Dr. Michael Perez completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, graduating with honors. He then attended the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating in 1991 with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, and in 1992 completed a General Practice Residence at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. He has practiced in South Florida, in the city of Coral Gables for over 25 years.
Dr. Michael Perez is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Clear Aligners and the International Association of Orthodontics. He regularly attends continuing education courses in all aspects of dentistry through the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the United States Dental Institute and the Gerber Center for Occlusal Studies to remain up-to-date with the latest advances in the dental field. As a dentist, he is committed to delivering the very best dental care to patients of all ages in a friendly and relaxed environment.
Maria received her dental hygiene degree in 1995, and joined Gables Exceptional Smiles in 2017. She enjoys building relationships with our team and patients and helping educate our patients on keeping their mouths and smiles in optimal condition.
Marisol joined our team in 2017, and is currently working towards completing a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She enjoys the family atmosphere of our office and the range of all ages that we see in our patients. She loves assisting with a vast array of dental procedures and helping to deliver quality dental care to each of our patients.
Raquel has been with our team since 2018. She relishes helping our patients feel better about their smiles, and enjoys making her patients feel relaxed while we deliver exceptional dental care. She also appreciates that our office keeps up with the latest technology, which keeps her job fresh and exciting.
Rafael has been part of the Gables Exceptional Smiles team since 2013. He has completed certifications as an Orthodontic Expanded Duties Assistant and an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, and is currently pursuing his Bachelors degree in biology with the goal of attending dental school in the future. As an orthodontic assistant, he takes pride in ensuring that all patient care is conducted in a memorable, accurate and safe manner, and is always encouraging our team to be the best version of themselves. Rafael enjoys building genuine relationships with his patients so that he can assist them in feeling confident with their smile, and he loves being able to follow treatment plans with our patients.

Dr Perez is the best dentist for kids ever! Both my 12 year old daughter loves Dr Perez as des my 4 year old son. My daughter has had an expander for 11/2 years followed by braces and her experience has been very pleasant. I am so grateful to Dr Perez and his excellent staff for making my kids feel comfortable woth all of their visits and dental needs. 5 star dentist all the way!

Gables Exceptional Smiles, I came across their office when my children were very young. My daughter was three years old I believe and my son was about maybe 10 they are today 10 years old and 18. Dr. Perez is himself exceptional as well as his staff. I love that he cares and he is so sweet and kind to everyone of his patients, no one more and no one less. I believe that I am truly lucky and so are my children to have found his office. I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend him for your family's dental needs
