I love creating long-lasting relationships with my patients and their families. I enjoy talking with them throughout their visits, learning each persons unique story. Those conversations teach me a lot about the world and about myself. I hope my patients understand how much I treasure being included in their lives.

I actively pursue continuing education (CE) opportunities throughout the year. CE involvement keeps me engaged in the lifelong adventure of learning. It also ensures Im current with the latest advances in all fields of dentistry. For my patients, it means the most up-to-date, effective care with the best results for their smile. I regularly attend conferences, meetings, and lectures. Im also an active member of a local study club.

I grew up in Port Orchard, WA, a small town across the water from Seattle. Interestingly, its the same small town as my business partner in our Killeen office, Dr. Johnson. Weve known each other since we were in diapers and graduated from the same high school. We went to dental schools on opposite sides of the country, before weboth decided to set down roots in the great state of Texas. I openedFusion Dental in Waco, in 2012 and Dr. Johnson and Iwere excitedto open a second locationtogether in Killeen in 2014.

I live in Waco with my wife and two children. When Im not at work, youll no doubt find me at the local community center most nights of the week, cheering on the sidelines or helping coach one of my childrens sports teams. While I also love to fish,or play a roundor two of golf, there is no place Id rather be thanwith my family.

I love working here in Killeen whereour community is a true melting pot of people from all over the country. I truly enjoy getting to know all the unique families we serve and am honored they have chosen us to be their dental healthcare partners.

As a dentist, I enjoy educating my patients about their oral health, by teaching themabout the connection between a healthy mouth and a healthier body, Im able to motivate them to take better care of both. I focus on a persons specific dental concerns andtogetherwe identify areas where they can improve their home carethrough better nutrition, developing healthy habits, and byimproved home dental hygiene.

Being a dentist means Im able to help peoplewhether Imgetting someone out of pain, or restoring and improving a smile, Im making a difference and itis immensely rewarding, both professionally and personally.

I continue to take extensive advanced continuing dental education in order to refine my skills and best serve my patients. Ive studied cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, implant restoration, and sedation dentistry. I take pride in providing the very best treatment available, using the most modern techniques.

I grew up in the same small town outside Seattle, WA as Dr. Boekweg. After havinggraduatedfrom the University of WashingtonSchool of Dentistry, I moved to Central Texas and was proud to spendfour years at Fort Hood serving as a dentistin the United States Army. I loved taking care of our soldiers and their familes and that experience led meto stay and openFusion Dental at Clear Creek. Im nowcurrently serving in the Texas Army National Guard, spending one weekend a month at Camp Bullis. I love keeping ourNation's troops healthy and the new opportunites and challenges it affords me. Some of my proudest accomplishments are havingearned the Air Assault Badge, and the Expert Field Medic Badge, I am very excited tobe going to Airborne School in February 2016.

I am married to my beautiful wife Eirian. We enjoy relaxing at home and playing catch with our threeawesome dogs, Katie,Riley, and Tilly. Im also Uncle Johnny to five nieces and nephews. My family is very important to me andI love spending time with them. I'm a huge water bug and love beingon the lake, hiking, or just hanging out.

I love being a dentist. I love having the opportunity to work with patients of all ages. One of my favorite things about my job is having the chance to see an anxious patient begin to relax as I explain the step-by-step process of what we will be doing and hearing how great of an experience they had when we are done. Nothing is more exciting than striving to perform dentistry in the most comfortable atmosphere possible and seeing lives change on a daily basis.

I also love connecting with new people and building lasting relationships. It is an honor to talk with patients about their oral health and explain how and why dental disease affects both their oral and overall health. Many patients come in with problems they have never had addressed. Being able to diagnose and treat these issues to improve quality of life is one of the most rewarding things I have had the opportunity to do.

I am here to serve the people of Waco, TX. I promise to work tirelessly to get people out of pain and improve on their beautiful smiles. The smile is such an integral part of how we see ourselves. Being able to drastically change one smile can truly change a persons life.

I have remained dedicated to continuing education and being a life long learner. I have far surpassed the educational hours required by the state so that I can better serve my patients and continue to grow my skillset. I have spent time studying advanced techniques in oral surgery, implant placement and restoration, oral pathology, and endodontics.

My wife, Kristen, and I had our first child, Adelyn, in July 2018 and we believe there is no better place to raise our family than Waco, TX. We are also the proud owners of a Golden Retriever, Baylor, and enjoy taking her on walks through downtown. We are passionate fans of any Baylor sports team and frequently attend football and basketball games- Sic Em Bears! We also love trying new restaurants around town and never miss the opportunity to try something new. My other hobbies include any electronics and working with my hands.

Being a dentist brings me joy, as I truly love working to treat the needs of people in the community that I live in. Restoring smiles and building confidence in people both young and old is something I am very passionate about. I strive to do my best to put my patients at ease and make the dental experience as care-free possible. My goal is to use the knowledge and skills I have obtained to increase the oral health of each patient that I see. I enjoy discussing with each patient proven strategies that will improve the health of their individual smile, as well as a plan that will give them the aesthetic outcome they desire for a price they can afford. Being fluent in Spanish, has also given me the opportunity to connect with many patients in Killeen & Harker Heights who may not be comfortable with English as their first language.

I remain abreast of current technology and techniques that are constantly evolving in the dental world through a variety of continuing education programs. I take my education seriously and consider myself a life-long learner. Acquiring new skills and a deeper understanding of specialized areas of dentistry allows me to provide leading edge care to my patients in our office everyday.

I was born in Arizona and spent most of my youth in the Southwestern United States. My family and I love Central Texas and feel very much at home here. My wife Meghan and I have two children and a dog, Bella. We enjoy going to sporting events and spending time exploring the great outdoors.
