Dr. Rick Fuchs is the son of Dr. Michael Fuchs. He was born and raised in Huron, South Dakota, graduating from Huron High School in 1999. Dr. Rick attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska for his pre-dental education and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska in 2006. He completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Minnesota in 2008 and joined Fuchs Orthodontics at that time.

Dr. Rick has served as President of the Southern District of the South Dakota Dental Association and President of the South Dakota Society of Orthodontists. He has been President of the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation and is currently a member of the South Dakota Dental Association Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the South Dakota Dental Association.

i got my braces here and they did not give me permanent retainers making my teeth move back to the original position and then blamed for not wearing my retainers when i was wearing them the whole time.

Very nice facility with super welcoming staff. Dr. Fuchs offered options and was willing to work with me on a slight adjustment of a couple teeth that have moved out of line. I was pleased I didn't have to spend a fortune correcting this, and happy that he was willing to take me in as a patient since my previous orthodontist is no longer in practice. My initials braces were put on by his father, which is cool in itself.
