Dr. Candace Brown is a native of Dallas, Texas. She attended Lake Highlands High School in Richardson ISD, where she first decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She went on to receive her B.S. degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Baylor University. While at Baylor, Dr. Brown was very active in the community and on campus serving as a member of the Baylor Nutrition Society, a Mission Waco Ministries Mentor, Special Olympics Volunteer, Waco Humane Society Volunteer, and the President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Baylor College of Dentistry during which time she served as an active member and President of the Student National Dental Association and was awarded the Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health Award by the American Association of Public Health Dentistry.
Dr. Brown is a member of the Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the National Dental Association. She is also a member of the Urban League of Greater Dallas Young Professionals and a Fellowship Christian Academy Mentor where she continues her commitment to community service. She enjoys the unique opportunities dentistry provides to change lives and build lasting relationships.She strives to not only treat her patients to quality care but to educate them on how they can improve their own dental care needs.
In 2017, she and her husband started an investment company with hopes of making an impact on Dallas and its thriving economic potential. Their goal is to create capital and allocate resources for businesses to grow, develop, and empower underserved communities. They continue to work diligently to make the necessary strategic alliances that will make this vision a reality.
In her spare time, Dr. Brown and her husband are avid lovers of sports and they enjoy traveling with family and friends. They are the proud parents of a spunky doberman pinscher named Murph. He has a very unique personality and enjoys the company of others as much as Dr. Brown. On any given day you can find Dr. Brown reading and soaking up knowledge in abundance. She believes that as long as she is a student of life, her successes and influence are limitless.
Dr. Scroggins is a native of Wichita Falls, TX. He first became interested in dentistry in the third grade while living in Lawton, OK. A local dentist spoke to his class and the interest never left. He played collegiate basketball at Oklahoma Baptist University, where he was the pioneer tutor for an after-school program in Tecumseh grade school. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from West Texas A&M University. While at WTAMU, he started the Pre-Dental Association, was a member of the Healthcare Club, volunteered for the Special Olympics, and also worked for Arrow Child & Family Ministries. He also tutored, mentored, and trained kids of all ages in academics, behavior management, and basketball, respectively. Dr. Scroggins received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry where he received the Community Achievement Award. He is a member of the American Dental Association and a National Invisalign Provider. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, doing car repairs, cutting hair, and mentoring.
Angela is a dental assistant with lightening fast skills and dental tricks up her sleeve. She is clever in every way and this makes her a strong asset to our Fresh Team. She is currently attending college in pursuit of her dream to become a future dentist. What better opportunity than to receive mentoring from Doctor Brown, one of the best dentist in town! She is also the mother of a 4-year-old daughter, Scarlett, and a wild chocolate lab named Yogie. In her downtime, she loves to read, paint/draw, and work on crafts.
Aureliais the first welcoming smile you see when coming to our office. She manages the front desk and all of the scheduling. Her goal is to help our patients feel at home and assure them they are in the best hands in town (Dr.Brown).Aureliahas been in the dental customer service industry for over 7 years. She looks forward to getting her RDA license in the near future so that she can be crossed trained as part of the clinical staff.Aureliacomes to us from Waxahachie, TX where she lives with her husband of 17 years, Tarrell. They enjoy spending time together and with family. In her spare time,Aurelias favorite hobby is practicing photography on her family and friends and trying new things. Eliska is a dental hygienist with a love for life! She is extremely personable and cares about patients oral health needs. She enjoys sharing her knowledge & educating patients on the importance of Oral Health, and seeing the difference this can make in their lives. When she is not in the office, Eliska loves volunteering with dental missions, taking part in community service work, and mentoring students. As a mentor, her goal is to help ease new graduates transition into the world of dental hygiene and guide them in enhancing their professional development. In her spare time, she loves being with her family, enjoys crafting, wellness and fashion.
Marlene Gonzalez provides unparalleled administrative support to our Fresh team. She is dedicated to ensuring our patients receive outstanding customer service and support. Marlene is also a registered dental assistant and with her clinical experience she can guide any patient concerns with confidence . Outside of work, she is a full time mother of a 2 year old and a wonderful wife. She also enjoys southern hospitalities and crafting.
Ourhygienist, Rosy, comes to us from Grand Prairie, Texas.Rosy started out as a dental assistant. While working as a dental assistant, she wasinspired tocontinue hereducation in the dental field throughdentalhygiene. Rosy states that doing dental hygiene is rewarding in that it makes people happywhen they see the results and she loves being a part of making that happen.Rosy is very close to herfamily. She has a son, Diego and daughter, Camila. Spending time with them is her favorite hobby. We are so happy to have Rosy as part the Fresh Team.

Letttttt me tell you!!! I am 49 and have never left a Dentist office happy. But when I say I was beyond pleased from the moment I stepped into the office to the check out process. This office and staff is the epitome of professional. I genuinely felt like my teeth care was top priority, instead of a price tag. Dr. Brown is hands down the only dentist that has taken the time to go over everything I needed and not unnecessary procedures, on top of a great spirit!! If your on the fence about a Dentist, don't think twice. You will be 100 percent pleased!!!!

