Dr. Fransiskus Andrianto is a Prosthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He specializes in treating patients with complex restorative needs, highly esthetic cases, reconstruction, and implant dentistry. He is also a Qualifed Dentist of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, providing patients with oral appliance therapy to treat sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), including snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Dr. Andriantos goal is to provide patients with comprehensive prosthodontic treatment to improve function, aesthetics, confidence, and overall oral health. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care whilst attending to the needs and concerns of his patients. Through the use of treatment modalities such as veneers, crowns, bridges, implants, and dentures, he delivers personalized treatment tailored to each individual.
Dr. Andrianto holds a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Airlangga University, Indonesia and the University of Detroit Mercy. In 2013, he received a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science from Columbia University. During his 3-year training program, he specialized in fixed and removable prosthodontics, dental implants, and full mouth rehabilitations. He then completed a 2-year Implant Periodontal Prosthodontics Fellowship at the University of Maryland, during which he received extensive training in dental implant surgery.
Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Andrianto served on the faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy while also maintaining his research on dental materials, fixed and implant prosthodontics. He co-authored a chapter on Ceramic Veneers and Partial Coverage Restorations in the textbook, Esthetics in Dentistry and became a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
While on the faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy, Dr. Andrianto also maintained a private practice in the Detroit metropolitan area. He later transitioned his practice to the Chicago metropolitan area with a focus on full-mouth implant rehabilitation including the All-on-4 concept. During this time, he collaborated with oral surgeons, periodontists, and dental implant laboratory technicians. He is excited to join Fusion Dental Specialists and have the opportunity to work with a team of highly trained specialists in one location; he strongly believes that this allows for more efficient collaboration, making treatment convenient for the patient thus resulting in predictable outcomes.
Dr. Andrianto enjoys travelling and photography, and is an avid foodie, Broadway musical and concert goer. He is excited to explore the outdoor activities in the Pacific Northwest and different Portland neighborhoods.
Dr. Despoina Bompolaki is a Prosthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. She treats patients who demand high quality esthetic dentistry as well as those in need of extensive restorative procedures ranging from complete dentures to full mouth rehabilitations on natural teeth or dental implants. Dr. Bompolaki strives to improve her patients oral health and overall confidence, approaches each patient comprehensively, and uses minimally invasive treatments whenever possible. She strives for excellence, pays great attention to detail, and is committed to providing her patients a great experience at every visit.
Dr. Bompolaki holds a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. In 2011, she received a Certificate in Prosthodontics and completed a Masters in Oral Biology from Texas A&M University (Baylor College of Dentistry). During this 3-year training program, she received extensive experience with dental implants, porcelain veneers, and full mouth reconstructions.
After graduating from Prosthodontics residency, she became an Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics at Marquette University School of Dentistry. In 2015, she joined at Oregon Health & Science University, where she is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. She is responsible for teaching Prosthodontics to the next generation of dentists, supervising them during their clinical training, and giving lectures to the Periodontology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and General Practice postgraduate residents.
Dr. Bompolakis clinical research in Fixed and Implant Prosthodontics has been funded by the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics as well as the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Foundation and her published work has been recognized nationally and internationally. She is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a member of the Academy of Osseointegration and serves on several committees at a national level, within these two organizations.
Dr. Bompolaki has maintained an active clinical practice throughout her academic career. She is excited to join a multi-specialty practice at Fusion Dental Specialists, where patients have a truly unique opportunity to be treated by a team of multiple highly-trained specialists in one location.
When not treating patients or thinking about their teeth, Dr. Bompolaki enjoys everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer; she has always been into camping and indie movies, and after moving in Portland she discovered she is also an avid bike commuter, an adventurous hiker, and an unapologetic foodie.
As a Periodontist, Dr. Lillian Nguyen specializes in the management and treatment of periodontitis, replacement of teeth with dental implants, procedures related to dental implants such as bone grafting and sinus augmentation, esthetic soft tissue (gum) grafting, and treatment of peri-implantitis. Dr. Nguyen strives to provide all her patients with high quality, evidence-based treatment while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
Prior to her dental education, her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Portland. Dr. Nguyen then obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University in 2017, and then received a Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Periodontics from OHSU in 2020. In addition to clinical training at OHSU, her research focused on the role of dental plaque bacteria in the early development of peri-implant diseases, and aims to identify the optimal interface between implants and crowns that may lead to prevention of peri-implantitis. Her research is currently in preparation for publication to peer-reviewed journals and will be presented nationally and internationally.
A Portland native, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting local wineries, traveling, and staying active and running with her husband, Patrick. With a background in performing arts, Dr. Nguyen has a great appreciation for music and dance and can be found reigniting her passion at local dance studios.
Dr. Yota Stathopoulou is a Periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease, cosmetic periodontal procedures, advanced bone grafting, placement of dental implants, and treatment of implant complications. Whenever appropriate, she utilizes minimally invasive techniques and sedation to ensure that her patients are comfortable during and after therapy. As a member of a multi-specialist team, she is able to offer same-day implants and restoration for extensive cases, as well as state-of-the-art treatment for highly esthetic cases.
Dr. Stathopoulou holds a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. She received a certificate in Periodontics from the University of Louisville and completed a Master of Science and PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the same institution.
After working for several years in a multi-disciplinary specialty private practice in her native city of Athens, Dr. Stathopoulou relocated to Philadelphia in 2012 to assume a full-time faculty position at the University of Pennsylvania where she served as the Director of Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Periodontics, and as the Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs. In 2019, Dr. Stathopoulou was recruited by Oregon Health & Science University, where she is currently Associate Professor and Director of the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics. Dr. Stathopoulou has published in peer-reviewed journals, lectures nationally and internationally, and has been the recipient of several prestigious scholarships and awards. Her clinical research focuses on the non-surgical treatment of periodontitis and periimplantitis, and has been supported by industry and the National Institutes of Health; her basic science research focuses on host-bacterial interactions and their role in the pathogenesis of periodontal disease.
Dr. Stathopoulou has trained hundreds of dental students and residents while maintaining an active clinical practice throughout her academic career. In 2020 she joined Fusion Dental Specialists in Happy Valley, sharing Dr. Barewals and Dr. Weesners vision for excellence. Dr. Stathopoulou is committed to providing evidence-based and patient-centered care, and aims to serve as a resource for the local dental community.
Dr. Stathopoulou lives in West Linn with her husband, Kostas, and their very active preschooler, Eirene. As a family, they love hiking, skiing, and exploring the nature of the Pacific Northwest, while Yota and Kostas also enjoy visiting the wineries and farm-to-table restaurants of the Willamette Valley.
