Having been a dentist for ten years, I understand what it is like to be both in the treatment chair and on the side of it! Now more than ever, I think we are appreciating how connected the mouth is to the rest of the body, and my goal is to help you live your best life. I strive to be gentle, kind, and caring, all while diligently providing you the highest quality dental care possible. I will take the time to listen to your unique concerns and expectations and will help you in all possible ways to maintain your health and your smile.
I grew up in a small town on the coast of Maine and I completed my dental education in Boston at Tufts University. My love for the mountains and the big Western skies grew after completing post-graduate studies at the University of New Mexico. Since then, Ive completed hundreds of hours of continuing education connecting the mouth to the whole body. This includes everything from nutrition to sleep and breathing! I strive to be on the cutting edge with techniques, technology, and the latest evidence-based research.
My dedication to airway development and infant lip and tongue ties began with my own son when I was able to watch him blossom and thrive immediately following his own simple tongue tie procedure. I am a certified Invisalign provider and hold a certificate from the American Board of Laser Surgery for Laser Dentistry. I have additional training in cosmetic dentistry, root canals (endodontics), dental implant placement and restoration, family dentistry, invisalign, occlusion and TMD, root canal, soft tissue grafting, oral surgery, and dental sleep medicine.
When Im not at the Lakewood, Colorado dental clinic or listening to dental podcasts, youll likely find me out running the trails and training for marathons, drinking coffee (try Hello coffee down the block), baking healthy (and unhealthy) treats, golfing, listening to live music, and spending time dressing my babies and dog in ridiculous costumes.
Dr. Elizabeth Turner has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education connecting the mouth to the whole body. Your oral health is directly tied to your overall health and it is her goal to provide information on prevention first so people can live happier healthier lives.
Its her passion to not only educate her direct patients on the importance of functional dentistry but also provide education through training and podcasts to reach people outside of the Lakewood, Colorado area.

Many of the current Fox Point Dental may have already found this message in your mailbox, as we mailed it to each of you in an effort to help spread our good news! If you havent opened your letter yet, here goes
We are pleased to share the news that after 27 years as owner of Fox Point Dental, as of November 13, 2020, Dr. Baldwin will be transferring ownership of our Lakewood dental practice to Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Turner. We have searched for the right person to take over your dental care and we believe we have found that person in Dr. Turner. Dr. Turner has the skill and experience, a similar dental philosophy to ours, and the ability to help ensure you receive quality dentistry as you have become accustomed to over these many years.
Dr. Turner could not be more excited to care for you and your families. She is a graduate of Tufts Dental School in Boston and finished her residency at the University of New Mexico. She has also completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in all aspects of dentistry. She is originally from Maine, but has strong ties to Minnesota and Wisconsin (Go Packers!) The last ten years of Dr. Turners career have shaped her into the provider she is now. She focuses on quality, comprehensive, preventative dental care for the entire family. She enjoys working with everyone from newborn babies to those in their later years of life. Dr. Turner has three babies; a 2.5 year old boy Paxton, a 6 month old girl Payton, and Bucky, a 4 year old pug dog. She and her husband Mike relocated to Colorado from Minnesota to be close to family. They have enjoyed the sunshine and all sorts of outdoor activities (golf, running, hiking) that make Colorado one of the best places to call home. Dr. Turner and her family cant wait to meet you all and they welcome all of your favorite green chile recipes as it is one of their favorite discoveries about Colorado! We know that she will treat you with the same kindness we have!
Your support of Dr. Turner and referrals to her would be the ultimate compliment to us. Your dental records will remain with the practice and she welcomes the opportunity to meet each of you during your next visit. We consider it our office because one can only practice quality dentistry with quality people on the staff. Lisa and Kelsie will be staying to assist Dr. Turner. PJ will be retiring and will miss her friendships with all of you. You may see Dr. Baldwin around once in a while as he completes some of the treatment he has already started. Change is both necessary and inevitable, but we believe that this change will be almost unnoticeable. You will still receive the highest quality of dental care and personalized service with a smile and laughter! Dr. Turner will care about you as we have cared for you. We have been honored and privileged to be your choice for dental care all these years. It has given us great satisfaction to work with each and every one of you for a number of generations! We are so pleased to be able to leave you all in such good hands with Dr. Turner.