Dr. Cann and her staff are AMAZING!! Currently visiting and needed a filling and I was immediately put on the schedule....definitely worth the drive! From the time I walked in nothing but hospitality! The staff are all pleasant and inviting (most comfortable waiting room chairs I've ever sat in and Dr. Cann's music is fantastic!). My dental assistant Angela did the best dental exam and Dr. Cann is so pleasant and very thorough! She listened to my concerns, explained all my options and did a beautiful job on my tooth. They even called the next day to see how I was doing. Looking to move to Texas and I've already found my dentist! Quality all around! I highly recommend Dr. Cann and her team!!

Best Dentist Offie Ever! I had terrible experience with another dentist office in DFW and it left me feeling like all dentist were scams, but Fresh has renewed my trust in dentistry. I would recommend this office to any and everyone. Dr Brown is a friendly, easy going and knowledgeable dentist. She provides patient with enough information so they can make decisions about their dental health journey in an informed manner. I never feel like I have to pay for unnecessary procedures and I always experience a good cleaning.

My first visit today with Dr. Brown was absolutely wonderful she made sure to explain the services I would need at my next appointment and she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The hygienist Eliska was great, she cleaned my teeth to perfection and was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The office staff was very personable and welcoming, and explained my treatment plan and insurance benefits thoroughly. The office decor was beautiful and the music was on point! I cannot say enough good things about this dental office.

Dr. Brown is great and her staff is awesome as well. My initial visit was great and the hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. I came back for two fillings and a root canal. I was terrified but Dr. Brown made me feel so comfortable during the procedure, she explained everything the entire time,and No Pain at all! I trust her with my dental care and I'm happy I found her.

I can honestly say that this is the first time that I've ever been to the dentist and had my doctor explain each land every little thing that was wrong and how we are planning to fix it. I went back in yesterday for my appointment for my filings. Boom same greeting from the amazing team and then Dr. Brown came in and explained what the plan was executed it so precisely and didn't leave out in detail of what was going on. Never have I ever felt so comfortable with my dentist and knowing that they actually care and want to see healthy smiles! If you are looking for a dentist please look no further, Dr. Brown is it! I LOVED my experience here. This is one of the best dental visits I have ever had. The office is conveniently located, on the inside everything is nice and clean, and ALL staff members were so pleasant. Rosie worked with me, and she was very personable, detailed, and made me feel comfortable with my visit. She made sure to explain every process/tool she was using from start to finish. After Rosie finished I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Brown, who was very knowledgeable, sweet, and professional. Dr. Brown made sure to give me guidance based on how I would feel and not with the intent to get additional money. I will definitely be referring all of my friends and family here. Absolutely amazing experience!

Dr. Brown is great. I have enjoyed my visits with her and the hygienist. Unfortuntaely, I have to take my business somewhere else due to issues encountered with the staff. Today an appointment I made 4 months ago for tomorrow 4/23/21 was canceled because I was unavailable to confirm when staff called. If I don't say I'm going to cancel, it stands to reason I'll be there. I've never missed an apt and always cancel in advance "if" I can't make an apt there. I have a demanding job & am managing multiple other medical apts and feel it's not fair to bump a patient in this manner. It shows a lack of consideration for my business. In Dec when I arrived for my apt I was placed with a different hygienist without any notice or anyone asking if it was okay to put me with someone new. The regular hygienist was there that day so it should be my choice as a patient if I want someone else who is in training to service me. Prior to that I was charged for 2 apts. Each time I explained there is no co-pay or deductible with the plan I have and was disregarded by the staff who moved forward with charging me each time. A refund was processed months later but had the staff listened and verified the information, this could have been avoided. Often times Drs are not aware when issues persist with staff and it's very unfortunate because Dr. Brown truly is great but I'm tired of these repeat issues when dealing with staff. Having an apt, I've scheduled my day around canceled like this is the last straw.

Amazing experience!! Staff is professional, friendly and helpful and Dr. Brown goes above and beyond to make sure that you're comfortable. It's really hard to numb me, so my procedure took longer than usual and Dr. Brown took time out of her weekend to follow up and check on me. So proud of this Black owned business. Professional and courteous. The staff makes you feel like you're appreciated. And what to say about Dr. Candace other than a real caring soul who knows exactly what she's doing. She takes her time to explain each step. She makes sure you are comfortable and cared for. I don't do many reviews but this one was a must. The atmosphere is inviting and the music is awesome! Proud to say I love my dentist. I felt right at home, Finally! Thank you!!!

The entire experience from the appt confirmation to the follow-up call is 100% pleasant. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and accommodating. The office is modern, clean, and relaxing. Dr. Brown is the absolute BEST. You can feel how genuine she is and her smile instantly puts you at ease. She is as kind as she is talented and intelligent. Needless to say, I'm excited that I found this place! HIGHLY recommend.
