Awful experience! Just awful! I was referred to this clinic by a co-worker who highly recommended Fountaingrove Dentistry and suggested I make an appointment with Dr. Temnitzer, which I did. My co-worker specified, "Don't see Dr. Anderson, just Temnitzer. Okay. Noted! First of all, when I initially called their clinic, I asked the receptionist, Felix, if they were in my dental insurance network, Ameritas. Felix replied, "Yes we are." Had Felix said, "No, we are not", I would have said, "Okay, thank you. Have a good day" and continued searching for a clinic within my network. But he said "Yes". So, I explained my situation, that I have significant dental phobia related to a childhood trauma, that I am a travel nurse from Montana on work assignment, and I had a crown pop off while eating a piece of toffee. I was able to clean it and pop it back on, but I called my dentist's office in Montana and was told I should be seen by a dentist in Santa Rosa, even though I was not experiencing any pain. I specified to Felix I wanted to see Dr. Temnitzer and Felix said I could be seen in 3 days. Great! I made the appointment, went online and completed the new patient paperwork. I arrived 10 minutes early. When called back to the exam room, a very nice young man expressed empathy as I explained my extreme anxiety. I was reclined in the chair, the bib placed, and the tears started to flow. Sorry, I said. Can't help it. No worries, he said. (No sobbing, just tears flowing into my ears). The dental assistant ("Nick"? I can't remember, I was soooo nervous!) was unable to remove the crown and asked, "Are you sure it's the bottom right?" I looked at him, not pleased, and said, "Positive. It's MY mouth!" He then said he was going to go get Dr. Temnitzer and be right back. Imagine my surprise when a woman walks into the room and says, "Hi, I'm Dr. Anderson." That is the moment I should have said, "Whoa! Hold it! I specifically asked for Dr. Temnitzer!" But I said nothing. I was too scared. Dr. Anderson was also unable to remove the crown, also asked, "Are you sure it's the bottom right?" Seriously?!! Do you see any other crowns on the bottom? She replied, "Well no, but I do see one on the upper right." So..... she thinks I'm too stupid to know which crown came off. She then explains she is going to try to lift it off with a tool, and shows me the tool, a miniature metal ice pick! She fails to remove the crown, but scratches it and I can feel it with my tongue... No problem, she can buff that out she tells me. Which she does. My heart rate is about 140 by then. She then very politely suggests I come back to the office if I'm having any pain and they will get me right in. I get out of the chair, go out to the receptionist, Felix, who says, "We are not actually in the Ameritas network. So today's charge will be $113 and we will send a claim to Ameritas and they will send you a check." I remain calm, but ask, "113?! For what? A bib and a tissue? She didn't do anything except scratch my tooth!" Well, he says, that is the charge for a basic exam. So I slowly shake my head and insert my credit card. Then Felix says, "So, you'll call us if you're experiencing any pain." I said, "Ohhh, I'm not coming back." Obviously this clinic has no concept of "Dental Anxiety" or what it means to the patient." Meanwhile, I am flying home to Bozeman to see my dentist, Dr. Tanguay at Mint Dental. I recommend Dr. Anderson and her team go to Mint Dental in the very near future and learn what excellence in dentistry is all about! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you, Dr. Temnitzer. You were highly recommended!

