First and foremost, we believe that people should have their own healthy teeth for an entire lifetime. To support that belief, we subscribe to a program of preventive dental care. It is also our belief that the prevention of disease is far more enjoyable, less costly and more comfortable for all concerned. So our goal is to help you achieve and maintain a healthy mouth as quickly and as economically as possible.
In 2002, Dr. Nuzum graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and completed a combined three year fellowship and endodontic residency, earning his masters degree. His graduate research involved the study of various protocols for the introduction of profound local anesthesia in endodontic procedures. In 2010, at The National Conference for the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Nuzum received the First-Place Award in an international competition for his masters research in anesthesia. This research was then published in the June 2010 issue of the Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Nuzum has served both as a full-time faculty member and as a clinical teaching assistant at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, instructing in pain management, emergency diagnoses, and endodontic procedures over predoctoral students. After more than 11 years at The Ohio State University, one could describe him as a true Buckeye. He resides in Wooster with his family, of which he is the blessed father of 5 children and the fortunate husband of his high-school sweetheart.
Dr. Balzer was born and raised in Strongsville, Ohio. He then attended The Ohio State University where he received both his bachelors of science in zoology and his subsequent doctorate of dental surgery. It was during his tenure at Ohio State where he met his wonderful wife, Kara, who also hails from northeast Ohio.
After graduation from dental school, Dr. Balzer practiced for three years before returning for his post-doctorate residency in endodontics. In 2018, he received his Endodontic Certificate and Masters of Science degree from The Ohio State University endodontic program. As a post-doctoral student, his research focused on management of dental pain. Dr. Balzer is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and is pursuing diplomate status.

Dr. Nuzum and his staff were great helping me get through my root canal yesterday. The staff and the doctor were professional and helpful every step of the way. Plus they have dental chairs with heat and massage. I highly recommend them.

Had dental work done today. Highly recommend office. No wait time, registration was seamless, was told my financial responsibility the same day I called, appointment setting was fast and efficient, the staff was friendly. Needless to say I was highly impressed, this is a well run office.

Who could know a root canal could be so enjoyable! Really, really highly recommend. Professional, timely, personable. Just great. I had tooth pain (#14 front molar) for 4 months and within 1 hour I was pain free. Thank you!
