Frederick Pediatric Dentistry is designed with children and families in mind. Our goal is to help all of our patients, including those with special needs, feel at ease by providing a soothing environment in which to receive the best pediatric dental and orthodontic care.

Pediatric dental treatment is provided in a private room with the parents always present. We have chosen not to use an 'open' setting to care for our pediatric dental patients because we find children are more comfortable when they are in their own soothing space with a family member by their side.

Frederick Pediatric Dentistry is designed with children and families in mind. We are completely accessible to those with special needs. Our goal is to help all of our patients feel at ease by providing a soothing environment in which to receive the best pediatric dental and orthodontic care.

Upon entering our Frederick office, patients are greeted with well-loved child friendly artwork and a captivating 155-gallon saltwater reef aquarium and within each exam room we have installed HD DirecTV so they can watch their favorite shows during their visit.

Our orthodontic patients are typically older and enjoy our more casual open area; also fitted with HD DirectTV. Just as with our pediatric dental patients, parents are encouraged to be present during treatment.

We also have a quiet room with a couch and dim lighting dedicated for those patients who candidates for mild to moderate oral sedation. For pediatric patients who may require it, we offer nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas) and general anesthesia services locally through various surgical centers and hospitals in the area. We are one, of only a select few, pediatric dental practices in Maryland to have earned a Class 1 Sedation Permit.

Be careful with this place. They don't tolerate delays in treatments they suggest. As if patients mean nothing but dollar signs. Also, if there is an issue, the front desk staff don't handle it appropriately. They left a voicemail two days ago to confirm my kids appointment. When we showed up on the right day and time, they told us there was no appointment because of a mistake they made. Even after I played the voicemail for them, they said I was called in error. Instead of bringing us to the back to discuss in private, they publicly vented our situation to anyone in the waiting room. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. I asked to speak to a manager and they said nobody was available. My suggestion: take your money elsewhere. This practice doesn't deserve it.

Front desk receptionist was very rude when I tried to turn my paperwork in. Very unprofessional

As I sit hear listening to two of my kids excitedly (yes, excitedly) get ready to go to the dentist, which they have been looking forward to for a week, I thought it only appropriate to share just how much we love all this office! They are so kid friendly and take all of the fear out of going to the dentist. Instead they put the fun into going, and into oral care! We recommend them to everyone we know with kids. Their office is spotless, the staff is amazing and your kids will thank you! My kids just made a (LONG) list of their favorite things at the dentist and it made my heart happy. They also have an in-house ortho, who is just as amazing and highly recommended. Having the ortho in the same office made it 100% less scary for my son to go because he was already so used to going to the happy dentist office! If your child has any dentist office fears, this is the place for you.

Brought my baby here for treatment and originally loved how they treated us so we decided to go back for a follow up on some concerns on her teeth. The provider didn't even bother looking at half her teeth that we had concerns about and pretty much said there's nothing i can do they're baby teeth they'll fallout..like helloo!! If they're not treated it can get bad for her future teeth and health. I really want to give this place another chance but i don't wanna waste my time again.

I will not give a 1 because the dental care both of my children have received over the years has been great. The three is due to the hypocrisy seen today, July 1st, 2021. Maryland has lifted the Covid state of emergency. Upon entering the lobby, there are at least 10 signs stating masks are still required in all medical facilities due to CDC guidelines. Fair enough. The whole time I was alone in the lobby, I wore a mask, per CDC guidelines. FOUR ladies behind the desk were all unmasked for the half of an hour that I was there. Not eating or drinking, just gossiping. This is in violation of CDC guidelines. When I left, I pointed out that none of them were masked. One lady said it was because a divider was up between me and them. I asked if that meant I could have had my mask off also do to the divider. She gave no response. If she said yes, that violates the CDC. If she said no, that meant they were in the wrong. I will continue to send my children there due to their dental service, but they must follow the mask guidelines just like patients and those waiting in the lobby.

This dentist office has always been friendly and professional. They take time to make kids comfortable at their visit. They also take the time to meet with parents to address any concerns or praises. They are not rushed or pushy. Great job to the entire team!!

Not impressed with the poor attitudes of the front office. They couldn't care less about what you have to say, don't want to listen and just treat you like a schedule slot or fee, not a patient. We were seen by one dentist who was good but not sure if it's worth it. There are other children's dentists in the area...

The dental hygienist, Liz, was so patient with my son. She was willing to spend the time talking with him and helping him overcome his fears. Without her, he wouldn't have been willing to get his teeth cleaned.

I took my son Dwayne for his first dentist appointment here today. And I couldn't be more thrilled about how awesome the staff and the dentist was! Y'all are great! Thank you for being so sweet and doing your best to make it as nonscary experience for my son

Eeeeeeveryone at this office was so friendly and kind to my 3-year-old. The waiting room has toys and a TV for kids, there's a beautiful fish tank that a hygienist showed my son, and they even asked what he'd like to watch in his private room during his cleaning. As a mom of a son with sensory issues and a speech delay, I appreciate how so many people went above and beyond to be so patient and kind to us!

Went in for our 19 month old sons first appointment. Was told on the phone it would be a brushing, check and familiarizing him with the dentist/tools, ect. Once we got in the back, the Dr came in and just says "Omg, hes huge", and then says they're going to brush him. The has me hold him down while she grabs his head and starts to brush while he screams. She never even said hi to him, introduced herself, made anyone feel okay about being there. Definitely not a "pediatric dentist" Absolute worst experience and we will never be back. Front desk staff was great!

Love this dentist office. They have wonderful staff and amazing dentists. They definitely know kids and how to handle them. And always make me feel comfortable and informed. I always book both my kids back to back and they handle this awesome every time. Love the text notifications and the Facebook page. Kids feel so at ease and comfortable here I never have heard an unhappy kid come out after seeing one of the dentists. Also the fish tank is awesome and an awesome thing for the kids to look forward to when I say we are going to the dentist Today! :)

I am not someone to wrote bad reviews ever but I had a very negative experience with my 2 year old today. This was his first dentist appt ever and he did pretty well. The hygenist was pretty gruff though not someone I would pick to.deal with children. She expected my child to just know how to open his mouth on command etc.. After the cleaning the hygenist pointed to a toy basket for my child to grab a toy from to keep. He picked a truck and hen grabbed another which I out back but while we were waiting for dentist he grabbed it again so.i let him that time thinig it would be ok since they were cheap 50 cent toys. No big deal right ? The hygenist then gruffly said only one and ripped the toy out of my child's hand while scolding him . She left and he grabbed it again and I absolutely didn't stop him that time. I couldnt believe that this office expected a 2 year old to practice self control with a basket of toys at their level. I understand that they have rules and so do I as a parent but occasionally it's ok to let things slide. Especially when this silly toy was keeping my.kid comfortable during this first time experience. This is not the attitude i wpuld expect from a pediatric dental practice and just left a very bad taste in my mouth. It costs almost nothing to be generous. I even .Offered to pay for the toy and they still tried to take it back from him. I will not be returning