I am beyond grateful to have found Dr. Heather Anderson, and the caring and capable team at Fountaingrove Dentistry. Dr. Anderson is intelligent, highly skilled, open, warm, and humble; what a combo! When I moved to Santa Rosa, I needed to find a skillful dentist right away. Despite diligent and daily oral health care, my teeth had been progressively deteriorating over many years of eating a diet full of sugar, acid reflux and tension causing nightly teeth grinding. Even after wearing a night guard for years, my teeth were progressively wearing away. My dentist in Chicago gave me little hope for restoring my teeth. She told me that soon, I would need root canals, implants or crowns. I didn't want to lose my natural teeth. I had nightmares about this. On my first visit to Fountaingrove Dentistry, a full evaluation was done of my dental health, including photos and measurements of gum health. From there, hope turned into trust when I began regular 6-month dental cleanings with gentle and skilled dental hygienists. At each visit, they taught me how to more effectively care for my oral health. Dr. Anderson monitored my progress and understood my desire to take a conservative approach in any kind of dental treatment. I had several cavities filled successfully during this time. Still, after 4 years of regular check ups, since I had lost enamel, my teeth had become so worn down that I was at the point of no return. Action was needed. Dr. Anderson said she had spent time thinking about my case and talking with peers and now could recommend a clear and well-designed 8-month plan for restoring my teeth, naturally. She said it would work and I believed her! This plan employed wearing Invisalign braces to train my teeth over 8 months into proper position to make space for lengthening each tooth in my mouth with composite material without reducing or removing my natural teeth. In the final phase of the plan, I sat in the dentist chair for 6 hours on each of two days with rest breaks when we needed them. Dr. Anderson and Vanessa, her skillful Assistant, meticulously and with great focus and synchronized teamwork, rebuilt each tooth by hand. Dr. Anderson used special molds of my teeth that were constructed using digital photos to inform ad guide her precise sculpting and selected the correct tooth color for the composite material to match the color of my natural teeth. When I first looked at myself in the mirror after Dr. Anderson and Vanessa had finished, I cried, overcome with gratitude and joy. I hadn't realized how I had been hiding my smile and how negatively I had felt about myself for a long time because of how my teeth looked and felt. Dr. Anderson created a masterpiece inside my mouth! My dental make-over is complete. I now have strong, beautiful, straight, naturally protected teeth and a bright and big smile. The entire Fountaingrove Dentistry team was with me on this journey of healing. We all celebrated together. A few days after my dental make-over, a mysterious and magnificent floral arrangement arrived on my doorstep with a heart-felt message from the whole team. Cora, Fountaingrove Dentistry's wonderful Office Manager, had arranged this surprise. Every Fountaingrove Dentistry team member provides quality of care in the way they greet me personally when I arrive, schedule new visits, file my insurance claims, remind me more than once about upcoming appointments, make sure my questions are answered, and always make me feel comfortable. Fountaingrove Dentistry is family to me.

This is a good dentist's office. We had a great dentist before moving out of state and struggled to find a place that had equivalent quality and bedside manor. The team here is great at explaining what's going on with your teeth and making you feel comfortable with the dental plan, as well as making you feel comfortable during the procedure. Before coming here I had been to a dentist who gave me a filling that caused me pain for 10 months after the procedure. I have never had anything like that here, and having had a follow-up filling here, have complete faith in Dr. Anderson's abilities. My only comment would be that one of the hygenists was not quite as attentive to my pain. Even so, I would happily recommend this place.

Dr Ulf Temnitzer destroyed my smile , my upper teeth are crowded and misaligned ever since he adjusted a bridge I had for many years that never bothered me until he did that. He put me through H*!! when it happened, in Mill Valley, saying I was imagining it. Do not trust him with your well being .

Fountaingrove Dentistry is hands down the most innovative and skilled dental office. I have gone through just about every procedure: Invisalign, fillings, bone graft, implant, 10 BEAUTIFUL COSMETIC VENEERS and soon to have my implant crown finished in January. Dr Erlach and his awesome assistants Jackie and Gina have made my implant journey a painless, enjoyable and educational experience! Dr Erlach's gifted expertise and mastered skills have enabled me to finally have a tooth where I had been born with out one! Dr Anderson has beautifully transformed my smile into one that people dream of! Through Invisalign (clear aligned braces) and the most beautiful and natural looking cosmetic veneers she has taken my narrow arched, over bite smile, corrected it, and changed my smile with her tooth fairy magic! Nick and Vanessa were the nicest and most caring assistants and took care of me with every appointment I needed and always explained each step in depth and made me completely understand what would happen and what to expect. I have never been this happy with how my teeth look, the color of my teeth and how they fit together! I have a dream smile and Dr Anderson made my dreams come true!

I just finished my successful, implant procedure (1st one). Dr. Robert Erlach & Heather Anderson is intelligent, gentle, caring, very good at explaining the procedure step by step. I will have this tooth & this office for the rest of my life! I would consider this procedure instead of repeat root canal procedures on the same old tooth. Fits right in and functional tooth again. The shade is so close, you would never know it was a manufactured crown( great lab work also).

I had 5 fillings done by Dr. Anderson, all in one sitting. She did an awesome job, it didn't take long, and was completely painless. One filling was of particular importance to me: it was done two other times, each in an attempt to fix the previous filling that was causing me pain when chewing/biting down and trouble flossing between it and neighboring teeth. She fixed it! It is less bulky and feels like my natural tooth. I can floss better now and so far no pain. So pleased with the results. Dr. Anderson followed up with me later that day to check how my teeth were. Really top notch patient care. I also really appreciate how helpful the office is at accommodating schedule changes and handling insurance billing. I highly recommend Fountaingrove Dentistry.
