Here at Framingham Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, PC in Framingham, Massachusetts, our oral surgeon has the experience and expertise to take care of your problem. Dr. Emanuel provides the most advanced proven technology for patients delivered with the old-world style we expect from our doctors.

David M. Emanuel, D. M. D., was raised in Framingham and Southborough, Massachusetts. He attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and earned an AB in chemistry in 1987. Immediately following college, Dr. Emanuel studied at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and received his DMD in 1991.

After serving his residency in general dentistry at Yale-New Haven Hospital, he continued his education at the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he received his MD in 1996. Dr. Emanuel completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Medical Center in 1999.

The residency training included a fully accredited internship and residency with the preliminary transitional full year of experience in general surgery as required in all true disciplines in surgical care today. Dr. Emanuel served as Chief Resident at Jackson Memorial Hospital in his specialty from 1998 to 1999. Since the fall of 1999, Dr. Emanuel has been in private practice here in the Metro West area.

Dr. Emanuel is Board Certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is fully licensed in both dentistry and medicine. Having the unique qualifications to practice in both of these healing arts, he is able to offer comprehensive treatment to patients taking into account both their medical and dental needs. Dr. Emanuel has full hospital and operating privileges at the local community hospitals. When he is not working, Dr. Emanuel and his wife are growing their family right here in the Framingham area.

front desk staff is absolutely horrible. one woman in particular was condescending, rude, and hostile from the moment i walked into the building. i'm sure the oral surgeon is good at what he does, but he made me very uncomfortable at our initial consultation. i will be telling people absolutely do not go here and i will never be returning.

Dr. Emanuel was amazing. Super talented, informed, knowledgeable and kind. I would rate him five stars. The administrative staff is a nightmare which is really unfortunate. Went to pay for my wisdom teeth removal in a state of sedation, me being young and seeing the "tap to pay" on the screen I pulled out apple pay because I wanted to use a credit card I didn't have on me. The woman, I believe her name is Corrinne, literally barked at me and was disgusted that I would even think of attempting to use that form of payment. "It's not set up and it never will be". Okay? Fine, fair, you don't take apple pay but you don't have to be a rude, condescending, witch after I literally just got two teeth ripped from my head.

horrible administrative staff. rude, dismissive and outright disrespectful. Specifically Corrine, it sounds like im not the first to experience. Absurd behavior which is unfortunate as I know the physician is good, I had surgery myself years ago here. Of note- I did speak with one other admin before who was very kind.

This office should get zero stars not even one. I have an infected gum from a cracked tooth and it hurts to talk at times. The staff and surgeon there were the rudest people I have encountered in a medical field. I was told to call my insurance to get my out of pocket expense. I did but they can only go so far with that because they need medical codes and a request for pre estimate from surgeon. When I called this office to tell them I was constantly interrupted never allowing me to finish what Delta Dental of Massachusetts told me. Was yelled at because I do not have a form filled out nor a consultation appt. I asked if I needed to I would make the appt and or come by to fill paperwork out. The employee there said she does not have time for this. I am sorry. You get paid to answer phones and take important info about your patients. Do you think I want to waste my time on the phone making appts when I am in pain and going to lose a tooth? Where is the empathy? I even asked if she wanted my dental insurance she said no. She also said why would she want my dental insurance it's not going to help her. ?? If this place is rude to you when you call to make appts or have general questions do you think they will take care of you when you are under there care getting a tooth removed or cleaned? No. Thank God the dentist gave me option 2 for an oral surgeon. Metro West was very polite and took the time with me knowing I am only calling because I have a cracked tooth with an infected gum knowing that must be painful. Not yelling at me about forms and etc. They took the time to explain to me everything I needed to know because that's their job...to care for people if you don't care nor have the time then you do not need a job in the medical or dental field.

I was trying to get an early appointment for my 90+ mother who was in pain. While I never met Dr. Emmanuel, I found his staff rather condescending and talked over you instead of listening. They may be knowledgeable but if you don't know what the person wants then it doesn't matter. We got a quick appointment at another highly recommended dentist with a polite and patient staff.

As a patient you rely on drs to answer question and ideally you'd like them to be caring and helpful, I went to dr emanuel for a consultation and he wouldn't see me unless I took a new x ray because the one my dentist sent was "over a year old" ..it was 13 months old. insurance only covers this type every 3 years. I agree reluctantly to take the X-ray and probably have to pay out of pocket. When he finally comes in the room he is nothing but rude, quick to cut me off and dismiss my concerns. I left in tears & with no clear answer from the consultation. He could have come in been personable, taken a look, then seen if the x ray was truly necessary that could have given me some comfort at least. Will not be returning

I brought my 11 year old in for some extractions this morning. The ladies at the front desk were both very kind and welcoming, as was the rest of the staff. Dr. Emanuel came out to speak to us when it was over and was also very kind and professional. We will definitely be coming back for any future needs!

Very nice staff and dentist. Worked very professionally and didn't hurt one bit. Explained everything before hand and during the procedure. Couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr Emmanuel.

Dr. Emanuel is extremely professional, personable and knowledgeable. I went to him for a second opinion for an atypical finding. His assessment, evaluation and interpretation of biopsy results put me at ease. His technique for the biopsy resulted in less pain and a faster recovery than the one from my previous provider. I would recommend Dr. Emanuel and will be returning for scheduled follow up appointments.

I've seen Dr. Emanuel for both a tooth extraction and a subsequent tooth implant. I found him to be extremely capable and an expert dentist and surgeon. His office is immaculate, his staff is excellent and works seamlessly with him during any dental procedure. His office is easy to contact for both appointments and any other matters. Dr. Emanuel always explains what he is about to do and what will happen next. I'm very at ease in his office and I know the outcome will always be good. I recommend him highly and will absolutely use him for any future procedures.

Staff is all very helpful & caring. They all are very courteous. Dr.EMANUEL IS AN EXCELLENT ORAL SURGEON & is the only Dr. I would allow to diagnose any of my teeth. He is very, very smart & knows exactly what he is doing. I would highly recommend him & his staff to anybody looking for a great practice to go to Ellen Goodman
