Of all the "medical" stuff you have to endure, especially as you get older, dental treatments are my least favorite. I'm sure I am not alone with these feelings. But trust me, Dr. Richard Cutler and Ft. Washington Periodontics are clearly the exception. Dr. Cutler and his staff are personable, super-skilled and professional, always explaining every process and easing any fears. I started here a while back as a general periodontal patient to monitor and correct my gum issues and for regular deep cleanings by Karen, the hygienist. Frankly, I cannot believe any review which claims problems from a dental cleaning at this office as Karen is by far the best dental cleaner and scaler I have ever experienced. When she's finished, my teeth are perfectly clean and my gums don't even hurt the following day as has happened with other hygienists. Karen is just the best at what she does. Recently, I cracked off a molar below the gum line and my regular dentist told me it could not be saved and had to come out. Returning to Dr. Cutler, he extracted my tooth/roots without complication and was able to insert the replacement implant the same day. This was completely painless with great results. Now I can look forward to getting my permanent crown and being able to chew again with no problems. So if you need specialized dental care and want an experienced and compassionate dentist with an excellent staff, I can strongly recommend Dr. Cutler and Ft. Washington Periodontics. They are truly excellent.

I usually don't write reviews, however I hate going to the dentist. I just had a very good experience that I needed to share. While eating a nut I thought I might have broken a tooth inside. I was experiencing excruciating nerve pain in my gums and side of my head. I went to the ER on a Sunday night where I received no help; luckily the next morning I was able to get an immediate appointment at Ft. Washington Periodontics. Dr. Cutler was quick in figuring out what tooth was the "root" of he problem causing me so much pain and in discussing what my options were. I needed to go see one of my medical specialists in center city prior to any surgical procedure whom I see for other health related issues. I also knew I needed to get this tooth out today cause I couldn't stand a second more of this terrible jolting pain. But in true Philly fashion I found myself in a traffic dilemma around 4:30pm and when I phoned Dr. Cutler's office crying in pain saying I was unsure if I would make it in time for my extraction before the office closed, they assured me Dr. Cutler would not leave me hanging. Thankful to say he did not. Dr. Cutler and his staff made this tooth extraction a far better experience then I would have ever expected. The doctor and his staff were wonderful in keeping me calm during the procedure and went over everything after the surgery. They even checked in on me that evening and the following morning to see how I was doing and to see if I had any questions. It was a comforting feeling knowing that I was in the experienced hands of extremely well qualified Periodontist. My overall health and any dental procedure I have is a major concern for me, it could be life threatening and so It is of utmost importance that I choose the right doctor. I entrusted Dr. Cutler and was extremely satisfied with the service I received and I recommend Ft. Washington Periodontics
