Dr. Freitas is thrilled to be practicing dentistry in his hometown. He was not only born and raised in Brentwood, but he is also a sixth generation resident of our town. After graduating from Liberty High School, Dr. Freitas completed his Bachelor's of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Then, after graduating from Pacific, he attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he spent the next four years mastering his craft and rooting for the Trojans at every home football game.
Since attaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Freitas settled down once again in Brentwood with his wife, Shelley, and their dog, Barkley. His son Jack was added to the mix a few years later and always keeps things entertaining. Dr. Freitas has completed a few marathons and just completed a 4 year daily running streak. He can often be found out on a bike ride with his family or on a jog with his dog.
Dr. Freitas is currently an active member of the Contra Costa Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, in 2020 he is serving the Sacramento-Sierra Component in the role of component president. Furthermore, Dr. Freitas spends time throughout the year discussing new trends in patient care with colleagues as a member of the Delta Study Club and Spear Study Club. He spends as much time as possible attending continuing education courses in order to keep up to date on all the newest techniques to help provide comprehensive dental care in a comfortable environment.
FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year not every dentist does this.

My whole family goes to Freitas dentistry. They are fast friendly and do a great job. They don't try to upsell on a million things that I don't want or need. Highly recommend!

Very nice and honest. Good service. Brentwood native. Can tell interesting stories about the history of the town. Too bad they dropped out of my PPO network. Otherwise I would go there again. Definitely recommend.

I haven't been to the dentist in years since I was a teen! I always feared going to the dentist, but the people here made me feel more comfortable and were so friendly. They were very thorough and explained things way better than my past dentist. Best customer service I received all year. I felt happy for the rest of the day :) I'll definitely be back!

Dr Freitas' staff worked me into his schedule to look at the problem. They were very thorough and the equipment is up to date -- all digital xrays immediately available. Dr. Freitas took his time to understand and thoroughly assess my issue and I left fully satisfied and reassured about my dental health. Super dentist. I highly recommend

The only dentist you should ever even consider! Dr. Freitas is the best dentist in Brentwood for your family, period. After several very bad experiences with local dentists who actually made my dental situation worse, Dr. Freitas saved the day. He fixed the issues with care and expertise. Since I began seeing him, I have had no issues and only stop in every 6 months for a cleaning. His office is clean, modern and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and caring. Dr. Freitas offers excellent preventive care, dental repair (I have two crowns that he replaced and have had no issues) and is personable and friendly. Finally I found the dentist for my family. Five stars.

Dr Freitas is able to make the most uncomfortable experience as comfortable as it can be. He's done a lot of work in my mouth and each time I am more impressed with the professionalism of he and his team.

This is the dentist that I decided to go to after years of not having dental insurance. He is from Brentwood and went to Liberty High School. I also liked that he has a new practice with new state of the art equipment, and has training in the latest techniques. This really helped me get back to the dentist after such a long time off.

Dr. Freitas runs a solid practice that's great for my family. When I had pain from a poorly seated crown done by another dentist, Dr. Freitas fixed it and I haven't had any pain since. He also made a flawless repair to a chipped tooth that I had. I definitely recommend Dr. Freitas
