As part of our whole patient care, we follow the American Dental Association (ADA) recommended guidelines for exams and x-rays. According to the ADA, a periodic oral examination including dental radiographs is a recommended part of our long term dental care solution.

We understand that some of our patients may be concerned with the frequency and/or cost of the exams and x-rays. Periodic oral exams and dental radiographs (x-rays) help us evaluate your overall dental health as well as diagnose any conditions that may need attention. Without periodic exams and regular dental x-rays, we cannot provide the best care possible to our patients.

Dr. Winkler completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a B.A. in Psychology in 1992 and received his D.D.S. degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1997. In 1998, he completed his General Dental Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Winkler then joined Franklin Dental Associates in 1998, where he became a partner in 2005. Dr. Winkler is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Metropolitan District Dental Society. He is also a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Tri-County Vocational High Schools Dental Assisting Program. Dr. Winkler resides in Franklin with his wife Amy and their three children.

Dr. Lisa R. Hilpl is a D.M.D. graduate of Tufts School of Dental Medicine and New York Aesthetic Advantage Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry, as well as the UNH Whittemore School of Business and Economics.

Her career has included patient care through general and cosmetic dentistry, and strategic growth management consulting for health care facilities and hospitals throughout New England. In 2009, she won the National Marketing Web Award for her work in communications with the development of an online education media site.

Dr. Lisa is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. She also works with the Complete Mobile Dentistry to provide dental care and exams for the Navy, Marines, Army, and Coast Guard. Dr. Lisa is an avid whitewater rafting boater and enjoys mountain biking, hiking, hunting, and traveling.

Dr. MacKenzie is a 2014 graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he earned the Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. Prior to dental school, he earned his bachelors degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Connecticut College in New London, CT. He has been practicing at Franklin Dental Associates since he finished dental school.

Dr. MacKenzie is a current member of the American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society, where he is a 2019-2020 Guest Member on the Board of Trustees. He is a 2019 Massachusetts Dental Society10 Under Ten Awardhonoree.

He grew up in Walpole, MA, where he now resides with his wife and two children. In his free time, Dr. MacKenzie enjoys spending time with his family, playing drums, podcasts, spin classes, food, sneakers, stand-up comedy, and live music.

Dr. Broess earned his D.D.S. degree at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands before attending Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his orthodontic specialty training and received his D.M.Sc. and D.M.D. degrees. He has served as a Teaching Fellow, Clinical Instructor and Visiting Orthodontic Examiner at Harvard School of Dental Medicine for a total of 16 years. He currently dedicates his full focus to the practice of orthodontics.

A board-certified endodontist, Dr. Usman Fazli is a 2004 graduate of Boston University, Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Rochester, Eastman Dental Center. After five years of practicing as a general dentist, Dr. Fazli decided to return to Boston University to complete a two-year post-doctoral training in Endodontics.

Dr. Fazli practices cutting edge micro-Endodontics using the most contemporary techniques and materials, including the use of a surgical microscope allowing Dr. Fazli to visualize in detail the internal structure of the root allowing him to perform root canals with high precision.

Dr. Fazli is a caring and attentive listener and is a gentle dentist. His background working as a general dentist gives him a real understanding of each patients comprehensive treatment needs. Further, it gives him the ability to pair his expertise in Endodontics with each patients complete oral healthcare needs.

Dr. Kobakov graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he earned the American Society of Anesthesiologist Award for excellence in anesthesia. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Boston University Medical Center, a level one trauma center. His training included extensive experience with dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, and surgical oncology.

Our dental hygienists are all licensed healthcare professionals skilled at providing preventative, educational, and therapeutic dental health services. Their focus is on preventing and treating dental diseases by providing thorough oral care for life-long dental health.
