Dr. Fotini Chrisopoulos has spent her life achieving excellence, with numerous awards, honors and distinctions during her career. She graduated first from Dental School in Greece & received numerous awards for academic excellence upon completion of her studies. Prior to attending her advanced 3 years specialty training at prestigious Columbia University she worked as a dentist for the Greek Military National Guard in Thessaloniki Greece. After graduating from Columbia with honors and receiving her Masters of Science degree in Prosthodontics, she continued with her surgical implant training at University of Maryland School of Dentistry, the world`s first dental school. She was the chief fellow during her Implant Periodontal Prosthodontics Fellowship and was trained to surgically place implants.
Up to today, Dr Chrisopoulos has been rated by her patients and fellow dental colleagues as one of the Top 10 Prosthodontists and Dentists in the Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia and Top USA Dentist in 2017.

Dr. Fotini is the best dentist I ever went to! She is highly skilled and very knowledgeable. I came in with huge pain in my gum teeth, not knowing what to do after seeing so many doctors. Even though it was end of her day, she took time to do full check up, explain what is going on and give me proper diagnose. I was very happy with the results. In just few days I was fully recovered! I highly recommend Dr. Fotini, she is doing amazing job!

Dr. Chrisopoulos is an experienced and distinguished dentist who evaluated my situation and provided a treatment plan which went over with me in detail. I didn't feel pressured at any point and I ended up having the treatment. It was painless, we were able to finish a complicated case in just a few weeks, I got back my smile and the final results exceeded my expectations!

Dr. Chrisopoulos is an artist - she removed and fixed old bonding I had to restore the tooth and ensure it matched my other teeth as well. Totally changed my smile! She is very thoughtful, detail oriented, and diligent in her work! She explains the process and asks for your input along the way.

Dr.Fotini saved me after I got a mouth full of replacement teeth an overseas prosthodontist. She had provided a treatment plan and cautioned me that there are no shortcuts. After returning she agreed to work with me to correct my "discounted" work. She was entirely sympathetic and worked very diligently to reshape my teeth and restore my bite. Her lovely disposition, great patience, and superior knowledge makes for the finest work and is worth every penny.

Dr. Fotini is a great dentist. I went to her needing significant work after postponing treatment much longer than I should have. Dr. Fotini is a remarkable Dentist. I was absolutely terrified of the dentist and had been avoiding it for years. I finally decided enough was enough and I needed to go in for an exam. I explained to Dr Fotini my fears and she accommodated me without any issue. The end result of the consult was that I needed quite a few fillings and an extraction. My goal was to get everything done in one appointment. So I opted for deep sedation and Dr Fotini did everything that needed to be done to my teeth while I was under. Today, nearly 2 weeks later I am fully recovered. My molars aren't flat anymore and I no longer have any pain. My teeth look so much better and they feel amazing! Her work has improved my quality of life tremendously. If you're reading this and are hesitant of going to the dentist because you're scared... Go see Dr. Fotini!!!

It was very clear to me early on, when I first consulted her for my first tooth, that Dr. Chrisopoulos is exceptionally skilled. Not at all surprised she been in the Washingtonians list of top dentists since 2019. Their rating certainly corresponds with my experience with her as well. The only thing that surpasses her technical abilities is her humanness. I've gladly traveled long distances to have her work on my teeth and will continue to do so. I came to Dr Fontini with hopes to improve my smile about 3 months before my wedding. She was able to quickly create a treatment plan and was very accommodating to ensure my treatment was completed on time. I received my final veneers a month before the big day, and they look amazing. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr Fontini and the staff at Avanti. Everyone is extremely professional, personable, and highly experienced. I needed to get my front crown re-done after a previous dentist did a rush job that left me self conscious about my smile. Dr Fontini took such great care of me; knowing that I had had a bad experience, she let me take my time with the process and took a very customized approach to make sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Even the staff at Avanti took care of me- they checked on me the day after all my appointments. The crown turned out fantastic. I was expecting a better outcome this time around but wasn't expecting the crown to look as perfect as it does... I'm truly amazed! I finally have my smile and my confidence back.