Dr. Turner and the team at Fox Point Dental are phenomenal. I've spent plenty of time in the dentists chair and Dr. Turner and Sylvia made the process of getting two crowns at once comfortable and were very understanding when I needed a break during the process. When I returned for the permanent crowns Kelena was so gentle when getting the permanent crowns to fit just right, this could have been an uncomfortable process but Kelena made it so easy. Dr. Turner was honest from the start about the possible outcomes of my two teeth that needed work done and was able to support me when I had some pain while waiting for the permanents She also made sure the new crowns fit just right before I left. I highly recommend Fox Point Dental!

I had the best experience here! We were referred by our daughters pediatrician for a tongue tie, Dr. Turner and her lovely assistants took the time to explain everything to us and did the procedure that day. It's been about six days and I've already noticed a huge change in my daughter. She's less fussy less gassy and overall a happier baby. I will say I did feel a little rushed sometimes, and when I texted the office I never received a message in return. Dr. T send out her personal phone number a few days after my baby's appointment so I was able to reach her that way. Thanks Fox Point Dental!

Dr. Turner is an amazing provider. She has seen all three of my children for general check-ups, as well as concerns with tethered oral tissues, airway development, and early palatal expansion. As a speech-language pathologist, I frequently refer clients to her for concerns with orofacial development, maximizing airway, and tethered oral tissues. She is fantastic with children and adults and able to explain complicated concepts with ease. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Turner is the best. She's very knowledgeable about all oral function. We saw her for our newborn's tongue and lip tie and she did a fabulous release and walking us through aftercare with empathy and great detail.

Dr. Turner is hands down the best pediatric dentist in south Denver!!! I've seen several for my kids over the years and I have never felt more compassion and care than I did at Fox Point Dental. I felt heard and empowered to make the best decision for my breastfeeding baby who was diagnosed failure to thrive. Dr. Turner wasn't just about treatment as a transaction but making sure we were successful breastfeeding long term. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Turner is amazing! She fixed my 30+ year old bridge that my previous dentist refused to touch. She is sensitive to financial concerns and makes dentistry as affordable as possible. She is always on time and makes you comfortable and "feel at home".

Where can I start? Firstly Liz and her own amazing team and any referrals she makes are just going to be a winning team. You can't go wrong and you will want to bring your whole family to her. Immediately. I have never been to a dentist that knows how to communicate dentistry to their patients in such a technical way, and with enough detail but in such a way she makes it easy to understand. She is so passionate about what she does, and so very thoughtful and respectful of the route you might want to take (ie more homeopathic etc.). She'll customize your treatment to any goals you have- homeopathic to traditional western- she's so extremely knowledgeable about all levels. Here's the situation: I had a tooth that had a root canal 10 years ago that got a cavity under the crown and my gums were in terrible shape around this tooth (I had no idea, I didn't feel a thing). I came across Liz at the right time, and I am so very glad that I did. I switched to her practice after getting my second opinion from her- she really spent the time to describe to me the different approaches and the different potential outcomes. She and her team made sure that we had a solid plan to give this tooth the best chance of survival (and by the looks of it, you wouldn't think it could have been saved). She worked with SUCH precision, and such a steady hand- I felt confident the whole way though the first portion of the procedure (getting the cavity filled and gum infection lasered)) - She truly LISTENED to my concerns and addressed each one... and took the extra time to ensure that the cavity and surrounding gums were properly prepared for the next step (a root canal re-treat). Liz's referral to Dr. Soden (Endodontist) was another great one and he also worked to really make sure a thourough job was performed on this poor tooth that we were not sure could be saved. It's been ore than 6 months post root-canal and my tooth and gums feel fantastic- if we've given a few more years of life to my tooth that means it's a huge win, no implant, and I think we are well on our way to this! Thank you Liz, for taking the time, detail, doing this with such precision and saving my tooth!
