The practice of Kevin Theiss, DMD, strive to provide quality dentistry for patients of all ages. We offer a wide range of dental services, including preventative, cosmetic, restorative, and surgical procedures. It's our goal to create a patient-centered practice, while providing a comfortable and positive environment for our patients. Our office is dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art dental care with advanced materials and techniques in the dental field today.
Dr. Kevin Theiss was raised in Collinsville, Illinois, a town close to St. Louis. After high school, he attended Illinois State University, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Theiss attended dental school at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, where he received the award for Fixed Prosthodontics from the Department of Restorative Dentistry and successfully completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
When he isn't practicing dentistry, Dr. Theiss enjoys spending quality time with his family, biking, running, exercising in general, sports, hiking, playing the guitar, traveling, cooking, reading, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks.

Always a thorough briefing from a pleasant office staff to greet me when I arrive for my appt. Then my technician comes to escort me to my private room and makes sure I am comfortably ensconced in the chair, tilted just right for an aching tailbone, special shades to protect my eyeglasses or just eyes from debris or powerful exam lighting, clamp on a tissue bib, and time with the most accommodating assistants in dentaldom! The X-rays are carefully taken and positioned with time being of the essence- they know it's uncomfortable and unnatural for something that size to fit in your mouth for very long. They are always prompt, right on target, and sensitive to your tolerance level. Whether it's cleaning, a procedure, or exam, you can count on state of the art equipment, blown up looks at the offending tooth or cracks in the filling. You are seeing the work that needs to be done and it can be eye opening what has been happening in your mouth while you have been chomping popcorn and sucking Jolly Ranchers! I trust my dentist, his technicians, his office staff with a very sensitive important part of my body that I could not do without. My smile, my breath because of dental hygiene, the way I chew food, the way I feel about eating all rest in his hands and that is a big decision for me to make about who to place my sensitive social appearance responsibility with. I want a dentist who is up on the latest techniques, who is aware how sensitive the nerves in the mouth are, who values me as his/her patient, who sees the problems before they become critical and I have all of that in Dr Thiess. I highly recommend this office, these techs, this set of Dentists, and their practice to trust your oral hygiene needs to. They care about getting that last little bit of plaque between your teeth, Watch that crack that's developing due to old fillings pulling away after 40 years. They make your mouth their business and concentrate 100% on your oral hygiene so you feel like a million bucks when you walk out of there safely situated with filled cavities, crowns that will last a lifetime, and X-rays to problem solve before the damage can be done. I like that in a dentist, don't you?

I'm a new patient and booked online for my first appointment. Received a call to reschedule as there was a conflict the day I booked. The woman on the phone was having issues with the computer so I decided to book my appointment online. Booked successfully and received confirmation. Showed up for my appointment and I was not on their schedule for the day (even though I had the confirmation email to show). For some reason they had me down for a completely different month. They were not able to accommodate me so unfortunately had to leave and not sure if I will be back

I had a great time today at Fox Lake Dental! I had a different hygienist this time, and she was amazingly friendly and helpful (and cleaned my teeth very well)! I'm glad I had another great appointment this afternoon!

Awesome staff and experience. The hygienist and doctor are very thorough and they educate you throughout your experience. I recently had a dental cleaning/exam at my primary dentist office and was unaware of everything that Fox Lake Dental Care brought to my attention. I would highly recommend this office!

My mom came here for an insurance covered preventative exam. They snuck in an unnecessary X-ray without letting her know, which wasn't covered by insurance, to make more money. They are crooks.

This was my first visit and I found the experience to be totally professional and friendly. The exam was comprehensive which detected a couple of issues that my previous dentist had missed. The hygienist was friendly but not overly talkative, a quality I liked very much. Her technique was spot on and I felt that I was in good hands. Dr P. has a calming influence while he explains next steps to correct an issue.. I am pleased to be a new patient and look forward to getting my issues corrected.

Cannot recommend Fox Lake Dental enough. I am 31 weeks pregnant and had a cracked tooth that desperately needed a crown. They made sure I was comfortable during the whole procedure and let me take breaks when needed. They were so kind from the minute I walked in to the minute I left. I've never been a fan of the dentist but this place actually makes the whole experience enjoyable!

Fox Lake Dental is the best. I never sit in the waiting room and when I go in I always have a great experience. They ask me how I'm doing and if I have any new issues. They are genuinely concerned for my health. I would recommend them to anyone.
