Here at Fun Smiles, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health. It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentists office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.
Our dentists and staff have received extra training for primary teeth. Our goal is to protect your childrens teeth so they can eat and speak correctly. We will do whatever we can to help your children have the bright smiles they deserve.
Dr. Sheila Brijade, better known for her patients as Dr. B., graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Human Nutrition, A Doctor of Dental Surgery and a certificate from their GPR program, she was awarded the Bausch Memorial Scholarship Award for outstanding patient communication, humanistic, and professional behaviors. Dr. Sheila provided care at Nationwide Childrens Medical Center and was an assistant professor at the Nisonger Dental Clinic treating children and adult special needs patients prior to pursuing specialty training. She then went north to the University of Toledo. There she completed her advance education in Pediatric Dentistry with a MS in Oral Biology and subsequent obtainment of board Certificacion. She has provided dental care to pediatric patients at various hospitals and community health centers as well as in private practice.
Dr. Sheila is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She is a diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, the Rhode Island Dental Association.

The staff here is so friendly & helpful. The doctors do amazing work & in a timely manner too. Dr.Brijade has wonderful bedside manners & makes the experience much better than it sometimes can be. Thanks for taking such great care of my children's teeth.

Take you child somewhere else. They have issues with letting the parent in the exam room with their child. Also, in an exam for one of my children they completely missed a tooth that had a big whole. Very hard to miss and they managed to miss it resulting in my child suffering from it later.

On multiple occasions they've gave me the little card that has a scheduled appointment date on it and send a text reminder. Yet when we call to confirm or show up they say that the appointment was never on their books. They screw up and then your child has to suffer. Then they tell you the next available appointment is 7 months away. BUT you can call in to our office EVERY DAY to see if there's a cancellation. I'm sure that appointment will also disappear from their calendar. This is a terrible option for children. If there was another option under your insurance choose that.

Honestly, I'm glad this place exist being that their previous dentist had no idea how to treat children! I'm always anxious about taking them to the dentist (3 kids ages 10, 9 and 7) my kids on the other hand get excited when their appointment is coming! Kids been going here for at least 3 years (maybe 4) Staff is amazing at what they do and they always have treated the kids with much respect and I appreciate that so so much! Thank you, and keep up the great work:)

I give this place one star!! My father passed away so I rescheduled they couldn't find an appointment that was in my convenience. So I took what the gave told them I'll take that for now. Since they couldn't find anything else and he also told me I'll call if I have an cancel appointment we will give you something that works for two weeks Waited no call. So I called saying I can't make that appointment since you scheduled on a school day @ 11:30 we couldn't leave work and take her out it was a major inconvenience. What they do try and tell me it's good for them and we should do what we can to make it work. Last time I checked, appointments are made for what's good for the patient and the parents not what's good for the dentist or their workers. dental hygienist who I spoke with was very rude and unprofessional also the front desk manager. From my second child we had to reschedule so she the manager was being spiteful because I had to cancel that appointment because of my dad dying!! that they didn't want to reschedule for my first child at 11:30 and said well now I can't give you an appointment till January especially if you want both of them to be seen back to back since you kept canceling. Well the dentist and doctors I ever been to in my 33 years of living never sat there and talk to us like that because we canceled an appointment spoke to us like that just because we couldn't make an appointment like that appointment was putting them in a inconvenience but in reality it was the inconvenience for me and they had no care in the world that my father passed away and that's the reason why I reschedule. She also told me why am I making a big deal about not having her 6 month cleaning till June - august when she was over due for one and couldn't get one because they don't know how to do time management. Two dental hygienists quit on them and now I see why. They have no care in the world for your needs just want to take advantage of the insurance. If workers are quiting on them its for a reason !!

Hygienic okay ..front desk only Alejandro it's gentle nice and patient..the assistant it's fine doctors okay But the worst of than its the wait list..my daughter has autism not everyday is the same so we had to cancel her appointment and to reschedule its 8 Months to get one appointment..what???? Nah. Thast too much..8 Months seriously ???

Highly recommended! As a first time mom, they made sure both me and my daughter felt comfortable and walked through everything with me! Reassured me that they wasn't hurting her! They made her comfortable and soothed her when she was upset!

Worse front desk ever, and unprofessional. It seems that all the bad reviews are coming from the front desk being unprofessional. Why are they not resolving this matter? After dealing with Alejandro and another female receptionist I asked for theirs manager, Alejandro claimed he was the manager then I asked for his superior which he said it was Natalia Ramos which she never called me back to follow up with this situation after I left. Everybody else seems to be very nice and my daughter is getting familiar with the place, her tech and dentist (both nice) but why we have to go through a rude (nightmare) front desk?

They are not good with children! Lol go figure they are a PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY... extremely rude doctor and very aggressive with my 6 year old daughter. She's never been afraid of doctors/dentists however she felt their terrible, scary energy here! The front desk staff is very nice and it's out of their control. Can't get appointment for months and put you on a cancellation list which I've never been awarded any earlier time through! Just terrible would never go back and when I voiced my concerns they asked me to simply just go somewhere else. My second to last time there dr brijade was very rude and was annoyed my daughter was so scared. I voiced these concerns the next time we had appointment (our last time there) to the front desk and was confronted by the doctor after my daughters treatment the , she told me it wasn't true and to go somewhere else. Never had a problem anywhere else with dentists than here! Relieved I never have to bring my daughter here ever again. Dr brijade is awful!!!

The dentist was not understanding and compassionate . I refused to have my child tooth get Xray before her 3 months filling visit. She said "you need to go somewhere else! I can't do my job with out xray. So I will not be returning to this office.

Like most children, my daughter is terrified of the dentist. She had 3 extractions today and Dr. Brijade was so nice and so patient. The assistant helped my daughter feel comfortable and got her to relax. Overall, this is a great office. From the front desk to the clinical team they do an excellent job at making each patient feel special and leave with a smile.

Alejandro is absolutely amazing behind the desk. He always follows through and he can be counted on. The technician I did not get her name is unbelievable with the kids. It was my 3 year oldest first time. She made him feel welcome and not scared. Dr Sheila will give you her honest opinion and not do any unnecessary procedures that will cost you money.
