Education Detail: Dr Adam Stump grew up in Fort Wayne, IN and studied fine arts, biology, and chemistry at Purdue University. He then pursued further education in clinical laboratory science at Parkview Health Systems where he worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist for 6 years. However, being in a lab, he couldn't directly see the effect of his work on his patient's lives; he wanted to use his background in fine arts and love for science to change people's lives for the better.
His sister, a dental hygienist, recommended dentistry. It was soon apparent to him that dentistry offered the perfect blend of art and science, and he found his true calling. He then went on to complete his dental education at New York University College of Dentistry, and is passionate about all aspects of dentistry.
Lifestyle and Hobbies: I love spending time with my wife, Stephania, and two dogs Auron and Brody (Chibuahua and Golden Retriever/Brittany mix), hiking, camping, traveling to National Parks, and doing all sorts of outdoor activities.
Also, in my free time I enjoy running (completed multiple half-marathons, marathons, and an ultra-marathon), bodybuilding (competed in local bodybuilding competitions in 2011), drawing and painting, and am currently expanding on my woodworking.
