I LOVE my job! What could be better? I get to see wonderful people regularly and help them to be healthy, comfortable, and confident. Being a dentist is never boring because dentistry is always advancing, the result of research and scientific discovery.
My hometown is in Los Angeles County. Attending the University of Southern California, I was awarded membership to Phi Beta Kappa. There at USC I developed an interest in helping urban kids, cinema as an art form, and dentistry. The move to San Francisco to attend dental school at the University of the Pacific was a shock to my system. The chilly summers and the urban traffic were tough at first. But the natural beauty of the Bay Area won me over!
I have been practicing dentistry in San Francisco for over 30 years. Throughout this time, I have volunteered in communities in San Francisco and the East Bay, performing dental screenings and teaching kids how to care for their teeth. I also spent some time teaching at the UCSF School of Dentistry and serving on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Dental Society.
Dr. Andrew grew up in a family of dentists (there are 25 dentists in the family and counting!), so he swore off dentistry and decided to be an engineer. What drew him back into dentistry was the epiphany that he could use his skills as an engineer to solve the technical problems that dentists face every day.

Dr Jang is one of the best doctors I've ever have. She is friendly, patient and professional. She always gives great advice and she really cares for her patients! What impressed me the most is when covid first broke out, I called Dr Jang because my temporary crown fell off. Dr Jang's office, as well as all other dentists' offices, were closed. I thought I had to wait until the lockdown was over. However, without hesitation, she asked me to meet her in the office. Then Dr Jang and Cindy, her assistant drove to the city and worked on my crown for hours and put a permanent crown on me. This happened back when there was no vaccine yet and we heard people die of covid on news everyday! Thank you so much, Dr Jang and team! You are truly a doctor in need!

The entire office from the receptionist to Dr. Andrew Jang were amazing. Very diligent, down to earth and treat you as a family. Everyone is conscientious about their responsibilities. They are simply amazing.

Dr. Gail combines outstanding, meticulous skill as a dentist with active coaching of her patients to help them become better in their own daily habits. Technically strong and current, she also has a warm, genuine bedside manner. You could not do better than Dr. Gail.

I have been going to see dr Gail for 20+ years. Before her I did not go to dentist, it was almost traumatic.... she has confidence + gentleness that is comforting. I come from a place where i neither like or trust people very much yet i fine that I often fall asleep... i know weird huh.... check them out if you need a dentist

I've been going here for years and they are really the best dentist experience in town. Patient, thorough, and very personal. Dr. Gail feels more like a friend than just my dentist. Hard to find this type of business anywhere these days--highly recommended!

Gail is super detailed/thorough and very personable. I have been at this practice for many years and Gail, Kim, and Cindy are all remarkable. I have had nothing but positive experiences in my time with them. I am so glad I found them from my previous dentist, which shall remain unnamed. They are a class above and in my case, several classes above where I was.

After trying several dentists over the years, I finally found Dr Gail Jang. First thing she solved was painful sensitivity I had in a tooth. My previous dentist tried and failed to solve it with root canal. Dr Jang simply filed teeth in a few places and it was solved! That was just the beginning. She offered simple but very effective ways for me to maintain healthy teeth and it works! She solved my mild sleep apnea symptoms by fitting me with a special night guard which I have been using successfully now for years. Because she does the cleaning herself, she is very aware of what Is going on and heads off problems. I highly recommend Dr Gail for very attentive and successful dental care!

I've been going to Jang Family Dentistry for over 20 years and I'm very thankful to have such skilled, professional, and kind medical providers. I have had cleanings, fillings, and crowns-all were done with a high level of competence and with little or no pain. Both Dr. Gail Jang and Dr. Andrew Jang are truly interested in the overall dental and gum health of each patient and offer individualized care. I highly recommend this practice if you are in need of high quality dental services.

Dr. Gail is the best! Our family has been seeing her for 30+. Very gentle and thorough. I don't ever want her to retire, but it's probably close. I even told her that if I ever move from CA, I would come back twice a year just to see her for my dental care. Highly recommend her!!!

I highly recommend Jang dentistry. Both dentists and staff are professional, kind and will answer any questions you may have. I had an emergency dental issue and Dr. Andrew immediately came in on his day off to help me. I feel at ease that I have found a dentist I can trust.

My family has been coming to Dr. Jang for over 25 years and we wouldn't change dentists if you paid us. Dr Gail and Dr Andrew are kind and compassionate, and they take excellent care of us. I especially like how they work with us to come up with a treatment plan, and are never judgmental. I recommend them for all ages. They are fantastic!!!

Dr. Gail has been my dentist since I was a child and even though I've moved away from the bay area, I still make the flight to see her for my 6 month check up and cleanings. She makes it worth the trip because she really is the kindest and most caring dentist! I also greatly appreciate her patience because I have a lot of teeth issues and she's always there one step at a time helping me keep my teeth healthy :)

I came to Dr. Jang after hearing only good things from my husband, who (along with his whole family) has been seeing Dr. Jang for many years. My husband would routinely tell me he was excited to go to the dentist, which always puzzled me. I finally switched over to Dr. Jang a year ago and now I finally understand! Dr. Jang and her staff are all incredibly kind, gentle (I have sensitive teeth!) and patient. I find the teeth cleaning process actually relaxing... I appreciate that she explains everything thoroughly. Her staff are very warm and helpful. Overall I highly recommend, and hope to continue seeing Dr. Jang for many years!

Dr. Gail Jang is the best! She has been our family dentist for over 20 years now. She's a great dentist, very gentle and good with kids too! Jang Family Dentistry has been part of our family to help keep our teeth and gums healthy. Everyone in their office are very helpful, friendly, and professional. The office is very clean, it has a really nice and calming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Dr. Gail Jang.
