Pediatric Dentistry is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the oral health and unique needs of young people. The very young, pre-teens and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development and helping them avoid future dental problems. The pediatric dentist, who completes two to three additional years of rigorous training in addition to a four-year dental school curriculum, is best qualified to meet these needs.
Like pediatricians, our pediatric dentists specialize and limit their practice to children. Because of this, we are able to keep current on the latest diagnostic and treatment procedures for young people. We are experienced at communication, behavior modification and other techniques used to promote a positive attitude toward proper the establishment of trust and confidence that will last a lifetime. Just as the pediatrician monitors development from infancy, our pediatric dentists will evaluate your childs dental condition regularly to provide the highest level of prevention and treatment.
Children have completely different emotional and physical needs. Our pediatric dental practice and personnel can cater specifically to the emotional and physical state your child is in. Every single aspect of our pediatric dental office, from our special office design, dental chairs and instruments to our communication style, has been carefully implemented to ensure a pleasant experience for your child and family.
Establishing a pediatric dentist as their primary oral health care provider can also provide an opportunity to implement preventive dental health habits that keep a child free from dental or oral disease. The ideal time to gain knowledge and to have your questions answered is before your child has a dental problem.
At Fullerton Pediatric Dentistry, we are concerned about your childs total health care. Good oral health is an important part of total health.
