I've been with Dr. Gatrell since he took over the practice from his father many years ago. He is great. He cares about his patients. He's very thorough. Jamie and all of the other people who work for him are wonderful.

If you're looking for an honest dentist, keep looking. Do NOT go to Dr Gatrell. His office does not know how to communicate and you end up being billed $100 for services you did not agree to. They put a permanent retainer on my 17 year old without my knowledge or consent. I called them the day of the appointment, after they put it on her, and informed them I did not know they were doing that. In fact, my daughter didn't realize that was what the appointment was for. She did not want another permanent retainer placed, but she is a teenager that is too timid to speak up. She didn't know what to say once she was in the chair. The response I got when I voiced my concern about them doing a procedure without my informed consent was that they would bill insurance. Well, insurance didn't cover it. Called again after getting the surprise bill and said it was unethical to bill me for something I did not consent to on my underage child. Jamie's response was there was nothing she could do beyond taking $25 off (um... you're a privately owned office that determines your prices). She then told me there was a breakdown in communication as my daughter had been making her own appointments and bringing herself. Well, the breakdown in communication falls on Dr Gatrell and his staff. They should have contacted me to discuss what they were wanting to do and if it was okay. Again, informed consent. Instead, when she contacted me to schedule the appointment she said, "I need to schedule the 3 of you for a cleaning." How was I suppose to glean from that that only my son and I were getting the cleaning covered by insurance and my daughter was getting a $100 retainer placed? Should I not have gotten a paper with a quote, because I never did? There are still honest dentists out there, this office isn't one of them. Keep looking. Terrible customer service and unethical patient care.

First time for cleaning and exam. My expectations were exceeded! The dental hygenist was very thorough with my cleaning and Dr. Gatrell was extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Overall I would highly recommend this dentist!

I have been going to Dr Gatrell my whole life, both senior and junior. They have always been amazing.They hygienists are always very thorough and friendly. Going to them as a child was never scary or a bad experience, and going to them as an adult has always been easy and quick (in part do to their work on my teeth as a child). I would always suggest them to anyone looking for a dentist.

I've been going to Dr. Gatrell for a number of years not and he's always done an excellent job with my dental needs. Recently I chipped a front tooth and had some wear issues. He repaired my chipped incisor and fixed my wear issues quickly and did an absolutely amazing job with the repair. He is a master in is profession. Highly recommended!

As a former dental hygienist for 30 years in another state, I know a little about dentistry. It is scary going to a new dentist in a new town that you don't know. After seeing Dr. Gatrell for a crown, I can report that his injections of anesthetic were completely painless. Even on the palate which is really hard to do. I was nervous when he did not use topical anesthetic first, but his technique is so careful and deliberate that I didn't even feel it and I am a very sensitive patient. He takes his time to do things the right way. He listens to the patient, and chooses the best procedure for the patient. He has a likable personality and great chair-side manner. It is obvious that he is a guy who TRULY LOVES his work! That kind of attitude, and extra skill set that he gained from being a Navy dentist makes him the king of guy I want taking care of my dentistry, and that of my family.

Dr. Gatrell is caring, personable, professional and meticulous. My husband and I trust him so much so that we stopped taking our three children to a pediatric dentist and now our entire family is under his care. My four-year old loves being in the dentist's chair. Dr. Gatrell even performed a root canal on her after her brother bumped her front tooth and it died!

No BS here. Does great work and not out do more work than needs to be done. I value the honest approach when it comes to my mouth. Thanks for a great 5+ years so far.

Dr. Gatrell is caring, personable, professional and meticulous.
