After serving in the Vietnam War, as a medic and a dental technician, he returned to school to study dentistry. He then graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. He also completed a five-year Orthodontic training course of study and has 40+ years of experience in all aspects of Orthopedics and Orthodontics. Then in 1994, he earned aFellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
His desire is to be the best dentist he can be and to constantly strive to give his patients the best care possible. Dr. Bertolini loves restoring smiles. To that end, he is a perpetual student of the science and techniques of dentistry. He does not use an in-house crown-while-you-wait machine because he feels that the crowns they create are not up to his exacting standards as far as fit, color, contour, and ultimately value for his patients. He is continuously striving to better his techniques and approaches to dental challenges.
Dr. Bertolini has vast and varied experience in all aspects of cosmetic dentistry. This gives Dr. Bertolini and his Team the ability to handle the simplest to the most complicated cosmetic smile makeover. On any given day his office may do orthodontics, whitening, sophisticated bonding, veneering, implants, and also crown and bridgework.
Dr. Bertolini is a general dentist who has dedicated much of his 40+ year career on full mouth rehabilitation where health, function, and optimum esthetics are the end goal.If you are a patient of Dr. Bertolini, you know that you are family and are treated as such. Dr. Bertolini has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship distinction in the Academy of General Dentistry. This required Dr. Bertolini to complete a minimum of 500 hours of FAGD- approved continuing education credits and the passage of a comprehensive 400-question examination that covers all aspects of dentistry. This distinction is held by less than 4% of all dentists in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Bertolini follows a lifelong pursuit of postgraduate dental science education to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients. With 1000s of hours of continuing education credits, his patients can be certain that every procedure he does has a solid scientific basis to it.
It is important because it means that with every procedure he does, he bumps that kind of knowledge into it! His maximum effort and care are put into everything he does.And having FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that he cares about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year not every dentist does this.
He is the eternal student in his life-long pursuit to better his techniques and approaches to dental challenges.Dr. Bertolini loves restoring smiles. His background, not only in education but in life experiences, sets him apart. From working terrazzo as a boy and young man to the military experience in health care and the God-given talent that he knows is not given to all. He is very good with his hands and instruments and at intuiting what to do in a specific case. He is very adaptable and good at devising ways to do things better. And he has lots of energy to do it all.
Dr. Bertolini enjoys competitive running. If you run in any local races (in NE Ohio) youll probably see him! You may even see his children, their spouses & some of his grandchildren running also- its a family affair
He spends his free time reading and learning about nutrition and its relationship to your total health. If you are interested, he has a Recommended Reading List to share with you. He also enjoys studying and learning about apologetics and history in general.

I have been a patient of his , since 1980, I believe. He is so kind and listens to everything you have to say. I had a gun problem that specialist wanted to treat with steroids. Dr. Bertolini treat me with deep cleanings vitamins eating correctly and plenty of water. He did an amazing thing for me. Great staff too. Would recommend him ABSOLUTELY.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bertolini. The initial evaluation was so thorough and he was able to identify some issues that have been overlooked by my previous dentist. He was also amazing with my child and again found issues that her previous dentist and her orthodontist had missed. There was never any pressure to do do more work than what I wanted done. The staff is also amazing and they make you feel at ease. They are kind and welcoming and take the time to listen to you and fully explain what is going on. I would highly recommend for any age.

For years i had a special bite guard that also greatly reduced/stopped my snoring, grinding, and waking myself up (sleep apnea sign). It had broken and i began to sleep worse and worse. Dr. Bertolini is amazing in his attention to every detail of my bite, my teeth, and my tmj/snoring/apnea/grinding issue. Very few dentists have ever been so thorough in their treatment. Now that my bite is straightened, I was able to get another, improved bite guard. Within two days, I began to wake up feeling refreshed and alive, not groggy. I no longer needed a caffeinated beverage in the morning and during the day. If you have any of the above symptoms, please consider a Herbst appliance...you won't regret it. I highly recommend Dr. Bertolini and his friendly, knowledgeable staff as a place that looks at the bigger picture, not just a cavity!

Dr. Bertolini and his staff are so patient, and they take the time to explain everything and ask how you're feeling throughout the entire procedure. I have had things done in this office that I know I'd still be putting off if it weren't for Dr. Bertolini and his staff. Highly recommended!

I've been going to Dr. Bertolini for years! Wouldn't trust my teeth to anyone else- braces, cleanings, everything. Very friendly, accommodating staff support the doctor. He genuinely cares about teeth and the individual.
