I began my journey into orthodontics growing up in Houston, Texas as the son of an engineer just a few miles away from Johnson Space Center. After an amazing four years at Vanderbilt University, I took my degree in biomedical engineering back to NASA where I worked as a flight controller in mission control. I loved working with a brilliant team using the worlds most advanced technology to send men and women into space.
In order to pursue my goal of becoming an orthodontist, I attended the Medical College of Virginia, where in 2005, I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and graduated magna cum laude. I gained acceptance into the OKU national dental honor society. I continued on at the Medical College of Virginia, and earned my Master of Science in orthodontics and dentofacialorthopedics in 2007.
I use my invaluable experience at NASA every day in my practice to apply a sophisticated team approach, and use the most innovative orthodontic technologies to create beautiful smiles and healthy bites for my patients.
While giving my patients beautiful smiles, I enjoy the relationships that I build with them and their families. Living, working, and raising children in Franklin, I have the pleasure of seeing my patients on the softball field, at violin recitals, and at church on Sunday morning. I live in an amazing community and I am honored to give back as a sponsor for our local schools and sports teams, and by giving orthodontic treatment to children in need through the Interfaith Dental Clinic.
I am very fortunate to have brilliant colleagues that meet regularly to discuss the best treatments for our patients in my local dental study club. I also serve as an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, where you can find me teaching Sunday school.
When Im not in the office, my amazing wife Mary and I love listening to our beautiful daughters, Claiborne and Macon, play violin. In the fall, we can be found down on West End cheering on the Vanderbilt Commodores!

Our office is nestled among many neighborhoods and schools. It is common to find friends and neighbors in our colorful, comfortable reception area enjoying a cup of coffee and visiting with each other. In our open office environment, parents are welcome to join their children in the treatment area at any time.
Our one-doctor, one-location practice allows Dr. Fowler and our team to focus on serving our patients in the most personalized manner. Each patient receives an individualized diagnosis and treatment plan to obtain a beautiful smile. Dr. Fowler places the brackets during the initial bonding and maintains a hands-on approach throughout the treatment. He believes that the key to a good orthodontic outcome is communication, and is committed to guiding you and your child through every step of the orthodontic treatment process.
With more than 60 years of combined experience, Dr. Fowler and our team use the best products to achieve the greatest aesthetic finish for your treatment. We are the sole provider of Damon Smile in Williamson County, and our use of soft tissue lasers shortens treatment time by as much as six months.
Our state-of-the-art technology is also eco-friendly! We utilize a steam sterilizer and digital X-rays, which eliminates the majority of hazardous chemicals used in traditional dentistry. We also use digital charting, which means no paper waste!

I am an adult patient who went to this practice for Invisalign. I was given incorrect information after the initial consult, resulting in out-of-pocket expenses of several thousand dollars more than what was quoted. I swallowed the cost because I had already ordered the Invisalign and basically had to move forward. Part of the treatment plan was supposed to include whitening and cosmetic adjustment so my teeth would ultimately be even as well as straight. I was willing to move forward but had a sour taste of how things would proceed. I have been, admittedly, a patient who frequently changes/ moves appointments. Invisalign success requires compliance of 22 hours per day, and i have not always fully complied. Here's where the problem comes in: Dr. Fowler is an arrogant, sickeningly insincere person who seems to truly believe that the two minutes of time he spends checking my "progress" at appointments is, to quote him directly, "an incredible commitment" from him. It's laughable. I have paid for a revision of my original aligners, due my own lax compliance, which was totally fine. Today, when i went in to see what our next steps would be, this man took me into a side consultation room with the demeanor of HR in preparation for termination. He was clearly annoyed and short-tempered. When I asked reasonable questions about duration of revision treatment, his mask dropped and his nasty disposition came out. I actually appreciated this after months of his nauseatingly creepy behavior. He accused me of belligerence, which seemed odd since he was yelling and I was seeking clarity. Ultimately, I told him I would not be continuing treatment with his practice. Unfortunately, he left the glued-on attachments on my teeth, so i will have to figure out how to get a new practice to finish the work he couldn't. Overall, I couldn't be less satisfied. Dr. Fowler is an ill-tempered, frustrated person who made my experience very uncomfortable. i paid his practice 5k, but the monetary loss is far less concerning that the way this practice operates.

We love Fowler orthodontics! My daughter and I both received our orthodontic treatment with Dr. Fowler and he went above and beyond. Now my son is receiving his orthodontic treatment with Dr. Fowler. They are so incredibly kind and provide excellent care. I had 3 consults with other area orthodontic practices before choosing Fowler and I'm so glad we chose this practice.

We were scheduled to have a consultation and I had accidentally written down the wrong time. Someone from the front desk called at our scheduled time and I gave her a call right back. When I told her of my mistake she responded with, "uuuuuuugggghhh, Natasha!" Yes, I made the mistake! But this was my first impression of a place that I'm going to come and invest a lot of time and money and that is not the way I would want to be treated. I heard great things about this practice and they even have a 5 star review here on Google. I was hopeful! But we have consulted with another orthodontist that was much more kind and helpful. Unfortunately, they just lost an opportunity with 2 CASH paying patients.

Dr. Fowler is an exceptional orthodontist and his entire staff is amazing as well! Dr. Folwler's attention to detail , and expertise shines through in the quality and outcome of his work. I appreciate that he is methodical in his treatment plan and that he is not quick to rush anything with treatment until he is absolutely sure it's the only route that can be taken! Our daughter has the most beautiful smile now thanks to Dr.Fowler!! I will 100% recommend him to anyone asking for a referral to an Orthodontist.
