Dr. Rouch grew up in Valparaiso and graduated from Indiana University in 1989. He is a 1995 graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He remains committed to learning and takes courses annually that significantly exceeds the requirements of his licensing requirements. He considers staff training very important and commits the entire team to regular office trips to higher their proficiency and knowledge.

Car restoration, woodworking, and following his childrens sports/activities are his interests. He also enjoys following Indiana Hoosier basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Dr. Rouch and his wife, Barbara (Winsett), married in 1994, and together they have three children: Ellen, who graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2019, Glen, who attends University of Southern Indiana, and Willie, who attends Boonville High School.

Dr. Ashley was born and raised in the Evansville area. He is a 1991 graduate of Indiana University and a 1995 graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry. He continually pursues clinical and academic excellence by attending numerous continuing education courses and programs on an annual basis. Additionally, he is committed to a high level of staff training and has taken the entire team to various courses around the country in an effort to place a priority of ongoing learning.

Golfing and Coaching (baseball) are his interests. In addition, he loves to follow Indiana Hoosier basketball, Los Angeles Dodgers baseball, and Pittsburgh Steeler football. He has been married to his wife, Lucy, since 1995 and together they have a son, Drew, who attends IU on a baseball scholarship and a daughter, Claire, who attends Memorial High School.

Dr. Frounfelter is a 2013 graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is a member of the Delta Sigma Delta Professional fraternity and a 2009 DePauw University graduate. Since moving to Evansville in 2014, Dr. Frounfelter has become a proud West Side Nut Club member and is very passionate about preserving our community. He and his family are active members of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

His hobbies include golfing, watching all IU sports, enjoying outdoor activities, but most importantly spending time with his family. His wife, Martha, is a 2008 graduate of Memorial High School and a graduate from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Nutrition. They currently havethree beautiful boys, Daniel (2013), Reid (2015), and Isaac (2018), who keep them very busy!

Dr. Welborn grew up in Harrisburg, IL. He graduated from Duke University in 2011 and is a 2018 graduate of Southern University School of Dental Medicine. As a new member of the Evansville community, he is excited to become involved in service organizations to help give back. He is also devoted to ongoing education and training to best serve our patients.

He enjoys Duke basketball, fishing, and being a dad. He also looks forward to being an active member in a local church. He and his wife, Reilly, have been married since 2013 and have two young daughters, Aria, born in 2015 and Isla born in 2019.

Dr. Sontz is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and has practiced dentistry in Evansville for over 28 years. He is pleased to have merged his practice with Franklin Street Dentistry and is enjoying being a part of such a vibrant and caring practice. He is a member of local, state, and national dental associations.

He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, since 2001 and has a daughter Pam, a PhD research chemist living in San Diego. Dr. Sontz enjoys traveling, being with family, watching many sports, and playing golf. He retired from our practice December of 2019, but remains a vital part of our FSD family.

Diane Barnes started her career in the dentistry field in 1996 and has been with our office since 1998. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with Bachelors Degrees in Dental Hygiene and Dental Hygiene Education. She also holds an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting from the same university. She has served as an instructor in the Dental Hygiene clinic at the university and is active in the local professional dental hygiene association.

Diane was born and raised in the Evansville area. She has been married to her husband, Tony,since 1983and together they have three sons: Josh, Zach, and Colton. Diane loves to run; you'll be able to catch her running at all the local races and even in some surrounding larger cities.

Diane Layman has been a part of the teamsince 2002. Diane (goes by Dee Dee) is a 2001 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana and holds Bachelors Degrees in Dental Hygiene and Health Sciences. She has participated in the local chapter of OVDHA for over eleven years. Diane has worked as a dental assistant and as a dental front desk receptionist. She has an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting and specializes in knowing about all facets of an operating dental office.

Diane is a native of Evansville and continues to live on Evansvilles west side with, Bill, her husband since 2004. Together they have twins: Quinn and Max, who were born in 2011. The twins keep her busy with different sports and school activities!

DeanaSchenk has been a part of the team since 2010. She is a 2009 graduate of Henderson Community College and has a degree in Dental Hygiene. She remains active in the local dental hygiene association and is heavily committed to ongoing continuing education courses. She also coordinates with the Franklin Street Events Association to keep us active in helping keep Franklin Street wonderful!

Deana is an Evansville native and lives on the west side. Sheisa pastpresident of the local Dental Hygiene Association. Sheand her husband, Brennen, stay busy with their son Rowen, who likes to keep them both on their toes! She also manages our office's Facebook page and would love for you to like it and keep up with our office happenings and good oral hygiene tips and facts!

Celebrating 25 years as a practicing dental hygienist! In 1994, Carla graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She was certified as a dental assistant in 1991 and was the recipient of the Most Outstanding Clinician Award, awarded to the student who has achieved excellence in clinical skill and is competent in all aspects of clinical patient care. In 1993 she was the recipient of the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award; it is awarded to the student who has demonstrated clinical excellence in dental hygiene.

Carla married her husband, Brad, in 1999. Together they have three sons: Jackson, Grant, and Cooper. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, playing cards, and going on long walks with her sisters.

Mary has been with Franklin Street Dentistry since April 2018. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Southern Indiana and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. In an effort to stay up-to-date on the latest changes and recommendations in dentistry, Mary devotes a lot of time to taking continuing education courses and implements what she has learned in her daily practices. She is an active member of our local dental hygiene chapter.

Mary and her husband, Ryan, were married in 2010. They reside on the north side of Evansville with their two shih tzus, Eevee and Jasper. When she's not practicing dental hygiene or helping at her family's business, Mary enjoys baking, crafting, reading, and traveling.

