Dr. Richard B. Dunning was born and raised in Mobile, AL, and earned his BS degree in biology at The University of Alabama-Birmingham. He went on to earn his DDS degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and was commissioned into the United States Navy after completing school. During his commission he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program.
Dr. Dunning has been practicing dentistry since 1995 and has been in practice in North Carolina since 1999. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, The North Carolina Dental Society, and Gaston County Dental Society. In the 2015 Edition of The Leading Physicians of the World, Dr. Dunning was featured as one of the top dentists. He was also recognized for his outstanding and dedicated service as president of the Gaston County Dental Society. Dr. Dunning continues to give back to the community yearly: he participates in the Colgate Dental Screening Bus, Give Kids a Smile, and NC Mission of Mercy, serving thousands of locals who have dental needs. He is dedicated to staying up to date with advances in dentistry through participation in frequent continuing-education courses.
In his spare time, Dr. Dunning enjoys mentoring youth, spending time with friends, shopping, and traveling. Dr. Dunning and his wife, Valerie, have been married for 21 years and have two amazing children, Rosemary and Richard.

I #Love Fresh Dental - Park Rd. The staff is Amazing. They truly care for their patients. I never feel like a stranger. After any procedure they call to check on you and your progress. This was extremely valuable when my daughter; who was very nervous had her cleaning. This made her more at ease. I always want to feel like I'm not a stranger. Not only does the staff pay special attention to the patient who was there for their treatment, they know when the other family members need an appointment and their treatment. It's refreshing!

I went in for an emergency checkup and walked out with a big smile on my face. The staff was very friendly and informative of my issue and options. I got an answer and a solution to my tooth pain in one day as a new patient. Excellent service and great workers.

I visited this practice to fix several issues I have in my teeth sometime around June/July 2022. The first visit for my routine yearly checkup and comprehensive treatment plan went well. To fix one of the several issues, to get the appointment, I was asked to pay around $2000 in advance, which I paid and received the treatment. I asked why I need to pay in advance, why don't they charge my dental insurance companies. They said, they will file claims, once they receive the payments, I will get the refund. I agreed and went ahead with the treatment. At the end of the treatment, I wanted to fix my second issue in my teeth. For that, again I was asked to pay $2400 to get the appointment. Since my credit card didn't have enough credit, I told I would call and fix the appointment once I have enough credit. After a couple of weeks, I got a call from them saying, I have around $1200 credit, and have an appointment on a particular day, which tooth you want to go next. It was a surprise to me, because I did not ask for any appointment around the date they mentioned, and the credit amount should be around $2000 instead of $1200. I got little suspicious, because both of my insurance companies processed their claims (I got letters from my insurance companies directly to me). So I asked my account statement, which they emailed to me. In the statement I found that $799 was deducted from my account with no explanation. When I asked why they booked the appointment without my consent, and also asked about why they deducted $799. There was no clear explanation. Since I suspected something fishy is going on, I asked them to cancel the appointment which they booked without my knowledge or consent asked to explain how can they book an appointment on their own. They told they would get back to me after talking to their regional manager. Till now (8 Oct 2022), I did not get any explanation why did they book the appointment without my knowledge and why they deducted $799. In the meantime, I filed a complaint with NC Insurance regulations department about this issue and spoke to an agent. Now they acknowledged that the deduction of $799 was a mistake from their side, it will be credited back once they receive payments from the one of my insurance companies which they say they haven't received yet. Really I am wondering when they were ready to give further treatments without receiving actual payments, but now when I asked the money back, they say they haven't received the money from insurance companies yet. Now they said they give return the money only after receiving the payment from insurance companies. Those pending claim's/payments are not related to my treatment, those are belong to my wife's treatment. They say they maintain one common account for entire family. I see really something going on which I fail to understand as a layman. Long story short, I don't have any issues with the treatment I received from them. But I am really concerned about their account management practices and handling customers money. I will update this review depending on how they are going to handle this situation. Due to their suspicious activities, I suggest others, please be careful and check the bills, account activities and ask for explanations.

The staff is friendly and I didn't spend any time in the waiting room. The cleaning was good and the dentist quickly did his check right after my cleaning was finished. Friendly. Respectful of clients time. Overall a good experience . I have no complaints

Dr. Ganglani was amazing. I had a root broken above the gum. He eliminated the pain, explained the options clearly and as a bonus he had a great sense of humor while being empathetic to my situation. They are now my new dentist. Great friendly atmosphere from everyone!

The experience was fantastic. The entire staff is so warm and friendly. My treatment options were explained so well, and I was given so much time to discuss them with Dr. Robani and alll the other staff members. Highly.recommend the practice for their competence and compassion.

Exceptionally clean, well-organized facility. Everyone from receptionists to clinicians are professional, friendly and very attentive. Everyone knows their job and show that they know it well. My first ever dental deep cleaning and Elayna the hygienist and Cat made it super simple and painless. I'm afraid of Needles and asked for numbing gel. Elayna was patient with me and answering any and all questions I have. I am scheduled with Elayna for my next cleaning as well. Thank you Elayna and Cat for your patience and understanding.
