After receiving his BA from Clark University in 1984, Dr. Tutin obtained his DMD from Tufts University School of Dentistry in 1988. Upon graduating, he engaged in private practice while serving as a clinical research instructor at Tufts. Dr. Tutin is active in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Metropolitan District Dental Society, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr. Valerie Smith has been practicing periodontics since 2000. Originally from Philadelphia, she earned her BA in Psychology from Temple University. She then relocated to Boston to attend Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine earning her DMD degree in 1997. From there she attended the Medical College of Virginia where she earned her Certificate in Periodontics in 2000. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Smith started her own periodontal practice in Northern Virginia outside Washington DC in 2001. After practicing there for 8 years, she decided to move back to Boston. It was a great move and she now resides in downtown Boston.
Dr. Smith is active in several dental societies, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Massachusetts Periodontal Society.
Dr. Paulina Muller grew up in Massachusetts and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a minor in Anthropology, from Brandeis University in 2008. She went on to graduate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a D.M.D. in 2012.
Dr. Muller brings her comprehensive dental experience to our practice. She enjoys keeping abreast in the latest dental research and attends numerous continuing education courses. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society.

I've been a patient of Dr. Tutin's for over 10 years now and have never even looked for another provider, even when I lived in Miami. The office staff is always friendly and helpful, the dental hygienists are professional and thorough, and Dr. Tutin always makes time to answer any and all of my questions. My entire family goes here and I can't recommend him enough!

Another excellent experience at Framingham Dental Group. I've been a patient of Dr. Tutin for over 20 years and I've never had a negative thing to say about the level of service or professionalism of Dr. Tutin and the rest of the staff. I used to be local to the area but I now live over an hour away and I still continue to make the drive several times a year to Framingham for both routine and more serious dental issues. They have always managed to fit me in or accommodate my schedule even when I had an issue with my crown hours before I was flying overseas!

I've seen Dr. Tutin and his staff for almost twenty years now and can say I've always had a top-notch experience. The office is welcoming, state-of-the-art, and who doesn't love the fish tank with Dory and Nemo? The staff is always friendly and professional. I look forward to my cleanings as a time I can chill out and relax; not many people say that about their dentist's office!

I have very high anxiety when it comes to any dental procedure due to a childhood bad experience. I must say that after having a treatment at Framingham Dental Group by Dr. Richard Tutin, I won't have sleepless nights anymore before my appointments. He took his time to make me feel safe, explained and narrated every step along the way. Everyone is kind and professional in the office. My hygienist, Angela also does a great job. I can highly recommend this practice.

If there were a higher star rating, I'd use that grade. Framingham Dental Group is a wonderful dentistry practice. Their dentists are knowledgeable and keep the patient aware of each step in a repair and explain the "why's." The support staff is terrific. They have great equipment and technology so can do a lot of work, like crowns, in one visit. They are very responsive to any requests. I wish more medical offices were as well organized and effective as Framingham Dental Group

My wife and I have been going to Framingham Dental Group for over 20 years!! Now my twins go as well! I trust no one else except for Dr. Tutin. Thank you Angela for doing a great job cleaning our teeth and thank you Dr. Tutin for always being there for us!!

Having been to a handful of dentist practices throughout my adult life, I have finally found Framingham Dental and Dr.Tutin. This is is a first class operation with state-of-the-art equipment with an office team that truly knows the business and provides excellent follow-through. The dental hygienists team is excellent and well-trained, and the Dentists are caring, knowledgeable, and have a great "chair-side" manner. Everything is always carefully explained to you, and the options for care are spelled out clearly. Pricing is fair for the high-quality work done, and billing for services and interactions with insurance companies are handled beautifully. This is a gem in Framingham and I highly recommend them to others in the Metro West area.

While I was visiting my family last week, my temporary implant crown broke. I called Framingham Dental Group at 3 PM Friday afternoon and spoke with Irene. Irene was so friendly and said she would fit me into the schedule. Dr. Tutin examined my mouth and put me at ease as I thought I had done significant damage. He crafted a temporary solution until I could see my dentist at home. I am so impressed with the level of service and the compassion shown to me by both Irene and Dr. Tutin. I highly recommend this dental practice!

It's clear Framingham Dental Group operates with honesty. My hygienist did a thorough job and later explained to me why it's important to brush more frequently. All my questions and concerns were answered by Dentist Muller and I felt confident about later steps to take care of my dental health.
