Dr. Cosgrove maintains memberships in many professional organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and The Beverly Hills Academy of Dentistry. She is also a member of the esteemed Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Cosgrove currently serves on the Peer Review Committee of the Los Angeles Dental Society and has been an active member of this committee for the past 4 years. Dr. Cosgrove is committed to staying on the top of her field and has completed many hours of continuing education including the Esthetic Continuum at UCLA Dental Schools and the Kois Series of Courses.
She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania she decided to follow in the footsteps of her father and received her dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center. Dr. Cosgrove has been in private practice since 1996.
Dr. Povitz was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at McGill University, then continued her studies at McGill's dental school, graduating with distinction in 2011 as a doctor of dental medicine. The following year, Dr. Povitz completed a General Practice Residency. She has worked in private practice since 2011.
Dr. Povitz was a young leader in the Montreal dental community as a member of numerous professional associations. She sat on the executive committee for the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and looks forward to being involved in many of the dental organizations here in Los Angeles. Dr. Povitz attends continuing education courses to continually enrich her knowledge and skills to best benefit her patients as the field advances.

Allison started her career in dentistry in 2007 as an insurance auditor and treatment coordinator in her home state of Georgia. After moving to Los Angeles in April 2013 and trying to find her work home she met Dr. Cosgrove and her amazing team. Allison has been the Practice Manager since January 2014 and has appreciated the opportunity to learn and grow with the office. Working as the liaison between patient and doctor, she has the opportunity to build relationships with our patients and provide superior customer care. Not only is she trained in account and chart auditing as well as insurance, but also has training in the Ritz Carlton Gold Standard Customer Service.
Andrea is a native of Los Angeles and has been in customer service for over 10 years. Although she is new to dentistry, Andrea has been an incredible asset to our team. Andrea loves meeting people and building relationships with patients.
Chelsea has been with us since November of 2020. She has worked in various aspects of customer service over the past 8 years but has found true joy in dentistry. Chelsea appreciates getting to know our patients and learning new dental techniques. Coming from Alabama, Beverly Hills has been quite an exciting change.
When not in the office, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their 2 cats. Exploring LA has proven to be a bit difficult due to the pandemic restrictions, however, she enjoys it all the same.
Erica is the newest member of our team! She comes to us with 12 years of experience and passion in dentistry. Erica was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and graduated from American Career College for Dental Assisting.
Maryam was born and raised in Iran. She came to America when she was 15 years old and finished high school in Los Angeles. She completed her Bachelors Degree in Science at USC and Dental Hygiene at USC School of Dentistry. She has over 17 years of experience in the field of dental hygiene and has been a clinical instructor at USC Dental School. She has been with Dr. Cosgrove for over 10 years and is also a member of different professional dental organizations such as The American Dental Hygiene Association and Dental Hygiene Club of Beverly Hills.
Miranda graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. She relocated to Los Angeles in June of 2016. She is very empathetic and knows how to handle patients with any level of dental anxiety. She enjoys building rapport and having a solid relationship with patients. It allows a sense of comfort that can make going to the dentist that much more enjoyable. Miranda has a passion for health and service. She believes in the importance of oral health education and providing preventive services, and does her best to encourage everyone that they can have a healthy and bright smile.
Not only is Josie the newest member of our team she is also the cuddliest. Josie was born December 1st, 2021, and is a PooChi. She loves spending time with her mom (Allison), aunties, and especially our patients. Josie is a registered psychiatric therapy dog in training and is eager to ease your dental phobias.

Let's face it.. no one seems to like going to the dentist. This is the FIRST time I have ever been "fine" with going to the dentist. Dr. Cosgrove's office is the absolute BEST! The staff is professional, warm, helpful & friendly. I ALWAYS leave this office feeling like I could've spent more time there...

I have been going to Gaby Cosgrove for years. She and her team are terrific. Initially it was just me going, but over time now my wife and three adult children all go to her. Nothing but positives to say. You will be in very good hands.

Both Doctors Cosgrove and Povitz are just exceptional with immense expertise but also integrity. They will tell you when you don't need a certain procedure even though it means less money to them - I have never seen this happen with my other dentists, who were all determined to max out my insurance and to have me do every conceivable procedure with subpar results. They are both wonderful, amazing doctors and so immensely kind and gracious to boot. I will never go to anyone else.

No one enjoys going to the dentist. I must say I don't mind at all. Going to Dr Cosgrove's office is a way to leave your worries behind ( except your teeth) and enter an office with happy, friendly, and an experienced staff. A wonderful atmosphere for a dental office.You know the dentist demands excellence from them because she demands it of herself. Dr COSGROVE works efficiently and will deal with any quirks you may have . No judgements. She can diagnosis a problem where other dentists don't and deals with complicated cases besides the everyday ones. I will never put my mouth in the hands of another dentist. My trust in her is complete.

Dr Cosgrove has been my dentist for close to 7 years now. She and her upbeat, friendly staff make going in for a cleaning as painless and pleasant an experience as possible. Most importantly I trust Dr Cosgrove to help me make practical, solution-oriented plans to keep my oral health in tip top condition, without ever pushing me into unnecessary or overly-expensive treatments. I've visited the office for cleanings twice since Covid, and they handle the safety protocols in a way patients can feel safe and protected. The office is immaculate.

Dr Povitz is the best. She takes the time to review each X-ray and explains if anything is of concern, the why and how to prevent further issues. They measure your gums exactly and provide an actual plan at the end of the appointment for you to go home with and implement. Cannot recommend Dr Povitz and the team more.

This was my first visit to a doctor's office since the pandemic (it is now the end of May). As usual Dr. Cosgrove's office was perfect, always buttoned up, always a pleasure to go to--and especially now now when life is so constrained. Dr. Cosgrove, all her technicians and staff are the creme de la creme. I'd go there during any plague or any other time for that matter.
