally. I brought this up with his staff and they appeared visibly confused, further adding to the feeling that I wasn't being trusted by him. After getting home I began researching and found various terrifying reviews across multiple websites about his patients waking up during the procedure and being yelled at by him, held down, or otherwise forced to continue without any concern for the fact that his patient had woken up DURING A SURGERY. While I can't confirm those accounts, my experience interacting with him genuinely lead me to feel as if those accounts are likely to be true. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading those reviews before making an appointment. As someone else pointed out, no wonder he was available sooner than everyone else. I can't imagine why anyone would patronize his practice after being treated like that. Needless to say I will not be having my procedure done by him. He is actively driving away clients with the way he treats them. I have absolutely no reason to trust such a cold and disrespectful person with my life. Business tip: If you operate a business where your clients have to trust you so blindly that they let you drug them up and play with power tools in their mouth, you should be welcoming and compassionate. You need to earn their trust, and you need to make them feel safe.

I just wanted to share and inform all future parents/people that bring their children or family here of my experience since you're not aloud back there and no phones are aloud either. Despite being told I would be put under multiple times beforehand even at my previous appointment I was not asleep instead I was conscious enough to hear the tools being used and feel the pressure and feel my (2/4) teeth being removed out of my mouth, my body uncontrollably started shaking and convulsing, Dr.Fred then proceeded to literally yell at me multiple times to "stop" as if I had any control over my body then finally told the nurse to give me "fentanyl" and I was knocked out for the last two remaining teeth. After the fact he told my fiance to "pull around the side of the building" but refused to tell him how I was and if I was okay after my fiance repeatedly asked. I will say that the receptionist and 2 assistants were very nice and helpful so thank you to the 3 of them.

I took my husband there to get 3 teeth cut out & they were nothing but professional! They were straight to the point & made my husband feel very comfortable while there. I was skeptical bc of the negative reviews but we took our chances. They treated us with respect & was very nice during the entire visit.

I am giving this place here a 2 out of 5. Everyone at the staff was nice so far apart from one of them, even after viewing the amount of 1 star reviews this place has. The rating could've been better if I didn't miss school and or my mom missing work for one day for absolutely nothing. I was denied mid-way for not having a Spanish translator with me. They could've at least told my mom before the initial date for the appointment, in fact anyone who has to go here-- that if anybody had a secondary or primary language other than English that they should bring a translator over the age of 15 (I am currently 15 and needing four teeth to be removed, before fully getting my braces on). Also, I don't get why someone has to be over the age of 15 to be able to translate? Why do they want the translator to be present? This whole situation could've been 100% preventable and totally not time consuming, don't get me wrong. A good and prime example, my mom's doctor in Atlanta (which is a two hour drive from our house) could not understand what the doctor was saying to her and plus, she didn't bring any Spanish translator's with her. The doctor asked if my mom had a friend or family she can call, she called my older sister of course, the doctor talked to my older sister over the phone and went on with the procedure on my mom. Same scenario here, I don't understand why they couldn't just talk to my older sister over the phone? When a doctor, literally two hours away could do it. I highly doubt that they don't think they understand how far people come to see them, for me it's a hour and 5 drive to their office. I have to miss part of school because I cannot make it in time. I definitely did not just come here for pure enjoyment and fun, but because I want my teeth to be normal and better. Honestly, I probably won't ever be coming back. Both of my parents are absolutely furious with this and so am I. If your a person with a secondary language and can't understand English well and your recommended here, either don't go or bring someone who knows how to translate English to your language. Thank you for reading , -- Meekoozo (anonymous)

My mother was referred here for a jaw infection and although she had to choose a different Dr that took medical Medicare, she had a great experience here! The Dr was incredibly nice and detailed and the office staff gave my mom all the info she needed to transfer to Emory! After reading other reviews I was worried but we were absolutely satisfied and thrilled with her treatment!

Very rude staff. Had problems with insurance and Waited for their call back to see if they accepted it. Called to ask questions and the lady was very rude.

Take these reviews about how rude this guy is to heart. He spoke to me like he was looking for a point to make a condescending jab and he took a few. What's the point of being in a medical field if you clearly carry so much disdain for the people who come to you in need of help?

My daughter was referred to Dr. Simonton to get her wisdom teeth removed. I was nervous after reading the reviews, but he did great with my daughter. While Dr. Simonton isn't warm and fuzzy, he seemed to be very good at his job-my daughter didn't have any issues.

First complaint would be that they didnt put a vest on me when I got my xray. Second complaint would be that the doctor completely ignored my fear of IV, I wound up going elsewhere. I would NOT recomend this place.

I call for an appointment, and they got me in right away. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. The doctor was straight to the point no sugar coating. If your looking for a doctor to be gentle while your in pain, he's not that, but he's very good at what he does. Had me in and out in no time feeling 1000 percent better than when I went in. He's very knowledgeable in his practice, and I would definitely go back in a heartbeat...

I had my wisdom teeth removed just today. The staff was quick and friendly. They did not make me feel nervous. Everything was quick and painless and the doctor was very nice. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, which all four were impacted. My surgery only took 20 minuets. The doctor was very experienced and I would highly recommend him.
