Dr. Prasad graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine with a residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. In addition, she received a Master of Medical Sciences Degree in Oral Biology from the Faculty of Medicine at Harvard University .
Dr Prasad is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. This board is the oldest specialty board in dentistry and is the only certifying board recognized by the Council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association for the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
As an orthodontist, Dr. Prasad feels that it is extremely important to remain in the forefront of technological advancements in the orthodontic specialty. Consequently she is always staying current with the new research about dental and Orthodontic treatments. Dr Prasad also ensures that her staff is constantly learning by educating them and encouraging them to expand their horizons.

Carmen has been with Dr Prasad since 2007. She moved from Tomball, TX and now lives in Frisco with her husband and two kids since 2004.Her children attend Wakeland High School and Griffin Middle School. Carmen enjoys volunteering for the WHS band as well as cheering on her youngest son at his hockey games. Carmen has over 15 years experience working as an Administrative Assistant in different fields ranging from Medical, Petroleum/oil, Food Service and Family Law. Carmen enjoys meeting kids and their wonderful parents and she looks forward to welcoming all new and existing patients to our office.

If you are looking for orthodontics in Frisco, don't need to look elsewhere. Dr. Neelu Prasad is highly skilled and great with kids.When my son who had an oral surgery in the past needed braces, there were minor concerns. I had been to few orthodontics places in Frisco and they all suggested expensive procedures, and finally we took an opinion from Dr. Prasad. She diagnosed and suggested to wait until remaining tooth emerge and retrospectively that was the right recommendation. Dr.Prasad also did braces for our son later on and we had it off this week. It was an amazing experience over the last few years and her staff is also very sweet and accommodative. I would strongly recommend this place for quality service and care.

My child was in Pearson and Reedy. Loved the fact that he can walk to Frisco Family Ortho after school for his appointment. Dr Prasad also did a wonderful job with my son's ortho treatment. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend her.

Dr. Prasad has completed braces for my husband and 3 children, she is amazing! She takes the time to explain things she gets to know the kids and family as a whole. She goes out of her way to make sure that all of your questions are answered. All of the staff and her office are wonderful, you couldn't ask for better bedside manner service and care!

I got braces here several years ago. Dr. Prasad is excellent. The dentists I see compliment her work on the spacing between my teeth since I have a small mouth. She has also had the same good staff for many years.

Just completed my Son's treatment with Dr Prasad. Due to Covid the treatment plan took a bit longer than usual, but that was what i liked about her, she did not cut any corners to get done with my son's treatment. She is very thorough, pleasant and competitive on pricing as well.

Frisco Family Orthodontics is fantastic. Dr. Prasad has a warm intelligence and calm demeanor that really helped our boys get comfortable with the process of getting braces. Carmen is a master of organization and flexibility and always such a huge help with scheduling and any questions along the way. Highly recommended!

Doctor and the staff are not that great as they used to be. My son got his treatment twice with the doctor. First treatment when he was 11-13 years old and second treatment when he was 16-18. First treatment experience was fantastic when the facility was on Legacy Drive. Both Doctor and staff were very Patient oriented. Second treatment was at the new facility on timber ridge and we noticed a marked difference in attitude of both doctor and also the staff. Staff were not accommodative at all for any change of appointment. My son was a graduating senior and his awards ceremony was scheduled on the same day/time as was his appointment with the doctor. We called in to see if we can schedule it for a later time that day or any other day with in that week, Carmen who works at front desk essentially told us either it's now or a month later. So, our son had to miss his award ceremony for the appointment. There were times when my son had to go in again after the appointment to get the braces adjusted because the dental assistant that has adjusted in the first place didn't do it well. Such follow-up visits could have been avoided if the doctor checks to see if the assistant did it properly or not. But, doctor doesn't check it and off you go only to find out next day that it is painful and you have to go in again to get it adjusted. Due to Covid protocols, parents are not allowed inside the facility, which is understandable. However, in the last one year since covid started, not even once Doctor called us to give updates on his treatment. A courtesy call after each visit could have been great. I am giving 3 stars even after the above feedback as we are happy with the end result. The facility could have been a 5 star if not for the above issues.

These guys did my orthodontic treatment and I could not recommend them more. Dr. Prasad is kind and caring and she really builds a relationship with every kid. You're not going to feel like you just go in, get your teeth fixed, and get out. She and everyone else in the practice really care- all the way from the consultation to getting them off and getting your retainers. Send your kid to this place and not anywhere else for their braces!!!!

Just finished my second kids braces, start to finish great experience!! Delayed by a week to get his braces off because Carmen asked if we could move the appointment to accommodate graduating student, thought that was nice of them to do that. Good job dr prasad and team.

My 9 year old kid's lower jaw teeth were misaligned. Doctor Prasad and her team worked well and my kid's teeth are aligned after taking the treatment. Overall the experience was good!

Just finished my adult orthodontic treatment and I am very satisfied. Dr. Prasad is very thorough, professional, kind, humble, and patient. I shopped through 4-5 doctors prior to choosing Dr. Prasad. She's not commercially inclined as a lot of doctors these days. She does not push for unnecessary/aggressive procedures and will recommend the best actions for your dental needs. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Prasad and her staff have looked after 3 of our kids for their orthodontic needs. I have to say that she/they are the very best. She is thorough, supportive, reassuring while providing every necessary information you need. She doesn't just care about her direct patients, but their families and other aspects of their lives.
