Frederick Pediatric Dentistry is designed with children and families in mind. Our goal is to help all of our patients, including those with special needs, feel at ease by providing a soothing environment in which to receive the best pediatric dental and orthodontic care.
Pediatric dental treatment is provided in a private room with the parents always present. We have chosen not to use an 'open' setting to care for our pediatric dental patients because we find children are more comfortable when they are in their own soothing space with a family member by their side.
Frederick Pediatric Dentistry is designed with children and families in mind. We are completely accessible to those with special needs. Our goal is to help all of our patients feel at ease by providing a soothing environment in which to receive the best pediatric dental and orthodontic care.
Upon entering our Frederick office, patients are greeted with well-loved child friendly artwork and a captivating 155-gallon saltwater reef aquarium and within each exam room we have installed HD DirecTV so they can watch their favorite shows during their visit.
Our orthodontic patients are typically older and enjoy our more casual open area; also fitted with HD DirectTV. Just as with our pediatric dental patients, parents are encouraged to be present during treatment.
We also have a quiet room with a couch and dim lighting dedicated for those patients who candidates for mild to moderate oral sedation. For pediatric patients who may require it, we offer nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas) and general anesthesia services locally through various surgical centers and hospitals in the area. We are one, of only a select few, pediatric dental practices in Maryland to have earned a Class 1 Sedation Permit.

Both of my daughters go here and everyone is great with them. We had are first visit almost 3yrs ago with Dr. T and a very anxious 3 yr old. Who had a very bad experience with her first trip to the dentist at another dentistry. She was able to warm her over enough to do the procedure. Now she doesn't want to leave when were finished. I cant say enough kind words about how they treat them. id give 10 stars if I was able!!

Usually with dr offices it's the staff that is rude and not the dr but in this case it's the opposite. The staff was nice but Dr. Camacho is very rude with parents and children. He has no patience with a three-year-old for moving his legs. At the end of the appointment because he found a cavity he asked me how my child's home life is asked if he was living in two separate homes. Then when I asked him if my son's mouth was going to be in pain his answer was "well I didn't numb him!" Believe all the negative reviews. He should not be working with kids if he has no patience and is going to be rude.

We have an autistic three-year-old son who has an abscessed and I was worried about finding a dentist who could help with my son being that he's a very big fighter. The way he the dentist helps with controlling my son while he checked his mouth was amazing compared to anyone I've seen that has to deal with my son just for check-ups .This Dentistry is by far #1choice that I would recommend for anyone who has an autistic child and needs to be seen by a dentist very friendly staff. they talk you through everything and the fact they had patience for my son it was a big factor in my 5 star rating

I made an appt for my child in late summer for 11/24/21. I came in the day of the appt only to be told that my daughter was not on the schedule and that they had CANCELLED her appt because they no longer take her insurance. Well, that would have been fine had they sent a text, called or even sent something in the mail to inform me but I RECEIVED NOTHING!! They claimed two emails had been sent however after searching my emails, I did not see anything. This place has called me to remind of appts, billing etc but deemed it unnecessary to call to let me know they were cancelling my daughters appt that I made MONTHS in advance and took off work for. This is clearly an important change to be notified about and I was shocked they felt a email would suffice to relay this information. I was obviously upset, but what made it worse was the receptionists' smug attitude regarding their lack of communication AND the fact that she felt that she could interrupt me REPEATEADLY while I was speaking. She had disgusting customer service. The only reason they get 2 stars is because prior to this incident, my daughter really loved coming to this dental office. The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant and the dentist and dental hygienist that we encountered were always so nice and attentive. Their lack of communication about dropping my child's insurance AND cancelling her appt was poor practice and could have been handled differently so that I could have planned in advance and found her a new dentist.

Our daughter Lilli went for her first visit yesterday. This is her fist time ever going to the dentist and we were afraid she might get nervous. She absolutely loved it! She was so excited that she got to watch Bubble Guppies during her cleaning and everyone was great with her. This is a wonderful office for kids!

Doctor T. Is amazing. She was able to correct my sons tongue and lip ties with a lazer. She showed me how to keep the tongue from re-attatching to the bottom of his mouth. I am beyond grateful my son doesn't have to suffer with those ties.

Waited 3 months for my children's new patient appointments, take off work... only to get a call a week before saying our appointments are cancelled and will be rescheduled 3 more months out to October ! Ridiculous ! Find a dental office who cares about your time and their patients!

My kids come here every 6 months for a cleaning and they LOVE it here! In the past 17 years, we have been to a few other places. My kids rate this place 5 stars and one other place in Frederick 5 stars. The other couple places got a 3 & under. Everyone here is extremely friendly, very caring & nurturing to those with Dentophobia (odontophobia). Dental techs and Dentists always have a smile on! I am always informed to the fullest of what is going on, what treatment needs to be done, if any. I've never walked out with questions or concerns or had to call the next day for more info. If I remember correctly, if one of the girls has to have a cavity filled or sometime of treatment done, they call me a day or 2 later to see how the girls are doing & if there is anything I need or anything they can do for me/us. Always on point! Def referred them to everyone I know with kids. Thank you FPD, LLC!
