A graduate of Barbe High School in Lake Charles, LA, Dr. Corcoran received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, and continued on to LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. But her education has not stopped there. She continues to seek out continuing education opportunities in order to stay up-to-date on the latest in dental treatment best practices and advances in dental equipment and technology. She is committed to bringing the best in dentistry to her Lake Charles clients, and it shows!
Dr. Corcoran is a devoted Christian, loving wife to Sean, and proud mother of three beautiful childrenJohn Francis, Zizi, and Henry. She is currently on the Board of the Lake Charles Childrens Museum, and she and her family are active members of their church community at Our Lady Queen of Heaven.
Whether it is providing exceptional dental care, wrapping her family and friends in warmth and love, or giving back to the community in meaningful ways, Dr. Corcoran is on a mission to change the world one smile at a time.
He grew up in Lake Charles but was originally from Converse, Louisiana. His parents, Roy and Mary Cates, were both in education; but Dr. Cates was influenced as a sophomore at Barbe High School by a biology class teacher and decided then that the medical field was his calling. He graduated from Barbe High School in 1976 and then attended McNeese State University. Upon graduation in 1980, he continued on the on to LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
His lovely wife, Joy, has been his office manager for 30 years. His daughter, Charlene Shawa, is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the proud grandfather of Ben (15) and Emily (13).

After having such a terrible experience at my last dentist it's great to have a complete 180 and have a wonderful experience. They were very attentive to the issues that I experienced with my last dentist and made sure that I was comfortable and received excellent service. I went in for a filing and they were all so helpful and a delight to deal with. I'm so happy we found Peppermint Sage! Thanks again for the great experience.

I've been getting my teeth cleaned here for years and always enjoy the friendly staff, atmosphere, and dental care given. Kristen Conner is my hygienist and is second to none! Dr. Corcoran is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Dr. Corcoran and staff just feel like home. They are welcoming and personal at each and every visit. You can tell they are a close-knit team who enjoy working together which makes a patient feel more at ease. My dental care is always done throughly, and she is respectful of my time, promptly beginning each appointment. When I moved to LC four years ago, I used google reviews to choose Dr. Corcoran, and I'm so glad that I did!

I cannot say enough good things about dr. Cochran and her staff. This was my toddlers' first dentist appointments and they absolutely put them at ease. They were so patient and kind. We also have been experiencing speech issues with my older toddler that we've been jumping through hoops to solve and Dr. Cochran identified immediately what I've been suspecting for a long time as a tongue tie. We were hesitant to use them after Dr. Cates retired because we had used him for over a decade but are very happy with the care we received.

The staff are all so friendly and professional. I enjoyed my visit. Dr. Hamilton is a great dentist. I never felt any pain while having crown work done. His assistant was really good as well. They all are. The crown looks and feels great. I'm so glad I decided to try them. Will definitely be my choice for future dental work.
