Dr. Connor Love knew he wanted to be a dentist when he discovered the problem solving nature of the profession. He enjoys the opportunity to positively impact the lives of his patients through the dental work he performs. Youve made me feel comfortable is a compliment he receives a lot from his patients, which he believes is a product of being honest and considerate. Dr. Love enjoys working with the Friendly Smiles team because of the dynamic atmosphere and the opportunity to work with each doctor on the team.

Dr. Zachary Carter, a Tampa native, decided to become a dentist during his junior year of high school. He was spending a lot of time shadowing with his own dentist and fell in love with the amount of patient interaction dentistry provided. Dr. Carter is very passionate about educating patients on the link between oral health and systemic health. He is confident that within the next 10 years people will have a better understanding that when they visit the dentist, it is not just for their teeth, but to improve their overall health.
When he is not at work, Dr. Carter loves to be at the gym. He says it is his time to de-stress and do something physical. He is also a huge sports fan and loves to support all his Tampa teams, as well as his undergrad, the University of Florida.

Let me start by saying I rarely leave any google reviews, but felt the need to today. I have not been the dentist in a few years and have been terrified of going for personal reasons (bad experience with previous dentist office) . I was referred to this office and I am SO GLAD! Every single person I spoke with from the moment I walked in, was so nice and welcoming. Paula was the receptionist I spoke with that welcomed me in. They reassured me, they took their time and went over every single detail of my treatment plan! I need alot of dental work done but Dr. Johnson was the absolute sweetest and you can tell she loves what she does and making sure all her clients are comfortable! I would 100% recommend this Dental office!

Went in for a routine cleaning & "consultation" in April 2021 because the dentist I was going to for 11 years passed away. Dr. Love told me I had 2 cavities & needed a "deep cleaning". I never had a deep cleaning before NOR a cavity as of 43 years old then & 14 months later still never had a cavity. I walked out & had to search for a real honest non chain dentist that was in my insurance network. STAY AWAY!!!! UNETHICAL PRACTICE!!!

The entire staff was awesome and very friendly. The technician and hygienist were thoughtful in explaining everything since I was a new patient. Dr. Love was also great at explaining everything as well. Highly recommend!

Dr Johnson is the worst. I see other reviews about her. You can have her. Terrible experience every time I saw her. I even scheduled to avoid her, but this summer, stuck with her again. Horrible demeanor and always tried to steer me to expensive treatments. I literally walked out. I always enjoyed Dr. Love and Dr. Worth, so don't know what happened to this office. I found a new dentist in St. Pete, and no drama or BS.

I would highly recommend this dentist. My whole family has gone there for approximately 30 years and they have always been professional, excellent, and caring. I trust Dr. Diana Johnson completely and I have had great experiences with the other dentists there. The hygienists have changed a lot over the years, but they always are friendly, thorough, and professional. I especially like the way that the cleaning appointments run remarkably on time. The office staff has always been friendly and I get great service whenever I call. You can see why I haven't changed dentists.

I went for my initial exam and cleaning yesterday and it could not have went better. Xrays were easy and they did not push me to do anything necessary. Gentle hygienist got my teeth clean without hurting me.

Short disclaimer I don't go here because they can't accept my insurance. But I called thirty places trying to find a dentist office to take my son's Medicaid plan. And I talked to some brutally unpleasant people during those calls. So I'm reviewing all of them. But Friendly Smiles was so caring. The lady there answered the phone already laughing and stayed kind and helpful through our whole conversation. If she would spend that much time with me when I couldn't even be a patient then they must be truly great to patients in their care.

I am very impressed with the efficiency, kindness and genuine caring of the staff I have encountered at Friendly Smiles. I began seeing Dr. Johnson after a bad experience at another dentist and she has been wonderful and patient and understanding. I have been given awesome referrals when needed and received great care to date.

I've never posted a review of anything before but my experience at this office deserves notice. I wanted to go to the office on waters avenue. I called and they were very sharp with me. The lady on the phone was so mean. Not just rude or unprofessional she was mean. So I stayed away. But I needed to go to the dentist because of my cancer. I had to get signed off before treatment. I was driving down Gunn and saw the friendly smiles sign again so I walked in to see if this office was kinder. All 3 of the girls at the desk stopped typing to smile at me and say hello. I said I had some questions to ask, and Tina jumped up to answer them. I think I talked to her for an hour! I told her I needed a gentle dentist because I will need extractions before my radiation treatment. She told me all about both her dentists so I could choose who was right for me. She explained what my visit would be like and helped me get approved by care credit because I don't have dental insurance. And the whole time the desk girls were just so sweet to me even though I was interrupting their work they treated me like a delightful visitor instead of a patient. They set the mood for the whole office and it was so warm and pleasant. The dentist kept coming to pull Tina away for the patients who were in the back and when she had to turn away one of the other girls just picked right up where she left off with me until she was back. Now I have an appointment, my paperwork is already done, I know how I will pay for my visits and treatment, and I'm not scared. Send this desk team to waters avenue to teach them how it should be done. I wish I remembered all of their names but only Tina had a business card.
