Dr. Frank Crist attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1990. He also earned his certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in oral biology from UMKC. He has been practicing his specialty, orthodontics, for over 18 years now. A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Crist stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in the orthodontic field by holding memberships in many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the Tweed Study Club of the Midwest. Along with running his own orthodontic practice, Dr. Crist has also been an assistant clinical professor in the graduate orthodontic department of UMKC since 1999. He shares his knowledge with students by teaching the orthodontic residents.

If there was a way to put zero I would. Run far away from the orthodontist. Terrible attitude to kids and doesn't speak with the parent when there is an issue brewing...basically he let my kids teeth rot out without any intervention during the covid mask wearing period even though he was in my kids mouth month after month. Wasn't allowed into office during covid and never once called me in the office to discuss my kids issue. Take your business elsewhere or you will live the nightmare I had to.

He comes off very arrogant and has very poor bedside manner. He did not explain taking off braces, retainers, expectations. It was like he was in a major hurry and could not be bothered by my daughter's visit. He aggressively pulled off her wire, braces, and then scraped off the adhesive residue very aggressively. He probably damaged her teeth from the way he did it. Then he left. I was planning to take my other kids to him, but absolutely NO. He should retire if he has this attitude toward patients and parents.

We just love Dr. Crist, Rhonda and all the lovely ladies (dental asst's). This is our first child to need braces and it's been a great experience! We can't say enough great words!!
