My father was a dentist. When I was a child, I didnt really know much about what Dentistry entailed other than it had something to do with teeth. In middle school I learned what a dentist was actually doing and the thought of building things with my hands really appealed to me. To be honest, it is one of the most rewarding professions out there because people come in with tooth problems, and typically we are able to solve their problems with immediate results, he says.
Originally from Syosset, NY, Dr. Gadkar is a New Yorker through and through (and a diehard NY Giants fan.) He completed his training at the prestigious seven-year combined dental program between Adelphi University and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He earned his bachelors degree in Biology from Adelphi University in 2004 and his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2007; at 23, he graduated as youngest in his class. Afterward, he completed a 1 year hospital-based general practice residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center.
My father was a first generation immigrant who came here in 1978. He worked odd jobs while simultaneously attending NYU Dental School. He graduated and opened a practice in Brooklyn. He is a 100% rags to riches story. He came to the states with less than 300 dollars to his name and provided for his family. Dr. Gadkar said. My father helped shape my career and he really showed me the ropes when I first started. I give the rest of the credit to my wife who pushes me to be the most ambitious and hardworking dentist/small business owner that I can be.
Dentistry is extremely rewarding. Its a rarity in life that you get to join a unique profession and get to work alongside your father and your wife. I also love the instant gratification that I get from treating our patients and the happiness that they get when we render successful treatments, he said.

Dr M & Dr G, including the whole staff are professional and caring. The facility is up to date and very clean. They are on time with there scheduling and have flexible hours. Dr M & Dr G are gentle and professional dentist's in which I truly recommend!

I'm always amazed when I go to G&M. It's always sterile. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The dental assistant made me feel comfortable and aided the Dentist with my cleaning . The Dentist was wonderful. I recommend this office for your dental needs ( with or without insurance... they have a reasonable in house plan).

Ahhh I love this dentists office. I went in for a cleaning and check up. Melody was my hygienist for the cleaning and she was awesome! She was thorough, warm, patient, and comforting. This visit was one of the best I'd ever had at a dentist office and actually made me regret staying away for so long. Dr. Malavia is also great. She is warm and personable. Aside from the great staff, the location is clean, bright, and airy. Office is located not too far from Main Street in Elmsford, close to the Saw Mill and 287 Highway. The building houses other offices and has plenty of parking.

No one is a huge fan of the dentist, but after coming here for my first cleaning I'm looking forward to coming back. Melody was my hygienist and probably the best hygienist I've ever had. I had an excess of plaque buildup but Melody was so thorough and gentle I didn't feel a thing. Dr. Malavia and my X-ray technician (her name escapes me) were also very nice the whole office is so nice and welcoming. Look no further than G&M Family Dental.

I don't like going to the dentist, for all the usual reasons. But I have to say the folks at G&M Family Dental are great. Appointment started on time, Had my second crown put in today. The first one needed a root canal, absolutely painless. I can not recommend G&M Family Dental enough, they are excellent!

I was very impressed with G&M family dental. They thoroughly examined my teeth and did an outstanding job of cleaning them. I thought I was going to need an expensive teeth whitening service but there expertise in cleaning and stain removal made my smile look great again. Thanks To them. They just earned a permanent new patient.
