Your smile is an important part of your appearance. And though the size, shape, and color of the teeth are most frequently associated with oral cosmetics, the gums play an essential role too. When gingival tissues begin to recess, your teeth may look oversized and uneven. Soft tissue grafting is often used to restore the gum line using a bio-compatible grafting material that is attached to the gums to protect the tooth surface. The resulting augmentation produces restored dental symmetry and eliminates a toothy smile.
that gum recession can be more than just a cosmetic problem? The enamel below the gum line is more prone to decay and tooth sensitivity when exposed. A receding gum line can put your long-term dental health at risk potentially causing cavities, bone loss, additional gum recession, and even tooth loss.
Generally, soft tissue grafting is recommended once the gingival tissue has reached the mucosa. However, you may be a candidate for soft tissue grafting if you have noticeable gum line recession that is a source of embarrassment, is a risk to your oral health.
If you decide to undergo soft tissue grafting, your procedure will take place in your oral health providers office. The grafting site will be numbed, and the existing gum tissue will be loosened to make room for the graft. The grafting material is sutured in place, and you will return home the same day as your procedure.
It is normal to experience some soreness and swelling at the grafting site after your procedure. However, this will subside after a few days as your tissue graft continues to heal. Be sure to follow your post-procedural guidelines exactly as ordered by your oral surgeon, and take any prescriptions as instructed. Sutures usually dissolve or will be removed within a few days, and you should notice a significant improvement in the appearance of your gums within a few weeks. Keep in mind, however, that soft tissue grafts take several months to completely heal.
Dr. Lon Hinckley completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2012 with a degree in Biology, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. He then completed his dental training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, graduating with highest distinction. He was awarded with the AAOMS Dental Student Award.
Dr. Hinckley provides a full scope of oral and maxillofacial services including wisdom teeth removal, dental extractions, advanced bone grafting, dental implants, facial trauma repair, treatment of the temporomandibular joint, and tumor and cyst removal. He is licensed to perform IV sedation and general anesthesia for children and adults. He maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

I just got my wisdom teeth out a few days ago and so far so good. The surgery went fast and smooth, i stayed asleep the whole time thankfully! Everyone is very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had, even a few days after surgery with some follow up questions I had.

I have had some bad experiences with dentists growing up resulting in severe anxiety relating to dentist offices. I was referred to Dr. Hinckley for wisdom teeth removal. After my initial visit and surgery I can confidently say I now no longer am terrified of dentists. The staff was exceptional so polite, non judgemental and made me feel so comfortable. It is so rare and far between that you find a doctor that genuinely cares for his patients. He even called afterwards to check up on how I was and if I had any concerns or questions. Anyone who needs their wisdom teeth removed Dr. Hinckley at Front Range is THE place to go!

Dr. Hinkley and all of his staff were AMAZING! I went in for wisdom teeth removal via iv sedation , and I was so nervous going in, but they all made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I really do recommend them if your looking to get your wisdom teeth out ! Didn't feel a thing ! I was knocked out in no time and woke up like nothing ! Check this place out ! I'm glad they referred me to this place for my wisdom teeth , it was a nice experience to experience Thank you so much for everything !

I've taken my son there twice once for his wisdom teeth and then about a year later he needed to get 4 more take out to make room for his braces. Both times went very smoothly and the staff was very courteous and friendly. Not only that but they were awesome. I highly recommend front range oral surgery for any oral procedures you might have.

the doctor and nurse were GANGSTER!! They helped me feel as comfortable as anyone can feel, they let me know how easily they would handle the things I was most worried about. They were very nice and I couldn't have asked for a better place to pull my wisdom teeth

This has and over all has been the best experience for me. Dr. Hanks was the one who performed my wisdom tooth surgery and abstacted all four. Everything went smoothly upon the time of arrival till the time of departure. Dr. Hanks also keep me informed and also provide important and helpful information for me. This place has my biggest recommendation and he's whole team is going a magnificent job. Stay happy you guys

It was OK, was not given any pre operation instructions and had difficulty getting ahold of them. The day of receptionist, receptionist was rather rude and made it seem we were a hassel. Surgeon and his assistant did great though.

I cannot tell you how amazing this place is! 5 stars is definitely not enough. Their team is so caring and patient..no matter your age. I brought my super scared 18yr old in to have all 4 done at once and WOW was I surprised at how sweet everyone was. With their calming conversation my bitty was ready to go in no time..and that Doc!! Lemme tell ya..he's the best! My baby needed extra care after her surgery and he was right there by her side and even called after hours just to check on her! I absolutely love them all here! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for their chompers worked on

Dr. Hinkley and his staff are outstanding!! I was quite nervous about having an upper back molar removed. I was also embarrassed about the state of my mouth and how messed up my teeth are. First Dr. Hinkley assured me that my mouth couldn't be as bad as I thought. Then he helped calm me down before we got started. The tooth didn't want to come out, so it required extra force and manipulation. Dr. Hinkley kept apologizing and asking if I was OK. He was great about checking with me to see if I had any pain or nervousness. He explained everything he was doing as a way of keeping me informed and calm. The procedure was crazy fast even with the stubborn tooth! I would recommend his office for any oral procedure you need to have done. By far the best dental experience I've had!!

I recently had all four of my wisdom teeth removed thanks to the people at Front Range Oral Surgery/Just Wisdom Teeth in Dacono. I found my experience with the kind people here to be quite amazing overall. I have nothing but good things to say about them. The doctor who completed the surgery even called me the night after the surgery to make sure everything was going well. Such lovely people!
