An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. Prior to visiting Frisco Crossing, Dr. Yates was my dentist at another dental group. How grateful I was to find out that she was in-network with my insurance. Without hesitation, I updated my dental provider to Dr. Yates. It was comforting to know that she would be my dentist again. SHE'S THE BEST!!! She explains everything and is very transparent with you in her advice for treatment. During my visit, she made sure all my issues were addressed and took her time in doing so. I can't wait for my next visit. In addition, the staff is so welcoming, very friendly, and extremely professional. I highly recommend Dr. Yates and her staff.

This place rocks! From the very beginning. the staff was friendly and helpful. I had to have a root canal which would be my second. My first was a disaster! Dr. Victoria Tountas was amazing. She was thorough and professional and sensitive to any discomfort. If you have to have a root canal, and I hope you don't, go to Frisco Crossing!

POV: it's July 31 and you are overdue for a dental exam because you recently moved to the area from out of state. You find a local dentist through your insurance directory, register through their website as a new patient, and book an appointment online for August 17 at 2pm. You receive a call on August 16th reminding you of your upcoming *new patient* appointment as well as a few text message reminders. You arrange your work and childcare schedule around the 8/17 appointment and drive 20 minutes across town, arriving at 1:55. You are greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk who hands you an iPad to fill out your health history because you're a new patient. She also informs you that there's some back-up today and you may need to wait 10-15 minutes - alright, no big deal. While you are sitting in the empty waiting room, two employees appear to leave for the day. 2:30 comes and goes and you're getting frustrated. A few minutes later the dentist, Dr. Yates, comes out and introduces herself, shakes your hand, and apologizes for the delay - tells you that "a DA called out today" and it would be at the very least, 15 more minutes (so minimum 50 minutes after your original 2pm original appt time). She also tells you that you booked an appointment slot that was *not meant* for new patients. Ok - whatever that means?? You tell her that you registered as a new patient and booked the appt weeks ago - ask why they didn't just call to reschedule to a time that was meant for new patients? Or at the very least, why didn't they call you earlier in the day to shift your appt time knowing how behind they were? She and the front desk woman just look at each other and mumble some sort of non-excuse and offer to reschedule you for a different time. You decline and decide to leave, incredibly frustrated by the complete waste of time. Yes, delays happen and things come up, I totally get it, but why not call me to reschedule or at least give me fair warning that they could not see me at 2pm despite booking the appointment a few weeks earlier? If I had been running late, I certainly would have called them. I have never ever walked out of any appointment and I hardly ever leave reviews, but this negative experience could have been EASILY prevented with a tiny amount of proactive work on their part. I'm adding a star because the office seemed nice and both women I interacted with were very kind, just very inconsiderate of their customers' time. Really disappointed that I now need to find another new dentist.

I have suffered from dental anxiety my whole life, I have always dreaded visiting the dentist. The time finally came and I had to go to find a new dentist after moving to the Frisco area. After reading reviews (a lot of horror stories about a lot of not-so-nice places around here), I am so glad I found this place! Everything about my experience was perfect. The staff is welcoming and personable, Dr. Yates and Dr. Brown are incredibly detail-oriented and took such good care of me and my whole family. My kids are in love with Dr. Brown! I get so nervous when I visit the dentist but they made this whole process such a smooth and relaxing experience. I wish everyone would try them out and fall in love with them like me and my family did!

I have had an extremely hard time with dentists my whole life. It has kept me from going to the dentist for years. Dr. Yates has finally changed that for me. She and her staff were amazing and helped calm my nerves. She was able to fix some problems that have been bothering me for a long time in less than a week. My new crowns look amazing, and they had them ready for me so fast. So happy I went to her, and I'll continue going!

I met Dr.Yates and Justice on an emergency visit on Good Friday when almost all other offices were closed. I'm a DA and put trust into a dentist I was working for to do an RCT on my tooth but ended up perforating my it which had me in a TON of pain. After refusing to help me I took a risk and made an appointment with Dr.Yates, I knew this office was the right one after talking with Justice on the phone they seemed very welcoming!! Today was my second visit after being on antibiotics and it went very smoothly!! Thank you guys for taking care of me I recommend this office 100000%

Excellent dental office! From the second you walk in until you leave, the entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients, and it's clear that it's a priority to them that their patients have a positive experience. Dr. Yates is fantastic and explains things clearly. She makes an effort to get to know her patients and she's very involved, present and approachable. Very pleased with my experience and will most definitely return.

I recently visited Frisco Dental Group and from the moment I walked in was met with smiles and excellent service. From the Office Manager, Justice to Dr. Yates herself. I typically don't like visits to the dentist, but was introduced to nitrous for my procedure which was recommended to ease my anxiety. Dr Yates, was very knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the whole process. I came in for X-rays and routine cleaning and ChanMarie and Chasity were both friendly and efficient in helping me along through the process of my treatment. Overall a 10/10 experience and I will definitely be recommending my family and friends!

Where do I start? Dr Yates and her entire team are amazing. My husband visited this office with tooth discomfort and I should mention he has dental anxiety, states his experience was nothing less than STELLAR. Dr Yates, a very knowledgeable dentist took care of his dental needs, did it efficiently and kept him at ease all the time, she had him out of pain and came up with a treatment plan that took care of his immediate needs and preventative needs too. Chan was the best dental assistant and is very experienced which helped with my hubs' anxiety. Justice at the front desk offered financial options and we never felt like we didn't have a choice. They worked with our schedule and always made themselves available for a quick check in. My husband says he won't go anywhere else, he's completely changed his perspective about dental offices. Thank you!!

Great office!!! Very professional staff. Service is awesome. Came in for an infected tooth and they came up with a plan that works for me and my budget. They even fit me in for a cleaning. Would highly recommend them for your dental needs.
