Dr. Diana Almy is a board certified orthodontist serving the communities of the greater Fredericksburg area for over 15 years. A Fredericksburg area native, Dr. Almy was excited to return home after dental school to open Fredericksburg Orthodontics and Invisalign Center in 2005.
Dr. Almy graduated magna cum laude from Randolph-Macon College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (finishing first in her class). She received her Master of Science from VCU School of Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Almy loves being able to blend the art and science of dentistry with the analytical thought behind planning the treatment of an orthodontic case. It brings her great satisfaction to envision how a case will finish and then use creativity to tweak a tooth position and analytics to accomplish the movement. Applying these principles for the benefit of her teen patients, thereby helping them feel better about themselves, is especially rewarding for Dr. Almy. Dr. Mari Arroyo-Pratt is an orthodontist serving the community in Central Virginia. She grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Arroyo-Pratt graduated magna cum laude from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Neuroscience, with a minor concentration in French. In pursuit of her dental degree, Mari Arroyo-Pratt obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, with honors in 1995. Dr. Arroyo-Pratt received her Certificate of Orthodontics in 1997 from the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry.
Dr. Mari Arroyo-Pratt loves working with tweens and teens. Orthodontics provides the perfect opportunity to work with young patients and get to know and often treat the parents. Dr. Arroyo-Pratt enjoys practicing orthodontics in patients at various stages of dental development and collaborating with other dental professionals as part of a holistic approach to dental care.
