Dr. Funke was born in Elko, Nevada and was raised in Carson City where he graduated from Carson High School with Academic Honors. After High School, he completed his Freshman year of college at The University of Nevada at Reno. Then Dr. Funke transferred to The College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. From there he attended Creighton Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

What a great dentist, the best in Carson City! Their staff is super friendly, nice and professional. Tammy is so helpful, kind and accommodating. Karen is a great assistant and knows her stuff. Dr. Funke is an expert at what he does and careful to explain his observations and each step he takes. Thank You - I love this place! Highly recommended.

Excellent dentist/dental office. He even came in with an assistant on the July 4th holiday weekend when I was having terrible tooth pain. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and an overall wonderful dentist. Highly recommend.

Had a dental emergency on a Sunday night. Requested an appointment. They called and got me in Monday afternoon! Very nice staff and the Dr. Was the nicest I've ever met! Set up a treatment plan, even without insurance! I am so thankful that this place called me back first! Can't wait to start treatment on Wednesday!!

I've been seeing Dr. Funke for years. I often moved when I was younger due to my parents work, and experienced some good and bad dentists. Dr. Funke does excellent work and his hygienists are always thorough without causing me pain. I would highly recommend this business.
