Dr. Frey graduated with honors from the University of Michigan and from Northwestern University Dental School. He completed a General Practice Residency Program at the University of Colorado Health Science Center before obtaining his Specialty degree in Orthodontics from Childrens National Medical Center in Washington DC.
Dr. Frey is passionate about enhancing the Cosmetic Focus and Clinical Techniques of Orthodontists Worldwide and has lectured both Nationally and Internationally on the topic of Cosmetics in Orthodontics.
Dr. Frey was a contributing author to the TAD Clinical Reference Guide by Dentaurum and the Invisalign Innovation Leadership Panel. He is also the author of 'SAP & VIP: Making Smiles Great Again! and the creator of the VIP and MTD concepts and the RGB System of Orthodontic Classification. He 's an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and has been named one of Americas Top Dentiststhree times by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Dr. Frey lives in the suburbs of Chicago with his loving family, Shannon, Chase, Kirby Payton, Carter, and his English bulldog Roscoe. He enjoys spending time with his family, golf, skiing, cycling and all Chicago sports.

Doctor Frey and the entire staff have been awesome through my 2+ years orthodontics needs. I would highly recommend Frey orthodontist to anyone! I just got my braces off and am extremely happy with the results, they always explained everything well, appointments where easy to make, and overall had a satisfying experience!

After seeing the lovely smiles that my two kids have from Frey orthodontics, it was a no brainer to turn to them when my teeth needed help too. The office is very welcoming and clean. Though not cheap, the costs are fair, too. In this case, it feels like "you get what you pay for." The staff is friendly and efficient. Dr Frey clearly has a passion for orthodontics. This place is A+++!

Without a doubt, 5 stars to Dr. Frey and his team. I am an older patient. I'm particular, some might say exceedingly so. Dr. Frey is a perfectionist. He has exceedingly high standards for his team. Everyone walks the talk. It's teamwork at its best. All are skilled and well trained. I experienced professionalism and competence in every step of the process, from consultation, financial contract, insurance billing, appointments, and most importantly, the straightening/correction process. I had many regular appointments. I have no complaints, only praise. I came to understand everything cannot be exactly predicted in the initial consultation, planning, and straightening of stubborn old teeth. He took extra time to do the job right.

Amazing team! Professional, very satisfied with my daughters final results. I waited 2.5 years to post this review for accurate results due to Frey Orthodontics turning one of my daughters teeth 180deg because it grew backwards. I will also be making appointments for my son with bigger works to be done. Update will follow in a few years after his journey! Thank you Dr. Frey. P.S. Tracy, you rock! Thank you for all your help.

This was the most traumatizing experience of braces my family and I have had. I went 2 1/2 years doing everything I was told and every time I came in for my checkup I was scolded, told I was wrong and that I was lying,(which was untrue) these people are unprofessional and immature. My mouth was always in pain and they were always rough when working in my mouth and always discomforting. I wish I didn't have to write such a poor review but this is how I have felt. I hope the team does not treat any other patient this way.

A little background on our ortho timeline: My son & I met with Dr. Frey and his team for an initial consultation at the Algonquin office at end of November 2019. He had his braces put on in at the Naperville office mid-February of 2020. (The Pitts 21 Self-Litigating Braces System is what was recommended.) Since then, we've had 6 follow-up spots (including 1 for a bent wire). Dr. Frey and his team are always friendly, professional, and helpful. I appreciate that they take the time to educate patients and their families about what to expect during the process (starting with a very thorough initial consultation) and answer any questions we have. It is evident in the way that Dr. Frey works with his team and talks with his patients that he is passionate in what he does, genuinely cares for his patients, and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with others which speaks volumes as a professional. The offices are always immaculately clean (as one would expect in a medical environment). They have taken extreme precautions during COVID to keep their team as well as their patients safe. We are very happy with the progress we've seen as well as the service from Dr. Frey and his team. I would highly recommend Frey Orthodontics for anybody who finds themselves in need of cosmetic dentistry treatment.
