Dr. Mike Harper attended dental school at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a 12-month residency in Advanced General Dentistry before spending seven years providing dental care to soldiers of the Armed Services while serving in the military.
Dr. Alyssa Hennessy is a Maine native and knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Mike Harper was raised in the military and enjoyed living in Colorado, Idaho, Alaska, Texas, and Germany while growing up. Dentistry runs in his family as both his father and uncle are dentists, passing on their love for the profession.
Dr. Harper completed college studies at Brigham Young University in Idaho and graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, he completed a 12-month residency in Advanced General Dentistry, which provided him with excellent training in cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, crown and bridge work, and an in-depth comprehensive understanding of the profession. Dr. Harper spent seven years providing dental care to soldiers of the Armed Services and was awarded a Bronze Star while deployed in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Dr. Harper, his wife, Michiye, and their four children (Naomi, twins Rhett & Bennett, and Nolan) enjoy the outdoors, music, snowboarding/skiing, fishing, sports and spending time with the family. He looks forward to working with you and your family to provide outstanding dental care for years to come.
Dr. Alyssa Hennessy grew up in Eliot, Maine and now resides in Parsonsfield, Maine with her husband, Trevor, and fur kids, Jazzy and Stella. Knowing from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare, Dr. Hennessy started that journey at the University of New England, eventually graduating from UNEs College of Dental Medicine. She joined Dr. Harper and the team at Fryeburg Dental Center in March 2019.
When not working on teeth, Dr. Hennessy enjoys being with friends and family, nature, gardening, and animals. Shes a dancer and singer at heart; you are sure to know this if you sit long enough in her treatment chair!

Best dentist in this area, competent, professional, and put patients at ease. They have fair prices if you are uninsured, and work with insurance if you are insured. Very modern clinic, with all the top dental equipment. I recently had to go in for some minor fillings and the Dr. Harper was fast, efficient, and did a great job. Highly recommended!

I have found Fryeburg Dental Center to be the most professional and well-run office I have ever experienced. In addition, it is the most cheerful space (especially all decorated for the holidays). The staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. What's not to love?!

Family owned and operated practice with kind, friendly and professional staff. From a warm greeting, to comprehensive care with state of the art equipment, and a cordial "thankyou and take care" as you exit, husband and wife dentists have created a uniquely welcoming, highly comptetent team. I am confident I will receive all the dental care my wife and I need, will pay for only work required, and the quailty will always be best in class. Highly recommended for all ages, all dental needs

Absolutely fantastic service, staff and more. I've never been disappointed here for myself, my wife or my three children. Dr. Harper is absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and professional. The atmosphere is always welcoming from the waiting room to the treatment areas.

Great atmosphere and people. I've been to alot of different dentist offices over my lifetime but this office makes you feel right at home the minute you walk in the door. I've found my forever dentist office.

Horrible people, horrible experience will never give them our business or suggest it to anyone. They double dipped. They took payment from us over 500 dollars that they demanded before doing my poor wife's tooth, she was in so much pain we are both on ssdi so we paid them with our savings, and we told them a couple weeks later that we had insurance and they could bill them and refund our money. Well a few weeks go by no word from anyone. We decided to call my wife's insurance company and they tell us not only did they already get paid by them. But they billed for more than they charged us. So my wife called them asking about our money and they tell us we have to wait a week for a check. Oh and btw they tell us. They don't want us as clients ever again because we're Medicaid recipients. They are dishonest, and slimy. Never again

If it wasn't for Dr. Harper and his assistant, i would still be dealing with tooth pain. They did an amazing job with my wisdom tooth removal and i'm actually able to sleep at night without having to deal with tooth pain. If anyone is getting wisdom teeth removed, i highly recommend Dr. Harper and the rest of the team.

Excellent experience. I hate having dental procedures done. I have had a lot over the years as I suffer from some genetic issues that negatively affect my teeth. Having said that, I have only positive that to say about Fryburg Dental. The moment you walk in, you are greeted and made to feel welcome. People know your name and strive to put you at ease. The admin team is knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. I originally went here to get all my bottom teeth pulled and have a full set of dentures put in. I was amazed that I was able to save most of my teeth and only need a partial. We went over my reasoning for dentures and the x-rays and made a reasonable treatment plan The dental assistants are very intuitive, in that they always seem to know just when you need a rinse and some suction, so you don't gag on your saliva. They also keep up a relevant and interesting conversation with you and the Dr. To help keep your mind off the procedure. The dentists are both beyond amazing. This is the first time I have ever had a root canal and can say it went quickly and was painless. There were a few things the Dr. did that were not familiar to me and was I ever impressed. He did x-rays twice during the procedure to ensure that the tooth was cleaned out and he explained the process to me. He also started slowly so if I did feel in pain we would catch it before he was drilling. He checked in on my pain and how I was doing several times. Lastly, like many others, money is tight and I can say they are cheaper than my local nonprofit community dental center. They also tell you prices up front and explain everything in terms that every person can understand. I cannot say enough positive things about this office, there staff and their procedures.
