Dr. Smiths quality standards include the highest levels of clinical excellence. She is very caring and comforting and treats everyone like family. She honestly cares for each persons well-being, and serves as a role model for how to be giving and caring to all.
If you ask her when her passion for dentistry began, shell say it was when she was 9 years old. Her first dental degree was awarded in the Dominican Republic. After moving to the U.S., she completed her doctorate at the University of Buffalo in 1996, and her residency at The Genesee Hospital in Rochester soon after. She has been practicing in the Rochester area ever since, and serving patients in her current office since 2000.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society, and an active member of the Monroe County Dental Society. She is also a member of the Hispanic Business Associationand is completely fluent in both English and Spanish languages.
Dr. Hernandez was born and raised in Rochester, NY and was introduced to dentistry by his mentor, Dr. Sarah J. Smith. He is extremely grateful to her for providing the motivation and guidance to pursue a career in dentistry.
After completing two years of study at Monroe Community College, Dr. Hernandez moved to Buffalo, NY where he received a Bachelor of Biology degree fromSUNY Buffalo in 2013. He then worked for two years as a mechanic and musician until his admission to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2015. Upon graduation, Dr. Hernandez completed his General Practice Residency at Rochester General Hospital in his hometownof Rochester.
In his free time, Dr. Hernandez enjoys playing the keyboard in a salsa orchestra and spending time with friends and family. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and is very excited to be part of the Full Heart Dentistry team.
Michelle has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Monroe Community College, then later her Bachelors of Science Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from SUNY Brockport.
Michelle lives in Irondequoit with her husband, two children, and their dog, Ripley. Her free time is devoted to friends and family, as well as reading and writing. She has taught Sunday School, lead a Girl Scout Troop, and loves working with children. She is excited to introduce you and your family to Full Heart Dentistry as your new dental home.
Paula began her career in the dental field in 1994 as an assistant and soon found that the administration aspect of dentistry was her passion. Paula loves what she does and cannot imagine doing something else.
Paula lives in Spencerport with her fianc and two cats, Coco and Riley. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family and is a die-hard Buffalo Bills Football and Syracuse Basketball fan.
Victoria has been in the dental field since 2013 and joined the Full Heart team in 2017. Passionate about patient care, her favorite part of the job is having the opportunity to help people every day and building relationships with patients. Outside of work, Victoria enjoys the outdoors, live music, making jewelry, and spending time with family and friends.
In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music from the 60s and 70s and playing bunco with friends. Edna also loves spending time with her family, including her husband, children, and loving grandson.

Amazing office. Dr. Hernandez is very knowledgeable and Carla goes above and beyond to educate and accommodate. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. So glad I found this place!

Just had my first dental appointment in 3 years. The team at Full Heart made me feel so calm and well taken care of. I felt listened to and they were very understanding of all my concerns. I'm so happy to recieve high quality dental care after going so long without. I don't have insurance buy they are very understanding and compassionate, they have lots of options for people who don't have insurance. And especially as someone with anxiety, they were sensitive to my needs and went out of their way to make me comfortable. I was recommended this office by my massage therapist at Hive and I can really understand why. Thank you Ful Heart, you guys rock! Lol

The whole staff is friendly and very caring to keep you comfortable. Dr Smith, assistant and the hygienists always explain procedures and answer questions thoroughly. I now live further from the their office but its worth the longer drive after years of trusted service.

I was experiencing immense pain with my wisdom tooth and decided to call them. They were able to squeeze me in same day which I was not expecting but so happy they could. First step in that door and I was welcomed by such a sweet and calming receptionist, Paula. She was sweet and so so helpful. Then, I was taken in with little to no wait by the dental assistant who was also just so helpful and explanatory with every action he took. Then I was treated by Dr. Hernandez who made the scary situation of getting a tooth pulled not scary at all. He answered all of my questions in a kind and detailed manner. He ensured I was comfortable at all times and ensured to inform me of every action he was taking and what I would expect to feel. Him and Edna pulled my tooth out fast, with no pain and made the situation the best it could be. Very thankful to this team

The staff at Full Heart is amazing. They are friendly, flexible and explain everything so that my 6 year old isn't worried about going to the dentist. The office space is modern and cozy. Highly recommend!
