Dr. Johnson was raised in Fort Collins, CO and he graduated from Colorado State University in 1984. He then matriculated through the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, Creighton University School of Medicine, and completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty training at the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Johnson spent an additional 18 months of training in General Anesthesia. Currently, Dr. Johnson is the only dental specialist in Durango who is licensed to provide General anesthesia to his patients.
Dr. Johnson started his private practice in Durango in 1997. He has the experience of over 15,000 cases of IV General Anesthesia in his office for the extraction of teeth, wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants, management of facial accidents, and dental infections.
With 18 years of Dental Implant experience, Dr. Johnson has the knowledge to meet your implant needs. He works in conjunction with your General Dentist to formulate a treatment plan that can meet your functional, as well as your financial needs. Dr. Johnson has the most reasonably priced dental implants in the Four Corners Region. If you choose to have your Dental Implants placed by Dr. Johnson, there is no additional fee for General Anesthesia.

As a former Big Brother, Dr. Johnson regularly donates to the Big Brothers and Sisters of Southwest Colorado. He has donated his services to the United Way annual fall Radiothon since 1997, and makes financial contributions to various schools in the Durango area.

My son had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted. The staff and MD explained everything very well pre and post op and the surget6went very well with no complications as of 3 days post op.

I'm so very terrified of any dental stuff I had two broken teeth in the very back that need extracted long story short very nice staff and oral surgeon! Had to have iv to be knocked out that didn't even hurt next thing I knew my mom and grandmother where in front of me say jaymie it's over! I was so confused I was like whatttt went sooo fast it's now the next day don't really feel much pain I pretty much feel great and glad it's over!! If your scared I hope you find comfort in knowing this place will take good care of you and it will be over before you know it!

Staff very friendly, helpful and understanding. Dr explained my son the process and after surgery care.. loved this place ! I totally recommend it! When I had my wisdom teeth out they weren't as nice hahahha

Every person I came into contact with in the Four Corners Oral Surgery office are very caring and professional. This is my third visit to have surgery. Each time has been a very positive experience. One of my sons has also had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Johnson. That too was a positive experience for him. They also take care to thoroughly inform the person picking up the patient after their surgery. Great people, great care!! Thank you!

They were very gentle! I had to get a tooth pulled and the worst part was having the gauze in my mouth! Everyone is great...assistant, front desk! I would recommend!

Needed an extraction that had gone from bad to worse quickly. Got my appt moved up 3 days, Dr and staff were excellent. Never even took A pain killer after. Highly recommend.