Katie has been working in the dental field since 2003. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with Associate Degrees in Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Health Services. She has enjoyed her various dental work experiences and is excited to join the team at Franklin Street Dentistry!

Katie and her husband Nick, have been married since 2005 and live on Evansville's west side. They spend much of their time cheering on their children at their various sports and activities. Katie enjoys reading, running, and the beach.

Sara grew up in Henderson, KY and is married to her high school sweetheart Brad. Together they have two dogs, a shih-poo and a black lab. Sara loves running, traveling, playing with her dogs, and spending time with family.

Sloan graduated in 2017 from the University of Southern Indiana. She obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene with an Expanded Functions Dental Assisting certification, and a Local Anesthesia certification.

Sloan is a native of Henderson, Kentucky. She enjoys spending time with her fianc, Gage. Together they have two dogs, Rebel and Nelson. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, waking the dogs, and traveling to new places.

Lauren is from Newburgh, IN and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2018. She obtains her bachelors degree in dental hygiene, expanded functions dental assisting certificate, local anesthetic permit, and CPR certification. She is currently pursuing her masters in health administration at USI.

Paula McDanielhas been in dentistry for over 25 yearsandhas been on our team since 2007. Paula has worked in four different practices and has had a wide range of roles. Her get it done attitude is critical to the efficiency of our office and she excels in her attention to detail on a daily basis. She maintains hernational X-ray certification.

Paula lives in Lynnville with her husband, Tom, whom she married in 1994. They have two sons: Tristen, born in 1996, and Hunter, born in 1998. Paula enjoys managing her Longaberger business and making trips to Patoka Lake but spends most of her spare time following the boys athletic teams.

Nicole graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May of 2015 with an Associate's Degree in Dental Assisting. After graduation she passed all three sections of the DANB exam, giving her the title Certified Dental Assistant. Nicole is also certified in coronal polishing and expanded functions, and she makes sure to stay up-to-date with all of her X-ray certifications and CPR.

Nicole is originally from Boonville, Indiana and is currently living in Evansville. When it comes to activities outside of work, Nicole loves anything and everything to do with the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. She also brings her dog, Bella, with her almost everywhere she goes.

Lisa has been working in dentistry since 2005 and started with our practice in January of 2016. She maintains her X-ray certification and CPR certification and is committed to continuing education courses. Her positive attitude can be infectious around the office!

Lisa and her husband, Scott, havebeen married since 2006. They are both lifetime residents of Evansville and reside on the East side. She has three children, Olivia, Grayson and Waylon, who keep her very busy. She enjoys the outdoors, traveling, camping, volunteering at her church, and surrounding herself with family and friends!

Josie graduated from North Posey High School in 2015. She went on to further her education at the University of Southern Indiana and graduated in May 2018 with an Associate's Degree in Dental Assisting. Dentistry has been a fun experience from day one and the interaction with the patients is just one of her favorite aspects.

Josie and Lucas both their first house in August of 2020. They also added two puppies to the mix, Kilo and Momo! Some of her hobbies include being outdoors, and spending time with her friends, family and especially her cat Dazie!

Connor graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 2014. She went on to further her education in the Vincennes University Jasper Dental Assisting Program, where she completed the course with a 4.0 GPA, while gaining clinical experience. Connor stays up to date on OSHA training, CPR certification, and maintains her Radiography License.

Connor loves spending time outdoors with others reading poetry, and listening to classic music like the BeeGees. Connor can't wait to assist you with all your dental needs and make your experience at Franklin Street Dentistry wonderful!

Lori Kappellhas worked two stints in our office since 1999. She currently serves as an insurance and financial coordinator but also worked as a chairside dental assistant for several years. She has a wide knowledge of dentistry and has worked in the field 20+ years. Lori is committed to the office vision of delivering high quality dentistry with an emphasis on customer service.

Lori and her husband, Dwayne, have been married since 1982. Theyare proud parents of their daughter, Erin, and son-in-law, Brad, who is serving in the United States Marines. Recently Lori was blessed with a grandson and spends as much time as possible with him.

Tamy Smith has worked with our office intermittently since 1997. Tamy earned her dental hygiene degree in 1998 from the University of Southern Indiana, where she was also a cheerleader. Tamys compassion and positive attitude contribute to her goal of making the dental office visit a pleasant experience for all patients.

Tamy resides on Evansvilles West side with her husband, J.D. (married since 1999), and their three daughters: Amity, Avery, and Anika. Her children are very active in gymnastics, basketball, softball, and volleyball. In her limited spare time, she enjoys boating, ATV riding, genealogy research, and spending time with her family and friends.

Rachael has been in and out of the dental field since graduating from Indiana University's Dental Assisting program in 1995. Rachael first worked as an assistant then transitioned to the front office. She has been with our office during two separate stints since 1998.

Rachael has been married to her husband and best friend since 1995. They have three daughters who keep them on their toes! She enjoys her time outdoors maintaining her lawn, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and, most importantly, being MOM to her three girls.

Kristi joined our practice in January of 2017. We were so happy to have her join our team, and she is a great addition to our front desk! Although she is fairly new to the dental field, she has spent the last 14 years on the clerical administrative side of the medical field. We are looking forward to Kristi's future with our office!

Kristi was born and raised on the west side but currently lives in Newburgh with her husband, Greg. Kristi married her sweetheart, Greg, on May 7, 2016. Kristi has three grown children: Emilee, Adam, and Isaac. Her marriage to Greg allowed Kristi to gain five more adult children and nine grandchildren with one more on the way! Kristi 's heart is on the west side, along with the majority of her large family. As the saying goes, 'You can take the girl out of the west side, but you can 't take the west side out of the girl!' She loves to travel, enjoys boating, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. She loves to spend her spare time at the lake, which she refers to as her 'Happy Place!'
