As a dentist, each and every day I am fortunate to be able to come to work and make positive differences in the lives of my patients. The benefits of a healthy and beautiful smile go far beyond maintaining excellent overall health. The bolstering of confidence and self-esteem in a patient when given proper and caring dental treatment is such a reward, and it acts as the driving force behind each treatment I provide.

I absolutely love being able to pull gorgeous and bright smiles out of my patients that, without the treatments I provide them, would have otherwise gone unseen. Further, being a dentist has allowed me to build lasting and significant relationships with my patients as I watch them grow and take on all of lifes challenges; that I can somehow help them through those challenges and be a part of their lives most important moments has never been something Ive taken for granted.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska and then stayed at the school to enroll in the universitys Medical Center College of Dentistry. There, I completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

In order to provide my patients the most advanced and up-to-date dental treatments, I strive to stay on the cutting edge of my field through spending numerous hours continuing my education. I regularly attend courses and seminars on implants, cosmetic dentistry, CEREC treatments, TMD disorders, and other comprehensive dental treatments and trends.

Further, I am given even more opportunities to stay abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and technologies within the field of dentistry by actively participating in the following professional affiliations:

My community has given me much to be thankful for, so I always make it a priority to give back in what ways that I can. Donating my time or resources is one way that I can thank the members of my community for all that they do. For instance, I volunteer often for the Give Back a Smile program, which is dedicated to restoring the smiles of people who have been victimized by domestic abuse. Our office volunteers for the Nebraska Mission of Mercy, which provides free dental care to thousands of patients annually. I also regularly donate toothbrushes to the Salvation Army as well as mouthguards to the local youth football program.

I grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota, but I have had the pleasure of calling Nebraska home for the last 30 years. My husband, Jim, and I have two teenage sons: Jack, age 19, and Cade, age 17. With their ages, chauffeuring my children to their sporting events and watching those events as a proud parent has come to an end and I am trying to prepare for the empty nest ahead!

When Im not in the office, I love nothing more than spending time with my family. In the summers, we are always outside enjoying the sun, baseball, and water sports. And in the winter, you can find us hibernating and enjoying the football season. When I can enjoy some time for myself, I enjoy reading the latest dental and interior design magazines.

I find it rewarding and refreshing to be part of a team that positively influences the lives of others. I strive to assist patients in achieving a healthy state through personalized patient education and prevention plans. With a conversational and gentle approach, I am dedicated to discovering goals, ensuring patient comfort, and improving smiles. Furthermore, I appreciate the opportunity to get to know the entire family and truly adore the time entrusted with the little ones. Helping children get started with healthy habits motivates me daily and encourages lifelong healthy mouths. I feel fortunate to provide our patients with highest quality of dentistry alongside a caring team.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree at Wayne State College and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. I am committed to lifelong dental education, realizing that implementing advanced dental techniques into my practice is best for optimal patient care.

With two small children, Lauren and John, we are busy! All of the first experiences with themfill my heart with joy. When free time allows, you will likely find my husband, Hugh, Lauren, John and me at a sporting event cheering on the Huskers, spending time with family, or taking our dog, Murphy, to the farm for a day of fishing and relaxation.

Dentistry is a profession that has long played an important role in my family. I knew that I wanted a career where I could help care for people, and I found my calling quicklygrowing up with multiple family members who were dentists. As a fourth-generation dentist, I am excited to think back on how much has changed and improved in dentistry since my great-grandfather was practicing more than100 years ago!

It was my privilege to start my careerby serving as a dentist in the US Army, providing the highest quality of dental care to our nations soldiers. Now, I am more than excited to bring that same level of care to our patients at Fremont Dental Group. I truly enjoy connecting with patients and getting to know them, then working with them to achieve a healthy, pain-free, and beautiful smile. I never take for granted that I am given the opportunity to improve lives by improving smiles.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Following graduation, I was accepted into the US Army Health Professions Scholarship Program and earned myDDS at Creighton University School of Dentistry.

Lifelong learning is something that I feel is a crucial aspect in the ability to provide the highest quality of care to my patients. Therefore, I regularly attend courses that cover a variety of dental topics. Dentistry is fun because it is an ever-changing profession. I want to be sure I am always using the best techniques and technology available when caring for my patients.

I grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota. After spending four years stationed at Ft. Riley in Kansas,we now enjoybeing closer to family withour home here in Nebraska. My husband, Matt, and I have two beautiful children who keep our days full and our hearts fuller. Miles is sevenand Nora is four. Our kids are particularly excited to be able to frequently visit the Henry Doorly Zoo! When I find free time, Ilike playing volleyball, spending time outdoors and enjoying time with my kids, reading or playing at the park.
