Dr. Christensen grew up in a small farming community. From a young age, he knew he would be a dentist. His mother gave him the idea during one of his several trips to the dentist as a child. He never felt fearful of his childhood dentist and wanted to replicate those same experiences for others.
While attending BYU in Provo, Utah, Dr. Christensen married his lovely and amazing wife, Denise. They have four adorable girls. As a family, they love spending time together and making each other laugh. Part of his concern for younger patients is due to his concern for his own children. He never wants a child to experience dental pain (or anyone, for that matter). He is always happy to see a child in the office and answer any questions a concerned parent may have.
He attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI until May 2014. Since that time he worked in private practice in the same small, rural area of Washington state he grew up in until March 2017. He and his wife Denise decided to move to the Grand Junction area to be closer to her family.
Dr. Christensen is excited to practice in Fruita. He loves small towns for the slower pace of life they afford. He continues education to provide small-town patients the same quality of care that can be found in big cities. Dr. Christensens passion is, you guessed it, teeth, bone, gums, and the entire oral cavity! Learning more about dentistry is what thrills and motivates him. Its an exciting field and he hopes that you too can be excited about it!

I never thought that I would like going to the dentist, but that has changed since I started going to Fruita Family Dental. The total staff is friendly and so accommodating. Dr. Christiansen is the best. It's like they are your family!! Love this practice!!!!

BEST DENTIST OFFICE ANYWHERE ! Great staff, my Dental hygienist is so much fun, they are all a great group of people. Dr. Christiansen is Great! Has a very good bedside manor, he can give you a shot and you hardly feel it at all. I'm a big scaredy-cat when it comes to needles, but like I said I hardly felt anything! The office is very inviting and is nicely decorated, a very cheerful atmosphere. Thanks you very much !!!

This is the best office, they make you feel like family! I had an emergency tooth ache, and they got right in and they took care of me. I would definitely recommend this office, everyone is so nice!

We were new to the area and didn't know what dentist to start with. We ended up selecting Fruita Family Dental from the internet. We are very happy with the services and the people at the office. This is a very friendly and caring place to have any of your dental needs. They even follow up with you after the appointment to make sure everything is going well. I would recommend this office to anyone young and old.

Fruita family dental is one of the most professional dental offices I have ever used. All the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and always making sure you are comfortable. Doctor Christenson has to be the best Dentist I have ever had work om me. Not happy with your current Dentist, go to fruita family dental..You will not be disappointed.

Annette has cleaned my teeth for years. Her chair side manner is positive and she is outgoing. My family sees her twice per year as well. Dr. Christensen is very capable, confident and knowledgable. I will be returning to his office for as long as I am able.

Needed a tooth extraction badly and so glad I found this group. The team was so kind, thoughtful, and skilled through the whole process and really made me feel comfortable.
