Dr. Farrell Frug is a native and resident of Baton Rouge. A 1978 graduate of Catholic High School, he received his BS from Louisiana State University and his DDS degree from Louisiana State University of Dentistry in 1986. Since then, he has been in private practice in Baton Rouge.
Dr. Frug is CEO of Frug Family Dentistry. Dr. Frug is a member of the American Dental Association,Louisiana Dental Association, Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Frug has been featured for his expertise in dentistry in Town Favorites magazine. Dr. Frug also serves on the board of the Continuing Dental Education of Baton Rouge. His commitment to you is to stay abreast of the latest techniques in dentistry today through extensive continuing education and to invest in technology which makes the diagnosis and delivery of dentistry more thorough, more comfortable, and more esthetically pleasing.
Dr. Frug stays involved with his community through various programs. He participates in a clinic that provides free dentistry to the working poor of Baton Rouge. Our office supports the Baton Rouge Food Bank with a coordinated food drive each year. Our office also joins the fight against cancer by supporting Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center during the year.
His book is titled, Making You Smile: The Impact Of Oral Health On Your Quality Of Life. In his book Dr. Frug shares how his practice focuses on building relationships with his patients by setting his practice apart by creating a patient centric approach to dental care. In addition he teaches how important good oral health is to your quality of life.
After years of observing and learning from his father, Dr. Trey is excited to provide the same level of care enjoyed for many years by the patients of Fruge' Family Dentistry. A 2013 graduate of Catholic High School, Dr. Trey completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at LSU and received his D.D.S. from LSU School of Dentistry in 2021. Upon graduation from LSUSD, Dr. Trey was selected as the 2021 recipient of the American Academy of Osseointegration Implant Dentistry Award. Dr. Trey holds memberships in the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Trey is proud to participate in the same community outreach programs as his father and enjoys donating his time and skill to those in need. In his free time, Dr. Trey can be seen playing guitar in the Baton Rouge/ New Orleans area with one of the several bands he performs in. In addition to music, Dr. Trey enjoys hiking, traveling, hunting, fishing, and LSU sports.
Karen has been a part of Dr. Farrell Fruge's team as a part time dental hygienist since 1987. With her attention to detail, she takes pride in treating her patients with the best care possible. She graduated from dental hygiene school at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1987.
Kelsey has been a part of Dr. Farrell Fruge's team since September 2017. She graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2015 with Magna Cum Laude honors. Kelsey was also awarded the Clinical Excellence Award.
Brittany has been a part of Dr. Fruge's team since May of 2018. Brittany received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Brittany received the Golden Scaler Award.
Ashley joined our team in June 2021. She graduated from Pensacola State College in 2016 in Dental Hygiene. Her favorite part of being hygienist is being able to ease any dental fears her patients may have.
Brandy has been a part of Dr. Farrell Fruge's team since 2006. She received her Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Certification in 2007. Brandy is also x-ray certified and CPR certified. She has an outgoing personality which allows her to treat her patients with understanding and compassion.
Janice has been a part of Dr. Farrell Fruge's team since 2002. With her position, she has a wide variety of customer service duties. She welcomes patients with a big smile and is always eager to help them with their needs.

Dr. Fruge and his team are excellent dental professionals, I live out of state and still refuse to find another dentist because I know they will not be as capable and kind as this team. Front desk staff are so kind right upon entry and I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Every dental hygienist is personable and does an outstanding job at educating me on spots I may be missing as well as what preventive care is on my treatment plan. Dr. Fruge genuinely cares about his patients and it is obvious in the way he and his son practice. People say I'm crazy for consistently going back to Baton Rouge for dental care but they don't know how phenomenal my dentist is! If you're searching for a new provider- look no further, they are not just the best in town, they are the best, period! Thank you for the years of care!

Fruge family dentistry has an excellent, understanding, professional, and friendly team from top to bottom. I always feel welcomed, and there's a family feel to it every visit. The 30-35 minute drive passing multiple dentist offices to go to Fruge is worth it. I have been going to them for over 20 years and would 100% recommend and refer anyone to them.

I wanna thank the staff at Fruge Family Dentistry. I called just this week to get a appointment for my annual teeth checkup. Mrs. Janice ask me was I looking for some soon I told her yes, she immediately worked with me to get my in on today. Upon arriving I was greeted with nothing but smiles that meant a lot to me. Brittany my hygienist was gentle and explained everything she was doing. I then came in contact with Dr. Trey very sweet young man. Jesscia helped with my treatment plan. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice and beyond. I even got a rose I was teary eyed the small things mean a lot. The front staff is very courteous!! The staff are always so nice and friendly! Hardly no wait time for scheduled appointments. Hygienist does a good detailed cleaning and doc is great to. Been a patient past three years and have been very satisfied!!

I love Dr. Fruge's practice! The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I have always been seen on time, and the receptionists are super awesome especially when it comes to scheduling and rescheduling appointments when life gets in the way.
