Dr. Cory Fortson is a third-generation dentist following the career of his Grandfather and Father. Fortson Family Dentistry was started over 30 years ago by Dr. Raymond Fortson, Jr., who went by 'Bo'.
Dr. Cory Fortson joined Dr. Bo in the practice in 2014 after graduating from The University of Detroit Mercy Dental School and took over the practice when Dr. Raymond Fortson, Jr. passed in 2016. The team members at Fortson Family Dentistry pride themselves on the family atmosphere they've created for their patients as well as team members.
Fortson Dentistry has grown to 5 locations with the addition of the Gentle Touch and Milford practices in 2021. Our goal at Fortson Dentistry is to provide top comprehensive dental care within our group practice. In addition to our hygiene patients and routine procedures, we take on more complex procedures such as oral surgery, bone grafts, sinus lifts, braces and Invisalign, endodontics, and dental implants and we have skilled doctors to perform these procedures in-house in most cases. Currently, all specialty services are performed out of our Lathrup Village - South and Milford offices.
Fortson Family Dentistry utilizes top diagnostic technology to provide the best possible care for our patients. We utilize a Vatech Green CT, a Dental Cone-Beam CT scanner, which has improved its x-ray sensors to create high-quality images with a relatively low dose of radiation. Used in tandem with advanced 3D Imaging Software; our Doctors get a detailed look at your overall dental health.
We also use various Intraoral scanners such as the Medit i500 and iTero to create digital impressions of your oral anatomy for crowns and clear aligners. These scanners are more efficient and accurate than traditional impression molds, so you can start your treatment sooner.

Everyone is always so friendly and providing exceptional customer service. There are no long waits in the waiting room and they are impressively clean. I see Dr Waller who is very gentle. She has pulled my wisdom teeth which were jam packed in my mouth. I never felt anything. They constantly ask if you are ok. Even the hygienist is exceptional. They also moisturize your lips as they are working in your mouth so your lips don't get dry or crack. Most all, Dr Waller examines all around you mouth- - the roof, under the tongue, inside jaws and back of the throat. This is a wonderful place with wonderful people. I dare you to try Dr Waller.

The Staff was personable and friendly from reception to service. The hygienist was considerate of my overall health, professional, and friendly. I will definitely recommend the Fortson Dental Offices to others. Dr. Waller is wonderful! She is compassionate and professional. She has a wonderful manner was the the disability community as well! The ladies were great, 5 minute wait time. Very knowledgeable, gentle and completed the job in a timely fashion. There is one thing I didn't like, they have 2 offices with the same name, one block away from each other. I always pick the wrong one.

Dr Waller has made going to the dentist a pleasant experience for me. She has such a calming voice and she explains everything to me so that I understand and that helps me with my anxiety and to have a better dental experience.
