Dr. Lorena Herrera was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and came to the USA in 1996 with her missionary parents and younger brother. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, she then completed a post-baccalaureate certificate in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas. She received her dental education at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry (former Baylor College of Dentistry) where she earned her Doctor of Dentistry degree.
Dr. Herrera is married to Joey Herrera and together they have a one-year-old little boy, Levi Jordan. He is a ray of sunshine and keeps them on their toes! In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family and three dogs. She loves to travel and try new and delicious food! She also loves going back home to Brazil to visit her extended family and have some fun, well-deserved beach time.
It is very special that Dr. Herrera was a dental assistant for 11 years prior to becoming a dentist. That experience helped her fall in love with the art of dentistry and her patients. She values the relationships she builds with each of her patients as she learns about them as unique and special people. Just as we always do at Fresh Dental, Dr. Herreras goal is to create a comfortable environment for the whole family while providing exceptional dental care.

Going in today with my mother was very rewarding. Mom has been waiting to get dentures and seeing her with her teeth brought tears to our eyes. It's been so long. We love the concern that was displayed and seeing my mom so comfortable with her new look. Thank you for giving her smile and confidence back.

This place is so awesome ever since I 1st started going there years ago. All of the assistants and of course the dental doctors are all just like family and they treat you just as that, warm, welcoming, caring, interested in you and what you do, and what you have to say. Can't have anything else any better than that. They are all wonderful people. Awesome visit today for my scan and next month is my crown, I'm so excited. It's been a long road for me. you ladies!!

I love Fresh Dental. Dr Herrera and staff are amazing. They have a way of remembering something about you personally which always make you feel like they are your friends. I've never felt so comfortable about going to the dentist until I came here. I loved this place so much that I referred my coworkers. Thank you Dr. Herrera!!

This is hands down the best dentist. I have been going to Fresh Dental for years and I eventually recommended my sister and my brother in law to also go and they also like it. Dr Herrera and all her staff are so nice. When I go in I feel comfortable and welcomed. They do an amazing job! I love this place so much.

The office in the Target plaza, Richardson has a very friendly and competent staff for all of my needs. That included doing their best to repair my partial plate that one of puppies decided to use as a chew toy. It's not perfect but it is useable until my insurance will replace it. I have used them for all my other dental work also, in fact they had the original partial made.
