Harold Hal Snyder, D.D.S., M.S., is a Board Certified Periodontist who graduated from the Virginia Military Institute (with distinction), and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He completed his periodontal residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center and received his Masters Degree at the Medical College of Georgia. His distinguished 23-year military dental career provided him with extensive clinical experience in all aspects of dentistry and periodontics. Dr. Snyder is an accomplished clinician in all complex periodontal and implant procedures but, is especially adept in periodontal plastic surgery achieving unmatched cosmetic results.
Dr. Snyder is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a fellow of the American College of Dentists, a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a former Associate Clinical Instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and current Consultant at the Medical University of South Carolina Periodontal Residency. He has received numerous academic and professional awards and has lectured internationally. A decorated veteran, Colonel Snyder was awarded both the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit medals. Dr. Snyder exudes passion for dentistry and periodontics. A life-long learner, he attends numerous dental continuing education courses, is a frequent volunteer to Mission of Mercy, member of the Frederick County Dental Society, and is President of the Frederick FSK Dental Study Club. What does that mean for our patients? He is a doctor at the forefront of the latest techniques, materials, and technology. Treatment recommendations are evidence-based from current scientific studies, not a sales pitch from a company. He and his family live in the Frederick area where they are active in the community.
Ashley has been in the dental field for over thirteen years, over three of those years have been in dental hygiene. Her passion for dental care started in the United States Air Force Reserve where she served as a dental technician. She is a proud member of the American Dental Hygienists Association and sits on our local board here in Frederick County. She is passionate about her periodontal treatment and hygiene therapy. Patient care, comfort, education are the cornerstones of her hygiene care. In her personal time, she enjoys being outdoors with her family. They enjoy traveling, running and biking together.
Raychene, R.D.H., Periodontal Hygienist, has nearly thirty years of dental care experience. She is an active member of the State Dental Hygienist Professional Association (DHPA), the American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA), and the Maryland Dental Hygienists Association (MDHA). She has also served as a national committee officer for the ADHA. Raychene is dedicated to educating patients in the prevention of periodontal disease.
Natalie is the Insurance Specialist for our practice. She has over ten years experience in the dental field and had the privilege of working for a general dentist in Frederick for most of that time. She was provided with many continuing education courses to understand new dental procedures, which in turn has been as asset now working in a specialists office.
She is responsible for processing all insurance claims and her attention to detail and persistence allows her to go above and beyond to maximize our patients insurance benefits. Her years of experience give her the ability to understand the recommended dental treatment. It has also given her the knowledge to help educate patients on why the procedure is necessary.

I had two implants placed by Dr. Snyder in August. Let me just start by saying I'm a bit fearful of dental work and hesitant to get surgeries but Dr. Snyder made the process comfortable and painless. He took the time to explain the process to me and give me insight into the details of my specific case regarding gum, bone, spacing, etc. He was very conservative in his approach while being thorough. The surgery was a breeze and everything healed beautifully and I had no complications. I highly recommend Dr. Snyder to anyone looking for implants!

Dr. Snyder and the staff at Frederick Periodontal Associates are absolutely incredible. They are transparent, honest, compassionate, and highly skilled and professional. I have had dental anxiety and pain during dental procedures for the better part of my adult life because of previous experiences, so I was SHOCKED during my surgery with Dr. Snyder because, for the first time ever, I had no pain. Nothing. It was actually somewhat relaxing! The insurance determination process was explained in detail. The cost of the procedures was very competitive and very transparent - no hidden fees or other charges that are too confusing to even understand. I don't think I have ever had such positive experiences with any medical provider and I highly recommend this practice. As an added bonus, the architecture and design of the office is stunning.

Extremely professional office and an exceptional staff. Dr Snyder is personable and passionate about his work. My gum graph went well and has healed properly with no issues. Dr Snyder, before I even came in aided in getting my wife seen by a great dental surgeon that has been helping fix a monumental mistake by her previous dentist. Dr Snyder went out of his way to help because he takes this buisness serious and cares about his patients. Would recommend this periodontal office to anyone.

I'm not sure where to even begin!!! Unfortunately I was born with congenital Hypondonita (missing 2 teeth)my grandma and mother as well and it has been nothing but heartbreak and embarrassment. I went years with 2 Maryland Bridges all was great up until about 5 years ago. They started to fall out wiggle and made it hard to be confident AT ALL. I could not attend outings that involved dinner or eating, I'd make excuses to save myself the embarrassment of a bridge falling out in front of everyone. Finally one morning it fell out and I was DONE, after many anxiety attacks and crying for hours I couldn't deal with it any longer. I made 3 consultations with 3 different oral surgeons in the same day and Frederick Periodontal Associates was by FAR the most caring, warm welcoming one of all. From the second I called crying, you could hear it in my voice the medical receptionist was so amazing, I was scheduled the same week and someone happened to cancel and the office knew how much it meant for me to get in and get this all behind me so I was able to come in 24 hours after calling. My biggest fear in life was having these dental implants placed, I had nightmares if I'm being honest. The day came, no it was not fun, yes it was unpleasant and something I will never forget but I was so very well taken care of that day. Everything was explained in normal terms and not fancy doctor talk, I felt like they had known me for years Today I am currently healing and on my final stage to get my crowns and I can't put into words how amazing my experience was. If you are in the market and need a oral surgeon for any reason, do yourself a HUGE favor and contact Dr. Snyders office. I can't think of 1 negative or unpleasant experience at all and I give 100 STARS!!

I have had two gum grafts with Dr. Snyder, and he has done an excellent job both times. He and his staff are very professional, the office is very clean, and the procedure goes by fairly quickly. He also follows up personally on the afternoon of the procedure.

I went to see Dr Snyder for a second opinion on gum grafting. Dr Snyder and all his office staff were and are very friendly, professional and attentive. I truly appreciate Dr Snyder's thoughtfully conservative approach. He set up a schedule to monitor the situation over time rather than immediately schedule expensive surgery. He was clearly interested in pursuing what was best for the patient, not just in making money. I find his approach and expertise most trustworthy and would highly recommend him to anyone needing periodontal care or advice.

Dr Synder and his staff is awesome. I have been seeing Dr Synder for the past 15 years. Starting while I was on Active duty with the Army. I have continued to see him after retirement. I could not ask for better treatment. Today he saw me on short notice due to a broken tooth. As busy as they he is, he made time for me on short notice and checked out my situation early this morning and we discussed my options and set me up for the next step. Great Dentist and great staff.

Dr. Snyder is amazing! Who knew surgery could be so easy and painless?! He definitely knows what he's doing and is kind as well. Dr. Snyder even sent me a text himself the evening after my surgery to see how I was doing and if I had any questions or issues. I healed so quickly and was impressed with his work. He also knows how to pick the perfect staff! I can't stress enough how kind and helpful Janet, Amanda and Natalie are! I was struggling with high anxiety at the time of my visit and they took extra time with me and were so understanding and patient! I honestly felt like they were my family the way they all took care of me. What an awesome experience! Highly recommend!
